Ive had this problem. I didnt flip the jars because it was too late the dirty verm already fell through.
Ive never had a cake contam from this but Im sure it could happen. Just leep an eye on them but Id leave them be.
Im not sure how to prevent this short of filling the jars differently somehow

I've also had the same problem but the cakes fruit fine after a 24hr dunk . I've also had jars that were 100% colonized but look 80-90% because the contam barrier went down the side of the jar and it just looked like they weren't done.
