Small Brown Wavy Caps: Is it an active Psilocybe cyanescens?

Habitat: North Carolina (Upper East Region) These mushrooms were picked near a lake, on marshy ground. They were growing on a fallen oak tree. The tree had algae on it and the bark was wet, and peeled when plucking a mushroom.
They were growing mostly in clusters, but some were growing individually.
Gills: The gills are brown
Stem: The stem length is about an inch.

that makes two strikes on my hunt. I have one more species of mushrooms that I found. It has brown gills, so there might be hope.
Tanks for the blunt answer.

Take a picture of the other species of mushrooms you found bro. I can tell you weather they are Psilocybe cyanescens or not.
I can also give you advice on what Psilocybe cyanescens looks like if you would appreciate it.

Almost certainly an omphaloid though
I looked at the description. These mushrooms definitely have a smell... like fish.

Those are not Psilocybe cyanescens either.
Psilocybe cyanescens have - White stems - Bruise blue - EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!! - A caramel couloured cap that can be dark or light but mostly a mixture of dark and light
Click the link for referance on cap colour https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=psilocybe+cyanescens&biw=1366&bih=667&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=sFOGVPbdCMmA8gWc4YK4DA&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ
Also see my pictures on my signature of Psilocybe subaeruginosa. Psiloybe subaeruginosa looks identical to Psilocybe cyanescens. The white stem, blue bruising and cap colour are the same for both species the shape is just diferent so look at my signature pictures for reference.
But my advise to you is to find out what active species of mushroom grows in your hood, research it, then go hunting and always ID your suspected active finds on shroomery.
You cant just see some mushrooms that are brown and assume they are active. You need to find out the habitat they grow in and go hunting there.
And if you want to ask a question or need any help hit me up on PM or ask your question on shroomery. Don't be hesitant no question relating to magic mushrooms is stupid.
