Bruising:
Not very apparent, stems are very thin.

Other information:
No apparent scent

Possibly Panaeolus cinctulus, I'm curious about the habitat though, those don't grow on wood chips. Do you have a photo of them in their natural habitat?

Compare to Parasola (Psathyrella) conopilus, definitely not a Panaeolus cinctulus or another Panaeolus for that matter.
I doubt you'll find actives besides maybe P. cinctulus in Ashland, its too dry/arid IMO.

That's what I thought, I haven't found anything this year and was surprised when I came across these. Couldn't figure it out on my own though :P haha

Will get a habitat shot up ASAP tomorrow. Also, the area I found them has been amended with all kinds of stuff, bark on top of a compost/poo/soil blend

Chemult Oregon which is a little ways north of you has some of the best matsutake hunting in the entire State maybe even the nation..
Matsutake are fucking delicious and worth a lot of money. look under pines in sandy soil, there might still be a few of them out.

Aren't Parasola mushrooms characterised by pleats or grooves on the cap? I can't see any on the OP's pics. What am I missing here?

Conopilus doesn't look like many of the other Parasolas.
