Calgary's pot industry

Just finished reading an interesting article in this local newspaper (mostly entertainment type stuff) about the value of Calgary's pot industry. After a cop told the reporter his estimate was around $1,000,000,000 (yes, billion), he talked to some other people and concluded that is was probably between $350,000,000 and $500,000,000. Not bad eh? We are definately doing our part to 'overgrow' the government. Also, in the article some dude who owns a local hemp shop estimates that there are 350,000 people in our city who smoke weed (pop 900,000). How he came to that number, I have no idea, but I thought it was funny that he thinks almost half of our city tokes. Maybe, who knows.

We may have to partake of the local culture there in Calgary, sooner than later!!!

Pick up the newest issue of "Forbes". The money mag...Has a HUGE dope leaf on the front, you cant miss it. A long, well written article about B.C's Pot Economy. How they could pay for most of the provinces infrastructure costs from that...Good read.

Yeah, they talk about that too...Pretty cool stuff, relaly. About people just running through the woods with 100 pounds on their back..And kayaking out, dropping a bundle with an inflatable thing that is set to inflate in so many hours...High tech.

in Calgary you can get a 1/4 oz. of some bad ass bud for about $50 (CAN) or about $30 (US). In Houston it's $20 a gram straight up.

A guy at the ontario, manitoba border was caught with 1000 pounds.. That's soo much pot.. The pot industries huge all over Canada.. Where I live there are grow houses in every neighborhood.. The police calculated that there are thousands in this city alone and are unable to to bust 9 out of 10 of them from lack of resources.. It's similar everywhere..

The industry may be big all over Canada, but BC still reigns supreme:D They don't call Vancouver "Vansterdam" for nothing;)
In Banff a guy insisted on giving my bf $40 CAN for an 1/8th claiming it was well worth it for primo BC bud. He refused over and over to take that much, but the guy gave it to him anyways. That's rad.

yah, I live in WA and we get tons of BC.... bc bud is our standard shit, and it still kicks the snot out of the rest of the US. I have a steady supply of seattle homegrown, which is by far the best I've smoked (though I dont doubt that somewhere in BC there is danker stuff)
