Crumbling Substrates for monotube?

I am looking at another thread
and found this
"Well a couple seem like that, nd i wanted to crumble a couple nd transfer to grain, would that be okay? and is that a sign of contam or no? "
What is the OP doing here? It seems like he plans to take out the substrates from jars, crumble them into a tub with some kind of base and let them grow? Am I mistaken? AND if am correct, why is he doing this or why would he?

I'm trying to understand why he's doing a jar method and then crumbling them. DOn't forget I am only just starting my first attempting cultivating myself...

No, You're asking what a monotub is , that's why he's laughing.
That's pretty normal. You'd crumble and treat it like it's grains, mixing it with Coir and Verm for a bulk grow.

I know bud I'm just messing with you like Gyo said. It's possible to crumble BRF cakes into a bulk substrate, yes. It's not the recommended method, but it can work.

For the potential of more shrooms but this can backfire and contam. Just stick with the cakes first and then crumble when you're comfortable growing.
It's also called a MonoTUB, not TUBE. Don't make that mistake

Haha. I think people usually crumble cakes when they already have them made, but don't want to fruit them just as cakes. Most people use grain when doing bulk.
