Re: where do we go when we die... [Re: Annom]

It's interesting to think about the implications of this question. "Where do we go when we die?" This begs the question: What is meant by "we"? I know where our physical bodies go: 6 feet under the ground. But are we more than our physical bodies? This, I think, is the essence of the question. Are we conscious, in some form or another, after death?

I believe we are, but it would be a very different state of consciousness than what we can experiencee here on earth with our physical bodies, even on high doses of DMT(which, I believe, is released in the brain upon death in order to help ease the transition between living consciousness and this new consciousness). In this consciousness, we would have no ego and therefore no consiousness of self. We would have no physical senses such as seeing or hearing--only a sort of universal awareness, as opposed to self-awareness. We would, in a sense, become one with God.

Another creature is concieved in a womb/egg, and this universal consciousness takes on a physical form. In the case of some of the creatures with more highly evolved brains, such as primates, it develops an ego in order to learn complex social interactions. In other cases, it develops physical awareness(awareness of the body and it's needs, such as food, water, and reproduction), but not self-awareness in the sense that we have it. In either case, DMT is again released in the brain in order to ease the transition into this new level of consciousness. And the cycle continues...

At least in my humble opinion

Well ok my mind has gone to mush recently probably too much distraction from my new GF. Anyway I did mean Quantom Mechanics
because there is lots of stuff going on that we dont even know about yet. Remember the universe is only made up of 5% matter then there is dark matter and not forgetting diffrent layer of realitys and dimensions.

Considering that your mind stops doing all of the things we can observe after death, it seems quite likely that it stops doing all the things that we can't measure, as well.

Well there has been measured quite a bit of electracle activity in the brain which last a while after death. As i have said in previous posts how do you know that your not just some type of alien slug in a diffrent dimension living on the back of this human form.

Yes, but it's about infinite small distances. If the distances increase it's not about quantum mechanics, but normal mechanics.

It doesn't matter that only 5% is matter. The rest will not be something where we go when we die.

What different layers of reality and dimensions do you mean? How do we know they exist?

What is the base of your believes? Why is your believer more logic than the believe that we turn into grass when we die?

Is this correct?

Yes.

"The WMAP team found that the big bang and Inflation theories continue to ring true. The contents of the universe include 4 percent atoms (ordinary matter), 23 percent of an unknown type of dark matter, and 73 percent of a mysterious dark energy. The new measurements even shed light on the nature of the dark energy, which acts as a sort of anti-gravity." - http://www.nasa.gov/audience/forstudents/9-12/features/oldteacher_feature.html

I don't know whether it is mass % or volume % or something else.....

Although this hasnt been necessarily disproven, it is not exactly accepted fact. As much as I love to believe in alternate dimensions and dark matter, the fact of the matter is that these are kind of "fudge factors" in our mathematical models of the univewrse. It could very possibly be that the reason we see a huge gravitational effect with no matter to account for it is simply because we don't fully understand gravity. Not because there is some mysterious "dark matter" that we can't see.

I too believe that consciousness is merely a form of energy. Consciousness drives our brains and hence our bodies. But when this physical body dies, the energy of consciousness does not vanish into thin air. Energy can be neither created nor destroyed, only conserved. I believe that if we have not yet reached Awareness or Pure Consciousness, we are reincarnated on the Earth (in another physical form) to work off more of our own karma. It is when we realize this Pure Consciousness (the Atman, if you will) that we can merge with it; at this point, a physical body (and the associated Ego) would not only be useless but harmful.

As to the multiple universes thing, I believe it was David Deutsch who proposed the theory of the Muliverse to explain the behavior of shadow photons. The Multiverse is a set of infinitely many universes occurring simultaneously; a new universe is created for every possible occurrence which might happen in this moment (there are many!). Hence, shadow photons do not vanish into thin air, but are simply able to travel to parallel dimensions; I believe there has been an experiment which have been able to make a shadow photon "disappear" and then "reappear" from the same point.

Paco Ahlgren's "Discipline" (I can e-mail this to you if you PM me. Good book -- you won't be disappointed) and Michael Crichton's "Timeline" covered these concepts rather well for the layman.

Peace and love,
Tim.

You must have missed this part of my post:

At least in my humble opinion

I never said it was any more logical than your beliefs. My beliefs are not based so much on logic as they are on experience. When I took 5g of mushrooms and had my ego stripped away from me, I felt a connection to a more primal, universal consciousness. It was just a connection, and therefore I did not entirely attain this level of consciousness, but I felt a certain understanding of it, albeit an incomplete understanding. All I truly understood was that it existed.

Ok fine string theory, this says there is 11 difrent dimensions, one is time then there is the width, length and depth. Then there is a higher dimentions layered right on top of us which could only be a few mm away. So we could easily be conected to these world withou any concious awareness of it except when takeing dmt
