The medicine. For me right now it's Kratom, Phenibut and Cannabis. I use it for pain at the moment. Without it I'm pretty sure I'd be dead.

Phenibut is a Russian Pharm medicine. In the US it's virtually unknown to doctors. I have three on my issues and not one had heard of Kratom or Phenibut. Nor were they interested in hearing about them. How can I talk about treating my pain when they don't even know what works. The drugs they gave me, Gabapentin and Lyrica did zip on my intense pain. The Lyrica costs $500 per month. Phenibut costs about $10 and worked like it should cost $500. It's been a struggle to get my doctors to think outside of the box at all. The Naturopath has been the most willing. He's recognized my zeal for doing research and is willing to follow my lead on some things.
But back to Phenibut. Good for PSTD, Anxiety, general stress, Insomnia, depression and Neuropathic pain. Well the covers the gamut of my issues and the stuff works like kick ass on my pain and all the rest of that stuff. And it has almost none of the side effects of traditional pain/depression meds. The one side effect is addiction/tolerance. I'll deal with it.

well that's ironic because I think the belief in samsara, maya is toxic also and creates sickness in community. here is why:
These beliefs have an origin. They come from fear of nature, and have the idea that the body and nature somehow trap the 'spirit'. AND that in order to find release from this 'trap'/maya' one must workout one's 'karma'. The awful Indian caste system came about from these didgy ideas. So we had the Brahmins at the top and the 'sudra' or 'untouchables' at the bottom who literally shoveled the shit of their 'superiors'---the elite with the 'superior karma'. Asnd of course at the tope are the so-called gurus or holy men who C L A I M to have resolved their karmic degbt and out of the goodness of their hearts are trying to help others do same ahhhhhhh
ALL of that utter BS can be seen through with the original sactred medicine magic mushrooms and the other psychedelics. That they can do that is a HUGE reason why in Indian culture only the Brahmans were allowed access and secret knowledge of psychedelic mushrooms, cryptically referred to in Indian mythology, eg Siva and his 'blue colour' etc etc. And for everyone else msuhrooms are demonized and are taboo.
So 'illness' is adhering to rigid toxic beliefs that divide you from others, and nature, and your own sensual body and being, and magic mushrooms can help heal this harmful pattern. They help us laugh, sing, dance, and see through falseness, and feel the awesome wonders of nature, the body, all the mindblowing erotic aliveness of all reality, and realize that life and death are not opposed but a dynamic interwoven process which is nature which we are a part of. we ARE nature

That's not really ironic, that's just two people seeing things differently .... It would be a little more ironic if say he convinced his mom, who was totally otherwise fine, that she was in a state of samsara and to take the mushrooms for their curative properties, but then they drove her crazy and she jumped off a cliff.

I should've been clearer, i did not tell my mum that everyone in samsara is sick and needs psychedelic medicine!
It was more that me claiming they are medicinal and her questioning why i need mushrooms as medicine made me think about it for myself, she has a point, i don't have PTSD, cancer, cluster headaches, i don't smoke, i'm not in need of anything to help me have a mystical experience... or any of the other benefits i might've mentioned, why do i still take mushrooms that i see as medicinal?
It made me see samsara as suffering and psilocybin can be a medicine to help one wake up from it, so by that definition anyone here is ill in some way, i don't really go around seeing things like that but that's how it came to me at the time

I somewhat agree that seeing samsara as an illness to be gotten over and teachings about liberation from the rebirth cycle etc can be misleading for some people, for other not so, you seem a bit too sure its a BS theory, how are you so sure?
Talk to more old people, some want to come back and many say they do not, if mind takes form (look around) then it is totally possible
Reincarnation is not currently provable nor can you disprove it, the thing is even if it has an actual part in the universes functioning it's still not actually real, so you're right it is BS, but it is all BS

Dukkha is the problem. The Pāli word [dukkha] is often translated as suffering, but it means something deeper than pain and misery. It refers to a basic unsatisfactoriness running through our lives,

yeah man been using phenibut for years it's a staple.
tianeptine is great too, there's a thread going on here http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20361808/fpart/1/vc/1
strong quick acting anti-depressant without nasty side-effect, light opiate at higher doses, works like a charm for those morning when i don't want to get out of bed.. gives a potent kick start to the day. it's another one of those newer smart drugs like phenibut. nootropicsdepot has it for cheap.
50mg of tianeptine, 400mg phenibut, half gram of weed edibles and i'm floating on clouds.
just started on memantine yesterday too... another really interesting one, supposedly works wonders for slowing the thought process, adhd, mania, anxiety, etc.
don't think i'm going to need alcohol anymore.
