Bosch was such a genius. He was centuries ahead of his time. His work is so twisted and detailed, I love it. Does anyone else know any artists similar to Gyronimus(sp.?)?

Hieronymous.
Here's some similar art, as in the sometimes disturbing subject matter, although not all in the same style necessarily:

Check out Peter Bruegel the Elder...similar in subject matter, style, and in use of symbolic detail...

Yeah, I was going to suggest, Pieter Brueghel. He was roughly a a contempoary of Bosch's. His stuff isn't nearly as far out, though...
There are those who theorize that Bosch was actually a woman, but then there are those that theorize that about Shakespeare and da Vinci too...

Not much is known about Bosch. Some think he may have been schizophrenic. He was way ahead of his time, that's for sure.

Correct me if I'm wrong but altho I personally enjoy the bumping of old threads I think the objection to unearthing them has something to do with excercising creativity in re formulating them as new threads.

The band, The Pixies did a song called debaser which referenced a film (I Believe Italian) that was about cutting up eyeballs.
