My terrarium
    #2090671 - 11/10/03 10:51 PM (13 years, 28 days ago)

I have 95 qt tupperware box. the bottom is lined with perlite, h20, & h202. also on the bottom are 2 aquarium rock air suppliers. the average humidity is around 85-88%. The average temp is around 65-68 degrees. is this temp warm enough? also does anyone see any problems with my set up? will I need to fan even though I have the air system? help me out here folks, thank you.

You might want to bring the temp up a little if possible. The humidity is great and everything else sounds good. You shouldn't have to fan cause of the air stones...do you have any holes that air can leave from?

We use a heating pad wrapped in a heavy towel under the tub. Sounds like a good set up. Make sure you have a couple of holes for the air exchange. And what are you growing? Good luck!!!!!

I've tried a heating pad, except the whole terrarium gets really fogged up, as if all the water is evaporating. does this matter? will the heavy towel help this prob?

Use a low setting on the heating pad and the towel or a small blanket probably keeps it from getting too hot too fast. I'm not sure but try it this way and keep an eye on your temp. and see if you get better results.

make a small hole and fill it with polyfill near the bottom to help get rid of co2
