Ok. Temp cycling DEFINITELY works excellent for reducing your time to initial pinning. Unfortunately that cake got no dunk and produced a meesly 5 gram's dry. Another cake was dunked and rolled(no temp cycling), took roughly a week to start pinning, but theres about 25+ pin's started.
Basically If you go cakes DUNK and ROLL them and prolly temp cycle for a few days prior to the DUNK and ROLL. And That's all I have to say about that.... :thumbup:

Still testing the HYBRID mushroom/human theory but no sucess yet.  :syringe:

Aye forgot to specify that really. Kinda just figured DUNK included cold shock. Thanks for pointin that out. When I dunk I put in fridge for a day. Thanks all

Would there be any harm done by injecting enough distilled water into the pf tek cakes without taking them out to submerge them, then chilling? That way you can cut out the whole contamination issue during the transfer between 1/2 pint jar and dunking container. Has anyone tried this?

just put the water into the jar that you colonized them in close up the jar and put it in the fridge........doesn't get easier than that

Thats what I thought, but I am not 100% sure, since nothing I have read on here says anything about dunking without removing the colonized cakes. Thought someone might have some insight as to why not just let them stay where they are.
