Dilemma: transport fc or minimal misting/fanning

Hey folks,
Enjoying my first grow, looks like all jars are contaminant free and will be ready to be birthed soon. When I first inoculated my jars I forgot that I would be housesitting/dogsitting just about the time the cakes would be fruiting. So now I have a dilemma: do I bring my sgfc with me while I housesit (provided its ok by the owners) and risk bruising the cakes during transport or drive home (about 20 minutes) once or twice a day for over a week to mist and fan? Will misting and fanning once or twice a day even cut it? Any tried and true methods for transporting a fruiting chamber w/ cakes? I live in an apartment which makes getting things in and out while they're growing especially tricky (doable but tricky). Let me know if you have any thoughts or similar experiences. Thanks for the help!

Use cakes to spawn to coir and make a monotub. Once the mono is ready to fruit you will be back.

Any recommendations on a simple tek for a small monotub (specifically five brf cakes)?

Tomorrow will end the week of consolidation and I'll be housesitting starting Thursday.

You can throw it in the fridge to slow down cell division and take it out when you're ready. Give it a day at room temp to pick back up where it left off and then birth it. I wouldn't expect my first grow to go well with no maintenance or supervision.
Or just let them consolidate more. This will only benefit you in the long run.

Are there any potential disadvantages in letting them consolidate an extra week?

Potential pre pinning in the jar, but it should be manageable.

Wait, you can transport your SGFC with your cakes in it? Just drive safe. I don't really recommend this though but I'm sure you can pull it off.

I may end up just birthing them half way through my visit but do it back at my place. Then I'll drive back and forth maybe twice a day to mist and fan. Might be a lot of driving but it's managable for a few days.
