My theory of geometric patterns and how it shows evolution

Alright so this theory makes complete sense in my mind but im finding it difficult to put it into words, so make of this as you will. I am mainly referring to high doses of mushrooms and DMT containing plants
So when the first living, communicating complex organisms (early humans) first discovered the powers of psychoactive plants they began drawing/painting what they saw. These images may be found in cave drawings in which today look simple but at the time may have been extremely complex. Then cue a lengthy period of time later to many ancient tribes such as the Aztecs/Mayans and tribes of Africa, they began to be able to draw the patterns and visions they had seen more superior, still today the do not look as complex. Now this current age with modern psychedelic artists attempting to draw/paint what they have seen look extremely complex, more detailed. However we all know that no artist no matter how good could ever draw/paint an image that could match the complexity of the visions from the psychedelic experience, especially those in which are seen on high doses
Now assuming the chemical structure of these psychedelic plants has remained unchanged since it first grew on earth then what we can see is the evolution of the mind represented through the drawings of humans attempting to draw what was seen whist under the hold of the experience. Our representations of the visions seen on psychedelics are as only as complex as our brain allows them to be.
So what does this mean... Well my theory and maybe others as well is think of your brain as a complex computer, when a high dose of a psychedelic is consumed it takes you within the programming inside ones mind/brain and at that point in time your brain is being pushed into the next stage of evolution represented by the complex mathematical symbols/patterns/linguistics. These could not be found within normal daily brain functioning as we are not at that stage yet but under the influence we are able to understand and view these.
So that's my view on one way the visions could be interpreted.

I think it's more likely it's just much harder to draw the visuals with primitive art supplies. The Aztecs/Mayans did an amazing job of capturing exactly the kind of hallucinations I often get on my bathroom walls during the comeup with high doses of mushrooms. But then their culture appeared to revolve around these sacred visions as well...
I do tend to agree that psychedelics take you inside your own programming though. Whether that's a new stage of evolution would depend on how long humans survive on this planet.

Great post and interesting point of view. I've always been fascinated with why we have visuals. Here's my take...
You've heard "A dream within a dream", right? I believe that's why we see patterns. I haven't tried DMT or high doses of mushies to get real geometric patterns per se, but I've dabbed around with enough LSD to see an hear some intense shit. Your mind is merely a filter; it shows you what you want it to project. However, in this "reality" we are so disconnected from our subconscious that our minds can't achieve what we achieve in dream states. Therefore we have a very limited sense of perception. When we dream we are directly connected to our subconscious. The thing that I like to think supports my theory is Lucid dreaming. Being concious within the subconscious...and that is...reality...and that is what drugs achieve.
Theories are theories, though.

"I think it's more likely it's just much harder to draw the visuals with primitive art supplies"
That may be true but it isnt hard to draw a 3D pyramid or rectangle with a piece of charcoal (today) and that knowledge had to start somewhere. Please correct me if i am wrong but i am yet to see an ancient drawing of even a basic 3D shape. Even with the immense amount of technology and supplies we have today why are we still unable to match the complexity of these visions we see during an experience

Yeah but consider the circumstances, and compare that to the modern world. The palates, the media, the detail you can get with art pencils and other methods. Plus, right, techniques. The vanishing point wasn't even known until around 1450, so no 3D drawings. Really no comparison there. I doubt visuals have ever changed for people, the descriptions are always the same, so far as I can tell.
Good post, though.

I like your theory, never thought of it this way...it makes sense to me since life is evolving all the time so who knows what the human mind will become in thousands/millions of years (thats assuming we haven't killed the earth yet or exterminated our race with nuclear weapons).
