Growing wormwood
    #2090112 - 11/10/03 07:20 PM (13 years, 28 days ago)

My cat just got some seeds. They're a little smaller than he had expected. They about 1 grain of sand length high, 1 grain of sand length wide, and 4 grains of sand length deep. Does that sound about the right size? He's been looking on how to grow it. Anyone have any luck with seeds and have any advice on it?

It grows well in poor sandy soil with lots of sun.

The seeds can be sown in flats and watered with a mist system with the seeds just under the surface.

He already bought a bag of cactus soil for the seeds. So so he just sprinkle the seeds on the soil and then mist it, or should he try to germinate them and then put it on the soil?

I grew mine with just sprinkling the seeds on the free-put soil (the soil is loose and not hard) and after that hit lightly the pot some times to get them a little under the soil. Then mist the surface with spray.Mist whenever you see the surface is dry. Put in sunny location. I think they should sprout in 1-2 weeks. Good luck

your cactus soil mix depends on the company, sometimes it's not a sandy loam.
