Sooo, Poppy Pods?

It's 2014. I still can't seem to find the answer; are poppy pods legal to purchase if the intent is not to consume? How about seeds with intent to grow? It's apparent that these thangs are used for floral arrangements.
I used TFSE. I could only bring up old threads from 4+ years ago.

intent to cultivate is a criminal offense, poppy pods are a legal gray area, they're used widely in floral arrangements but it's illegal to have poppy pods and poppy straw

Unfortunately, bomb poppy pods with reasonable prices are a thing of the past.
It used to be you could get a pound of super strong pods (only needed a tablespoon of grounds in a french press to get silly lifted) for 50 bucks. Now, everything I've found is not nearly so strong, and much more expensive.
The answer to your question I think is no; production/possession of poppy straw from P. somniferum is illegal, regardless of the intent. Buying the seeds is legal.
A lot of vendors have taken to selling somniferum/setigerum hybrids, which have lower alkaloid content and generally kind of suck.

By the way that's worded; you're only allowed to purchase pods and use those pods in your arrangements?

You're not even "allowed to", it's just mostly looked over by law enforcement.

You do mean "overlooked", right? Grey for sure. Investigated if ordering bulk or so?

A lot of people should grow them themselves and then do this: bogumil's chemical extraction of poppy straw (adh.fr.yuku.com)
Or find an opiate connection. Anything else is nonsense, really. Taking the time to harvest opium? GTFOOH. Paying premiums for low quality hybrids or whatever? GTFOOH. Preparing a drink from the crudeness of the entire plant material? GTFOOH.

that's the thing, it's illegal for them to be sold and illegal for you to possess them but it's legal to buy them.

Sorry, yeah, I'm kinda sick and the brain isn't working as well as I'd like.
I knew it sounded weird when I typed it, but told myself "it just sounds weird because you're sick and can't think clearly".

I've only done oxycontin and opium, opiums a lot different much more sedating, intoxicating and addictive. Its not really like oxy at all, oxy feels like a euphoric stimulant that doesn't last long to me. Its all subjective tho, hard to explain a high :p When I hit a big bong of O (thats how I smoke it) I get instant nod, I still feel effects next day not like oxy its a waste of money

Q'well hot damn. If the procedure wasn't so hard to follow. It feels like that document was speedily typed up.

Opium is far superior to any other single narcotic in my opinion. Beats oxy, heroin, dilaudid, fentanyl, hands down.
Withdrawal is also much worse, IMO. You're going into wd's from multiple opiates, instead of a single one.
