The Gratitude Thread 3

This thread may crash n burn, but ahh, fuck it. With so many people struggling around here, I thought it would be good to create a part of the forum where we could remind ourselves that although life's hard sometimes, there's always something we can be grateful for. This is something I'm trying to incorporate into my everyday life, and maybe you can too.
So?

For real, this is a great little community here. It's the one place I can come to without fear (or care) of any judgement whatsoever. There's a lot of great people who have definitely helped me through some rough times in the past couple months.

The Huichol, for their awesome inspiring art that moves and teaches me how to improve my own. Also for the help they'll probably offer later, when I actually get around to flying my ass to Mexico
The psytrance festivals, for they bring the glory glory glory, happy times and hallelujah. My aim at going at three of them in 2015 has offered me focus, priorities in life, an exit from the constant drudgery found in workaholic city life.
Females and their awesome skins, shapes and voices, for they trigger super nice good vibes whenever engaged and immersed in.
Terence McKenna, Bashar, Alan Watts, Paul Dobransky, for they offer awesome lectures for me to stay positive with and learn to navigate life in more epic ways.
Omega 3 and the fine Spirulina algae, for they help modulate the brainwaves nicer, making life feel smooth and cozy.
Ayahuasca, the Santo Daime church over in NL that allowed me to partake so many times, and the knowledge and wisdom gained there. The music that enters one's brain and body and keeps on offering long term good vibes long after the ceremony is over.
The shrooms, cacti, lsd, salvia and dmt, for sharing freely of their visions and wonders, that we may all grow wiser and more cheerful and play nice with each other in harmony and good vibes
-------------------- Blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. - Matthew 13:16

Great topic m4dScientist! I practice gratefulness every morning with my meditation, shifting awareness around my body and being grateful for everything I have. I'm not perfect but I've realized how lucky I am and how much I have to be grateful for. This has really been a game changer for me, my self perception has completely shifted and my confidence is getting stronger every day.

I am grateful for the awesome friends i have around me, The privilege i have for being born in a nice american town with great parents that love me, having access to psychs and weed, the love some have shown me, and the lessons i have learned from all people regardless of if they showed me love. I am grateful for being able to play my instrument unhindered by physical disabilities that i totally don't have, grateful for all the other musicians who i have enjoyed and learned from. I am grateful for the forests that surround my world, and the mind i was given.

Today I am grateful for all of you!
Thank you all for sharing your knowledge, insight, and experiences with health & wellness.
Happy Winter Solstice & Happy New Moon!
Time to start planting seeds for the new year, as the long night gathers and the coming of the light begins.

My Dad was here yesterday and gave cards to both me & my boyfriend. In the message he wrote to my boyfriend he said "...and have a Joyist New Year"
Knowing my Dad, I know he meant to write "Joyous" but misspelled because he's horrible with spelling and grammar.
I think JOYist is just as cool, though, and have decided that Joyism is an ism with which I can totally be on board! So, I am making that intention for 2015 - to be more of a Joy-ist; one who practices Joy as a way of life. Cultivating hilaritas, as dear Bob would say; ye old cosmic giggle.
amor et hilaritas, yb

This thread has helped me quite a lot.
Over the past few days i've started introducing gratitudinal messages into my meditations, and remembering to be thankful for everything in this life. The gratitude has not only helped my meditations become more focussed and effective at consciousness expansion, but they have actually helped me get into my chakras and feel a cleaner flow of energy into my nervous system - so thank you.
This is the winter solstice! The deep inhale before the birth of a new cycle here on planet Earth! Let's all carry forward the message of Joyism as we venture forth into a new year

Today, I'm grateful for the music that soothes my soul. I'm dealing with an extremely mentally ill parent, and in my downtime it's incredible how a couple of songs can help ground my spirit.
I'm grateful for the posters who help keep this thread alive, reminding me that this is something I should continue trying to incorporate into my life.
Good vibes

Grateful for memories, grateful for friends and family, grateful for music, grateful for mushrooms and LSD. Simple man I am.

Great thread man. Right now I'm grateful to have clean air in my lungs, nutritious food in my stomach and a warm roof over my head. Life is good.

Today, I'm super grateful for the people in my life (even some of the friends I've made on here). My mom is very sick, mentally, and was admitted to the hospital today. Someone I've only known for a week n a half offered to drive me to the hospital. And lots of people on here have been super supportive throughout this process. I've never had problems making friends, and I've never belonged to an online community before, but I can truly say the knowledge and generosity I've experienced here can't be described in words.
