inoculation question

i just got my pre-sterilized brf jars.....they got air filter disks under the lid
my question do i need to punch holes in the lids ,cant i leave the lids loose or use foil.....no biggie just curious

BTW i got some home made jars already innoculated....so No,  make your own substrate comments... :smile:

how are you going to inocc the jars without holes? Just curious.

take the lid off.....poke through filter disks,

well iv done one already... logic tells me it should work

deadly....just curious...you can probably just leave the lid loose and air flow will be fine with filter discs.

your gonna be fine yeskaa...flame the end of the needle, inoculate on the sidewall of the jar, pull the needle out and slide the inside part of the jar cover over the hole, so its not exposed to any air. do this on 4 sides of each jar. dont forget to put a hole in the lid, about a half inch in diameter. this will work for ya! keep us updated man! what strain are you using? dont let people get you down on you for not making your own substrate, but its nice to see you did give it a shot. good luck!
