I used to carry a decoy wallet too! I had a bunch of foreign currency that I hung onto after trips from years back so I slipped a few rupees in there and punch cards for coffee, and stuffed it full of a lot of ultimately worthless stuff.

Lost it before I actually got to try the decoy wallet and ended up getting my phone and real wallet taken when I actually got robbed .

Here's my "spare wallet" to hand over to a bad guy:

And I don't keep money in my wallet.  Ever.  Only cards and ID, with only one card even being worth a shit and easy to cancel/dispute charges.  Elsewise it's a couple gift cards, shooting range card, ID, and a debit card to an account I keep empty except for depositing cash for online purchases here and there.

A few years ago around christmas time I got robbed. Stupid incident, not much to say about it. The guy produced a knife and said "gimme your wallet!", me I got the wallet and said semi retarded: "my shit's in my wallet!" "Then gimme your money!" so I gave the kid the bills and he ran off.

Ever since, two things happened:

1) I now carry a spare wallet for the purpose of handing over to robbers and to pay for stuff in situations I consider shifty.

2) Every year at christmas time, if I havent been robbed that year, I completely clean out my wallet to an unsuspecting homeless person asking for a coin.

That happened just now. It was a guy, I think from central europe or poland, about 20 or so trying to sell homeless magazines to passers by.

I didnt buy a magazine but cleaned out on him instead.

exactly €44,22 it turned out ($55) he mustve loved those 22 cents

He was amazed and very grateful so I wished him a merry christmas and got away with him shouting thanks after me :smile2:

Look I don't want a pat on the back, I got my Higher Self for that, what I'm hoping for is that at least one of you gets inspired to do the same thing.

You can plan this so its not a moronic amount of money, just, a lot by homeless standards.

No facebook selfies allowed but DO TELL US if you plan to & when you did this!

Three things.

1.  I thought you lived in a socialist Nirvana where nobody had needs unmet
2.  You live in a shitty neighborhood
3.  You are a good guy

I'd love to have one of those honestly, and the world would be a better place with me concealed carrying in it.

But alas, such is not legal where I live.

If you have a firearm permit here you can look forward to cops showing up at your door atv any given time demanding to inspect your weapons locker.

Fuck that.

Beautiful toy you got there though, its one I'd love to have, myself. I like the simplicity of revolvers and the compactness and internal hammer and it being .357 Mag all says yes to me.

Maybe 10% of people votes Socialist and we got 21% sales tax here. No needs unmet my foot!

Good neighborhood actually, just a bad guy. My guess was a speed freak. It was real stupid of me complaining about my shit being in my wallet, thats a thing to get stabbed over.

Cops actually recommend decoy wallets. With a decoy wallet everybody wins. Junkie gets his fix or bottle of gin and you get to keep your cards and stuff.

Thank you. I hope if I'm ever down on my luck that another would do the same for me.

Dude fight for your possessions, fuck handing anything over without a fight.

I carry some brass knuckles just for these types of situations.

If your opponent has a knife, any action on your part not involving a Glock ends up with you getting stabbed several times.

I'm poor, but fuck money if it means not getting stabbed. I have a second wallet to hand over.

Brass knuckles are a really bad idea. unless you are in a fist fight, then its a pussy move.

The knuckles are only deployed in unfair situations, yes bringing knuckles to a one on one fist fight is a pussy move, I agree.

There are many ways to avoid get stabbed even if you do not carry a weapon.

I don't carry a wallet at all.  My ID, credit shit and hundreds are loose in my left pocket and 50s and down are loose in my right.  You try to rob me I turn out my right pocket.  Then again, nobody has ever tried to rob me.  Ever.  Anywhere.  For some reason people don't fuck with me.

Amazingly enough I am a fairly charitable person.  Be humble, be thankful and don't try to scam me and I might help,

The 2nd wallet is a good idea
Not to many guy wanna rob a 6' 8" biker in all leather
There was one time though a guy tires robbing me while my buddy went inside a gas station to get some food and drinks while I was sitting on my bike and my buddy came walking out as the guyvproceded to hold a knife at me so I got off my bike ( which is low to the ground) so I guess he assumed I was much shorter but I towered over the guy so he got scared and tried to run and my buddy grabbed him by the throut and lifted him up and we have him a nice biker beat down
But ur story inspired me but all the homless men around here are just fake assholes that get dirty and put on a fake beard and beg for monning walking in circles around the local Lowe's

Honestly armed robbery is such a common problem here that I would be worried about what a guy with a gun would do if I didn't have a wallet or bag to give them. People commonly get shot when they don't give up their stuff or try to fight back, and I could see it happening to someone who didn't have anything on them.

It's also possible people don't try to rob you because you don't have a wallet sticking out of your pocket or aren't carrying a bag or fiddling with a smartphone.
