Round trip totes...

ok guys so after doing a lot of looking around I found I can get these for free I was just wondering if anyone has experience with these and if they're are suitable enough for mycology?
any opinions or advice would be preferred and appreciated greatly

Those are hard plastic & probably won't like having holes drilled in them.
Also they aren't close to air tight so you'd be looking at ripping the tops off & covering with cling wrap.
They would be good for storing supplies though

Why wouldn't they be? Just put holes in them like a mono and use clear Saran Wrap for the roof so light can get in there.
Be careful making the holes though.
What size are they by the way?

@pirateswazey alrighty thanks ya that's what im doin already using it for storage hehe :-) and ya that's what I was thinking I would have to tear off the lid then either put em in GH or make my own kind of sealed lid .
@thecheif why do u say be careful putting the holes in?

Totes like to crack when being drilled. Those seem especially liable. Its great that they are free, but I'd just pay the few bucks for some better ones. It would be a lot of effort to actually use those.

Yeah, look like they would be a PITA. It could be done though.
You would be better off buying some cheap clear totes with locking lids.
