Hey guys. A couple months ago I tilled, seeded, and fertilized my lawn. This past week I noticed some mushrooms growing, but after recent rain they got a lot bigger so I decided to check them out, try to id them. There are a few clusters throughout my lawn, but none as mature as the pics below. I'm thinking most are Pan. Cinctulus..but I have never id'd these before. I'm not sure about the caps looking so cracked, but I'm thinking thats just from being in the sun all day. Also noticed black spores fallen on smaller caps, and a blue bruise on the base of a stem. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
Habitat: New lawn , recently fertilized.
Gills: Matured specimens have brown gills. see picture
Stem: Brownish reddish, hallow
Cap: Matured speciemen have cracked looking caps, brown and cream. Younger specimen mostly cream colored.
Spore print color: In progress, but can see black spores left on a cap.
Bruising: None, except for at the bottom of one stem, small blue spot
Location: Southern California

Thanks guys, this is a pleasant surprise. Other than watering, is there anyway I could encourage mycelium growth? Any way to encourage pinning?

Well the spore prints are jet black. I collected about two dozen this morning. Funny how they just seem to find me.. I think i'm going to make a spore solution, spray myself and then the lawn.
