Few questions about Agar and liquid cultures

Hi all!
Trying my first go at Agar using the Pasty Plate method! Ordered all my stuff, but I had a few questions:
1. How long will Agar be good for after it is colonized? How long can I keep it (not in a fridge or freezer) before using?
2. If I order Liquid Culture, can I inoculate with the colonized agar? And back to question 1, how long is liquid culture good for? In the jar and in the syringe?
3. I have a previous attempted grow where I accidentally caused Myc Death with a heater, some of it recovered but it did not take. The Myc is still there after a few weeks (not growing), can I take one of the colonized grains and put them in agar/liquid culture? Or has something bad most likely formed by now?
Thanks for all the help in advance!

You can put a colonized grain on agar and try to seperate out healthy growth. I just did this with a pan cyan culture I couldnt get germination on straight agar with.
Im not sure how long a plate can last in a fridge but if you make a master slant with agar it can keep a culture for years, and into perpetuity with a little maitinence. Out a the fridge your culture will keep growing out and eat up all the agar, dry out, or contam
You can inoculate LC with agar and many people do, I dont, I drop a wedge straight into my grains.
There is also a newer method which involves blending the agar in sterile water called liquid innoculant

Nothing new about it, you can see one of the long term vendors Ryche Hawk talking about it in this thread from 14.5years ago http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22533#22533
another older one here trying to sell a blender and saying how good LI is vs normal agar. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/92301
The method (agar in blender with water) is clearly spelt out in the mushroom cultivator book which is 30 years old.
