So i was bored today and drove out to one of my mining claims. Hiked down to the river with a pan and a hatchet, chopped off an inch of ice from a little riverside hole ive been working and managed to do a single pan before my hands started to freeze. not a bad one though, about 20 colors.
the gold is the shiny stuff on the top half the pan btw.

Is that really worth much or is it more of a hobby?

With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way. I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today. Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. You're part of a machine, you are not a human being With your face all made up, living on a screen. Low on self esteem, so you run on gasoline

Either way, Rock on!
-------------------- Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

read the general mining act of 1872, and then google "mining claim procedures" from the nevada bureau of mines and geology. thats pretty much all you need to know. then get some surface management maps, and some stakes. 40 acres and a mule is optional

I think that vial is at least 10 dollars in gold, probably took me about $5 in gas, and a $2000 machine to get it.... just 1000 more visits and ill be paid off! haha

nah I have a suction dredge, those things are not cheap.... but they can move like 2 yards of material an hour. which is the equivilent of about 2 tons of sand i wont have to move by hand.
down side is that panning catches the little stuff WAY better
