Dirty man sex...
I think I just found some contam after I mixed the bag around. There seem to be tiny green patches on some of the grains inside the bag. Egh... Oh well, if at first you don't succeed... I'm up for anything right now, don't exactly know which tek to try. I really can do any of them. Any suggestions?

Be patient... b+ ARE slow. EQ's are much faster. Don't toss the bag untl the green wins the battle... you never know, the white may win.

uh... they're sealed, unless sporebank sent me a bad bag...
you're right though, it won't hurt to at least hold onto it. And the smell? It smells the same, grainy, like a wet dog. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

They ARE sealed, but if you squeeze the air filled bag lightly and sniff the patch... you can smell any contams. They don't smell like wet dog dirt... that is mycobag smell.

They don't get much... but they don't need much. You can always birth them as cakes.

looking at your shrooms in that pic that are over a week old(in the bag)id say thats why they are so slow, they usually shoot up real quick(less than a week) once they have formed.

Yeah, I have no clue... all I know is b+ grew about 3x slower than the TEKs say cubes grow. Other strains haven't suffered the same fate in bags.

My friend too also has got a bag from sporebank, and innoculated it with a puerto rican strain spore syringe about a week ago!! No signs of anything yet except for tinywater droplets in the bag {bottom area}, my friend is keeping the bag in a dresser drawer and the room is like 75 ish, what could he do to speed this up??

Raise the temperature 5-10 degrees... that could speed growth. Did you inject the middle of the bag, or the part between the substrate and the walls of the bag?
One week isn't long... Tweex waited 3. PR's are known to be fast colonizers though.

with mycobags you need to inoculate at two seperate points towards the walls of the bag, not the center, and keep the temp at around 80-85 if possible, mycobags will test your patience. Good Luck

he injected the bag in small spurts in different areas of the bag i guess more in the substrae as opposed to the total edge because he was nervous about puncturing a hole in the bag,, should he put a heating blanket in the draw to raise temp??

Only if he can be sure about his temp.
Too cool is always better than too hot.
Wait more. Make sure your bags are unfolded, so the filter patch can do its job.

He didn't use the whole syringe and still has a 1/3 of a syringe left, should he save this and use later if there is no signs of growth? or should he go and try to innoculate a few jars on his first pf tek attempt? By the way puerto's any good??

Wait for a couple more weeks. It'd be a shame to use the spores you didn't need.
Did you smash your bags after inoculation to mush the substrate?
If not, go ahead. You may see growth.
Otherwise... let 'em sit. If you don't have growth in three weeks, re-inoculate.

PR should be faster but, a bag is much bigger than a half pint jar.
