Amanita muscaria var flavivolvata??
    #20943184 - 12/07/14 04:38 PM (9 years, 5 months ago)

Pretty surprising find, I didn't think they'd be over here even if var flavivolvata. Check it out! Pretty cool:

I hear these aren't really that edible though but I've seen them prepared in numerous ways. How's that? I was planning on going up north or to Siberia to check these out.

David Arora's preparation:

"Please do not use this video as a guide for eating your own Amanita Muscaria or other poisonous mushrooms. Only eat mushrooms after they have been identified by a professional mycologist."

So do they just eat the maggots? Or only use clean specimens? It seems like most people take freshly picked specimens and dry them, assuming maggots were in them they seem to be of little concern. Of course everyone knows they're a source of protein. Yeah they would die if cooked but they'll still be there. Is that part of the ritual?
