It really kicks you in the face! I love this album, stone cold american 90's classic.

Discuss and pole vaulting

It's the best.
In my opinion the end half Is stronger than the first half. Styrofoam Boots is VERY underrated.

What are some of your favorites from it?

All of it dude, 'working real hard to make internet cash work your fingers to your bone sittin on your ass'

Seems normal in 2014 but in 1998 or was it 97 seems kinda prescient.

Oh yeah your question - DOING THE COCKROACH!

COWBOY DAN!! Dude I completely agree this album is supreme!!! Heart cooks brains lyrics are platinum! Been listening to this album myself all week! So many memories.

One time I took acid and listened to third planet and I teared up. It hit a part of my soul. That's a whole other album and a whole other discussion

In the live performances I've seen of MM, some drunk guy shouts "COWBOY DAN!" Every time. So ironic.

It's a good song though don't get me wrong.

I listened to this album for a couple years then read a couple articles and wised up and realised a big part of it was about being on meth aka - its alright on ice - and driving around the states as a young band trying to make ends meet. Its does exactly what it says on the tin.

Yeah back when I did a lot of amphetamine they were playing in my car 24/7. Best music to get thwacked to.

They were our best hope for good stuff in the latter half of the 90s and early 2000's and too few people realize it.

Their next album (coming early next year) should be at the very least decent. But it has potential to kick ass if they don't follow the We Were Dead style and stick with stuff similar to No One's First

Im interested to listen to what Isaac has to say, no matter what year it is. They have such a unique sound, I kinda feel happy and and disappointed that their newest song sounds exactly like they do. Still though, that record..

Lampshades on Fire sounds pretty dancy, but it's not bad music it's just not old school mouse.
But the album could be different - really no way to tell. I hope there's at least one crazy ass song similar to "This Devils Workday" or "Bukowski" where Brock just flies off the handle, but that may be too much to ask.
