Increase mycelium growth?

Hey guys. After about 1 week a few of my jars started showing growth, Fast forward 1 and half more weeks and the mycelium has definitely grown a bit more but I feel its a bit slow. I know the most important part of this hobby is patience but I cant help but feel the slow growth is from the temperature or from dry substrate. I used the recommended amount of verm/brf/water for half pint jars. And its usually around 68 degrees on average in my home.
So what kind of technique can be used to speed up mycelium growth? Perhaps warming them up? flipping the jars upside down? Any info would be good. Thanks

I've experienced both slow and fast growth. When my ambient temps were around 65 they went slooow. Now I have rearranged some stuff and opened a heat duct and it is around 70 and they seem to go quicker.
Also, I would say the variety & strain also plays a part.
I notice some varieties really seem to colonize quicker than others, but I cannot back this with scientific proof. It has just been an observation.
I would say a little cooler and slower is better than being to warm and inviting contams.
Have to be patient...

looks great! you could bump up the temps some. but slow and steady usually wins the race, contams hate low temps, cube myc does OK in it!

The strain is B+, Which I know is notorious for slightly slow but sure growth, Also is good with cold temps.
Are there any safe ways I can increase the temp in the jars a bit without simply turning up the hear in the house? shits expensive. I would really like to get them around 75 degrees.

The slow growth is likely due to genetics, if you're using ms which I imagine is the case.
Patience is key in life, and not just shroomin'. Learn the lesson it has to teach you.

You could put it by some electronics? Maybe on top of your fridge, by your TV, computer, etc. Maybe get a space heater for one room and keep them in there? Plenty of safe ways. Try to find a source of heat you already have in your home!

no.
each multi spore injection contains a buttload of spores which will all have their own properties. some b+ will be fast, some will be slow, same goes for most varieties of cubes except a couple mutant ones.
