Looking for some all round remote monitoring tools (Having physical access)

I'm building a gaming PC for somebody soon, and he is ordering all of his parts in two stages as he gets the money. He's asked me that if he buys the hard drive among the first lot, that I could install windows and any drivers that I would be able to so that it's ready to use once built; So of course I'm taking this as an opportunity to somebody I don't particularly like. I'm looking for some programs that are able to monitor everything he does on his PC. He's not exactly very proficient at anything more than general use, and so It doesn't need to be perfectly hidden (Effectively, as long as it's not listed in the start menu/uninstall program list then he won't realize). I will have a week or so of access to his hard drive so i have plenty of time to set it up, but after I build the PC I won't have physical access again so I want to get it right. What are some programs that I can install to his PC that will allow monitoring remotely? I have tried ardamax in the past and it just hasn't worked for longer than a minute or so, so any alternatives would be great. Other than keyloggers, are there any remote access/viewing programs that I can install? I was thinking of installing Teamviewer, but It isn't very hidden so he would probably uninstall it (As well as it alerting you when you use it). Thanks.

I hope nobody will help you with this unethical endeavour and I am certain that nothing good will come of it.
The best advise I can give you is to reconsider your plan and see if there's a way out that doesn't involve you sneaking behind someone's back, breaking laws as you go.

I should probably note this is only just a little bit of personal fun, I won't be stealing credit card details or doing anything real with this information. I dont believe a simple keylogger is actually illegal either.

I dunno man, even as a joke, it sounds like one that could backfire pretty seriously. There are funny jokes and sick jokes and this one borders on the latter, in my opinion. As to the legality of keyloggers: I understand it's a bit of a grey area.

Depending on where you live, this could get you in quite a bit of trouble. As an extreme example, imagine that you are looking at the websites that he visits and you stumble upon a child exploitation site that is actually a honey pot being operated by the police.

Don't listen to these assholes. Here's what you want. It can open ports with UPnP or connect to an intermediate c&c server, it will take screenshots at regular intervals or when there are windows open with text of your choosing in the title bar, it can start the webcam (it can prevent some models from activating the LED), and you can take over the mouse/keyboard if you want. The program lives in it's own encrypted file system deep in the system files, so he won't even notice.

I would advise against it incase of what you find. Private information should remain private and no good can come of you snooping on a friend. Once you find a disturbing secret, you've to live with it forever in silence cause you found out illegally. Trust me on that...
