Dream Thread
    #2089701 - 11/10/03 02:43 PM (16 years, 8 months ago)

Well, since they won't give us a Dream Forum.. I figured we might as well have a Dream Thread.
Use this to post your dreams.. lucid or regular.. nightmares.. astral projections.. or whatever.
Writing down your dreams greatly helps in remembering little details later on.. and if you get in the habit of writing them down, it becomes easier day to day to remember them after waking. Also, others may be able to provide insight into the meaning behind them by catching something you may have missed.
Write down whatever you can remember.. setting, people involved, theme of dream, events that happened, feelings felt, things seen, any bit of information you can remember no matter how small. I have found that just jotting down a few details of a dream, if I go back and read it later, I will remember more things that happened.

So I'm going to use this thread as a dream journal of sorts, and encourage others to do the same. We can analyze each others dreams, or just talk about them. Whatever the case may be, this will help to open us up to the workings of our subconscious, and get more in touch with our sleeping selves.

Well, I frequently dream that I end up gaining Superman's powers. This has happened several times now (unfortunately, the series has now ended playing in Norway, so it might fade away....).

The most memorable, and I think the first one, was what I believe to be a dream where I was somewhat lucid. I remember almost everything from that dream and the dream preceding it. Once I dreamt that I was Superman's kid and had just started getting the powers...

I haven't had a lot of experience with lucid dreams, although it is something I have been trying to have. I have only went somewhat lucid just a couple of times. It seems as though colours start to be recognizable when I do, and that I can start making choices in dreams more consciously. However, the thing is that when I wake up, it is really hard to tell if I just didn't dream that I had control or that I was lucid.

I think it just might feel like that because the dreams weren't all that lucid, as I seem to understand that there are different levels of.. lucidity.

My normal dreams are epic and have so many different levels of meaning to them. I consider myself to have a very creative imagination, and my dreams are almost cinematic.

But yeah, I'm going to sleep in just a little bit and I think I will go lucid (I always end up telling myself this. hehehe). Anyways, I'll be sure to post my dreams tomorrow.

By the way, this is an awesome idea for a thread (and a forum... ?sighs?).
Peace.

This thread will always be bumbed... Sweeeet! I got a dream i wrote down, we will spare last nights dream..  :shake: .

"here we go!"

So I just woke up, probably at about 7:35 on Monday November, 3 2003. Talking to will on the phone and seeing Stargate, I remember my dreams. I guess for a while I thought I was awake and watching TV, but not until I woke up did I realized what I had dreamed about. The voice was present again, but I could not tell if it was of female or male origin. All of a sudden I was shown a 6 sided shape form together around a central core. Two triangles, one of which had 3 spheres, bigger than all the rest, the next one had a smaller set of spheres. All of these triangles used their opposing force and created some sort of parallel vertical energy that came together to unite around the central core. This figure had formed the earth, it was the quentesential seed of the earth. Bands of energy had locked particles forming the earth. After that the earth spinned, and as the geometry would follow, the forces created by this massive original pairing caused the earth to build itself into a full sphere. A network was created with similar bonds around the outside of the earth. Computers flashed in my mind of the mathematics, although I have no conscious understanding of what was involved to create this. This image rolled through my mind. In the narration of my dream the stars from the show had lost this space craft in time. In order to bring the ship back they had to re create the earth, and bring the ship through a time portal on the earth. They learned how to make an earth by using what they had learned of the ?sacred geometry?, the weirdest thing of all was how that earth was made. One of the typical stars of the show had become impregnated? by what? Who knows. But she gave birth to a minature earth. It forced its way out and the whole sequence was replayed. In order to get the ship in the right dimension they had to calculate the time of the event, and the moment at which the ?star gate? would open up, and release an offset energy to trigger the portal and bring the ship back that was ?lost in time? into their world. The rest of the dream was marked with various creepy scenarios, one moment I was in hell observing billions of souls that looked like ants on top of eachother, and the looks as if someone could just ?pick them up and eat them?. If I had any understanding of the way the mathematics worked, or how to recall that information? I would be blown away. I don?t know how I saw those interlocking grids, but I understood the physics and math that went into creating the earth. It would seem that out of some sort of chaos their had existed a partner of forces, and through time they came together, and when they did they did not let go of one another, thus created the planet earth, which we now call ourselves a part of. Our whole history of human kind is but a blink of an eye in the schematics of planetary and cosmic evolution.

For the time being I will post a lucid dream I had last year, that has stuck with me very potently.

I 'awoken' in a strange dark town. I was already lucid.. there was a tall building with a spiral staircase going down about 25 stories.. I was at the top of the stairs and something was coming after me, so I started flying down them.. I was holding on to the middle pole and spinning around while going down.. my feet never touching the ground. When I reached the bottom I went into a room and there were three beings in there. I saw in my mind's eye..through the walls, a giant beamship approaching. Suddenly a dark figure came into the room and pulled out a laser gun of sorts. It shot the three other people in the room, and shot me, but it deflected and I was unnafected. Then I was transported outside, with a tall beuatiful female radiating a white light. Her name was Sasha, and she was my guide for this dream. She taught me to focus my energy to manipulate the external world, in the practice of telekenesis. In my first lesson, I was approached by a large group of malevolent people intent on hurting me. Using nothing but the mind's will, I neutralized all of them from attacking me, and they left. I passed that lesson, and we went to a sandwich shop.. in which I realized I had no money, and as soon as that thought came, a bunch of gold coins appeared under my feet. I picked them up and went into the store, where the owner handed me my favorite sandwich without even asking. There was much more that occured, but it becomes fuzzy from there.

I woke up, pondered on this for a while, and went back to sleep.. where I entered into the same lucid dream, right where I left off.
I was on a mission.. to infiltrate an enemy base and obtain information or neutralize them. I had the ability to fly, see through walls, climb on ceilings, become invisible.. etc. I snuck inside their facility, and was clinging to the ceiling in invisible mode listening to their plans. When they were finished I was leaving, but I became stuck inside the building. They were alerted to my presence, and began attacking. I was adept at avoiding their telekenetic strikes, and neutralizing them. Eventually I escaped without any harm and gaining new information.

Standard dream stuff for me. Though leaving out many details..

The only times I have gone lucid was when I had taken some xanax before I went to bed. I remember having a feeling of waking up, but i felt vibrations through my entire body and in my head there was wierd buzzinf noise kinda thing. I would go in and out of this a few times after the first one, but each ws short lived. I have never been able to go lucid any other time.

Last night I had a dream that I was driving through The interior of my province with my mom in her old faded toyota tercel hatchback, except that it looked more like Arizona with all these huge canyons and desert plants everywhere, my friends were following behind in a shiny red cadillac convertible.

My mom and I were fighting and yelling and I kept saying that I didn't want to fight, I wanted to take in the scenery and appreciate the beauty of everything around me. We pulled over and shortly my friends pulled up behind and they were all giggling, totally high on the scene around them. I was really happy to see them. One of my friends, this short hilarious guy names scott, was wearing a red and green jester hat with bells, for some reason this seemed significant.

I said "see this is why I love this province so much, we have a little bit of every ecosystem, even this..." which is true, I've said that before but we don't have anything like arizona:p

Then I woke up.

In quiet reflection about everybody I have interacted with, in the short time I have been on these boards, I find myself drawn to the prospect of sharing Supermarket's dreams. I hope she will share because I think that is one deep personality there.

zero 7a1 i don't have a clue what your dream could have ment, but it sounded really amazing and beautiful!

i woudl really like some thoughts on my dream. they are always really messed up, but i seem to remember them really well.
thanks

ok we (me and peopel that were my friedns) were in a gorchery store and this black cashere got fired for saying something silly on the intercom, then he came back into the store wearing this silly abe linkin mask, and the store manager was chasing him around, only he didn't know that 2 other employes put on the same mask, and they were all messing up the manager. this was all a diversion for someone to grab the 'black pearl' witch was a rear pomagranet seed, that had an embryo in side..human i think

then we left the grochery store and were walking down town, and there was this building that was too be blowen up, only there was this really rear goat inside, created for the chinese zodiak thing, and instead of just going up to get it (this building was 100 stories) they decided to just tie a rope around it's neck (how i'm not too sure) and pull it out of the 100th story window, so it would die, on this target they had set up.

we saw this and started yelling at everyone to stop and we tried to kill the evil girl who was goign to pull it out of the window, and she kept trying to shoot me with her hand gun, she did manage to get it out of the window, and it died. we were really sad, then the girl tried to come after us and he ended up shooting 2 of my friends, and then a little girl that was with us, but the little girl had this toy robot, and the robot somehow gave her live back, and then she could fly. so we went back to whear the 2 friends were shot, and we killed the girl by stabing her, and grabed our friends and dorve off in a purple van.

and i had another messed up dream after that somethig about these mean evile witch girls, and they had patty traped in some kind of dress..or somehting and we had to get her out, but first we had to learn how to move like a ghost, and go through walls and stuff..it was strange..

well thats all i remember about that

thank for reading

Couple nights ago I dreamt I escaped from some seiged city on a train, and made it to a free city. As I was walking with the girl I escaped with, on a sidewalk another girl jumped out the window of her apartment and died right in front of us. It was a girl I met recently, and she was pregnant.

We took her body back to her apartment and from there I proceeded to run an illegal poker casino.

Heres an LD I had last night, kind of funny..

[11-09-03]
I appear in a forest with 2 friends.. all of us are dressed in suits from the 1700's, with the white hair and outfit.. Something obviously isn't right here and I instantly become lucid. I had wanted to perfect my flying but there was no room in the forest.
I looked at my friends wearing those silly clothes and decided I should try creating something with my mind. I raise my hand toward the forest down a long path, and concentrate on making George Washington appear.. after only a few seconds I see a floating white object in the distance, and eventually George pops from behind a tree and walks down the path toward me. As he walks slowly down the path I rub my hands together and keep concentrating on him. When he finally gets close enough I realize its not truly washington, but instead Kevin Spacey dressed up AS Washington; I start laughing hysterically and am then awaken from the dream by a loud noise in my house.

That sounds funny! It could have been a funny thing to do with Abe Lincoln freeing the slaves...

A black pomagranet? Pomagrain seeds is what hades the lord of the underworld gave persephone in order to trick her and make her his bride... it was like a literal kind of seed that tied her to the underworld. Her mom (demeter) that had come to free her from hades sadly learned that she ate this seed and it became a whole tradition known as the grain harvest. demeter was the godess of fertility. She was so pissed that Zeus had arranged for Hades to take her that she stopped vegitation on the earth until Zeus had agreed to let persephone go. But because she ate the seed... she had to go back to the underworld each winter. I think thats all right  .

Half men half goats represent un restrained male sexual desire. Goats were also used as sacrificial animals as well...  the rest i could not really say for sure... sounds like maybe issues to deal with... like maybe issues of violence and other people i dont know. Usually when i have dreams i get vibes... and those are the hardest things to deal with... but they give rise to a more accurate interpretation if i follow the chain of thoughts stirred by the emotions.

I dont know if that helps at all, but maybe some information to help you think about your dream!

-----
Last night i had a dream about death... and people telling me about murders, and death was holding this weird looking knife and as these people started telling a story... i was put in the action of the story, and i travelled to some really weird ass places. I had the knife in my hand, i was travelling to this graveyard that said something about mushrooms, and another headstone that said planetarium on it. It was really creepy, and thats one thing i think im starting to understand about my dreams. Is that there are these "voices" these "thoughts" that are not wholly mine... and when these voices start to think for themselvse it starts to push me into other places, different "realities" modes of experience. AND like the dream i had posted before.. .It was one single woman or one mans voice. But sometimes i get this womans voice, it is such a soothing sound and she tells me about the earth, and about things changing.

To branch off of that... i was having this dream about my friend driving my car. (i read in a dream book once that when someone was driving your car it was like they were driving your life). So he asked me... he was like this is your car man, dont you want to drive? I was like, Yes, I do, and i started driving... and as i drove i drove into this water... my car slid and then the water merged... merged into a thousand pictures... then i got out cause i was like what the fuck is going on here... this is bullshit something else is controlling me here... So istarted walking straight... to where all tehse images were changing... and i bent my mind i guess and i got to this television like screen... and i heard all these voices saying... "hes FOUND US, hes FOUND US" and i was so pissed i stormed into that place.... about to slaughter all of them, but i just ran them out and destroyed their stupid little equipment. Then its like the tricks returned to me and someone was telling me to wait for someone with a message. And there was a girl who came up to me and started talking to me and telling me about the things i should be warey of and that i have something to do. So this voice tells me to wait behind this wall and wait for this guy with the message to come. So i wait and wait... and wait... and finally he comes, but it was a trap... my arms were shut and i was bolted to the ground in the formation of a cross. As i lay there i thought about what it meant to learn those "secrets" who trying to fill me with information that was only for ill intention and to rid me, as if i was a problem. Then the fire rose within me and i grew like a giant and ripped the metal bars that held me in the earth and i bashed the fucker who tricked me.. .and i stormed off into the city...

Here's one I had a while back. I very rarely remember my dreams, so the ones I do remember are quite clear.

I appeared standing in a crowd. It was a VERY large crowd as everyone on the planet was assembled together. A few hundred meters in front of me was a tall podium. A chubby, wrinkled old man in a judge's outfit was at the podium talking. I was too distracted to hear what he was saying, and I couldn't figure out exactly what was going on. I decided to play along anyway.

After a few minutes of speech, the Judge stood up very straight and said in a loud commanding voice "AND I CONDEMN YOU TO BE THE LAST PERSON ON EARTH!" and points towards me. Before I know what's happening, everyone around me promptly commits suicide and drops to the ground.

I stood, completely shocked, and stared at all the bodies around me. It was at this point that I woke up yelling.

Anyone have any ideas?

I've got some more to come...

OK here's another I think I'll share.

The dream started with me at my grandparents house. I was babysitting a little boy, whom I didn't know at all.

I was in the kitchen and I heard the kid let out a single moaning cry. Odd, I thought. Where is he? The noise had come from the direction of the laundry room, so I went in there. I looked around and very quickly noticed the kid's feet sticking out from behind the dryer. This didn't seem to alarm me at all. I started to move the dryer out to get the kid out, and my mom walked in behind me. She asked where the kid was and I said "Oh, he must've climbed behind here, I'm gonna get him now."

Then I turned my head to look at the floor behind the dryer. The kid was laying on the floor but his head had been severed clean off. I noticed the body first, my vision kind of panned up from the feet towards the neck. After I saw that the head was missing, I noticed it laying a few feet away.

Except the head wasn't the kid's, it was an alien's head. The large grey ones with big black eyes and no nose. I screamed in my dream and woke up.

I'm delighted to find a thread like this. Yes we sure needed one, this thread will get interesting I'm sure. I keep having these wonderfully, vivid dreams of flying over foreign lands high above tall buildings and communities. It's quite entertaining and nothing short of amazing but what troubles me is how I can create this imagery in my mind. I have never flown over tall buildings or communities and I have no idea what the tops of buildings would look like except from watching it on TV. The way it appears in my dreams is nothing like what you see on TV. It's very realistic and the buildings are foreign. Everything is in full color and I can even enjoy the sensation of the wind blowing and filling my clothing like a balloon. I'm sure I've never viewed any of these strange buildings or communities, in any movie before. I am always very excited when flying and never scared.

Another type of dream that reoccurs often for me are dark dreams. Like scorpions, snakes and spiders. Although I know society is responsible for my views on these creatures, I also sense a darkness that radiates all around them. You know that sense that we have that tells us when something is evil or wrong, well that's what I get in these dreams towards these creatures. Recently the scorpion bit me and I almost died. Other dreams spiders or snakes have bit me but I never died. I believe if I had died in a dream that something would occur in my waking life. Does anyone else constantly dream of these creatures? I hardly ever see them on TV or even think about them. Could this be some sort of inner alarm system? Signs of Bad things to come? I sure hope not.

I have all kinds of wild, vivid dreams but none are as alarming as the dark ones. They are utterly eerie throughout but somehow I believe they are important to my mind to produce and they will not be silenced.

I love lucid dreaming. I've been able to go lucid ever since I was a kid. It's mostly flying stuff - I'll be in some sort of danger or panic for some reason and I'll be able to take off...

I had this one dream where there were these Inner-city castles, somewhat gangs of new yorkish but with kings and queens and shit. There was this gang of people coming to attack our castle and at first I was fighting them off, but then this guy with a 10 foot saw steps out of the crowd and starts hacking at me with it, so I started to run. He starting chasing me, pretty fast, when my feet left the ground, but it wasn't quite fast enough. Being it a medeival setting, I thought about druidic shamans and without doubt I turned myself into a bird and flew to safety.. it was one of the coolest dreams I remember.

If you really want to lucid dream, try taking Nicoderm while sleeping. The vividness is increase making dreaming almost unsettling. After a few nightmares, I was reminded of what waking up scared in the middle of the night was, fully realising it just being a dream, but some sort of physical shock - nothing serious, just a weird feeling.

Does anybody have psychic dreams, not precognitive where you dream of a day and it happens just as you dreamed it, but where certain elements of your dreams end up coming true somehow in real life. Before the past six months I only had maybe two in my life, at least that I could remember. Now I'm having about 1-2 a month.

Here are just a couple recent ones for example. I had one in which I was having phone trouble. Then the next day I woke up and my phone was dead for three days. I had one that my friend's roommate was jumped and beat up. Then I found out his old roommate was jumped, beat up and in the hospital. I know skeptics would say I picked those things up subconsciously, but I thought it over many times, and there is no way I could have encountered anything that my subconscious mind may have picked up to predict those things.

My dreams are always full of extremely random occurrences (though grounded in everyday events), of which I have no control- I?m kind of like a hollow vessel just experiencing the events with detachment, even with emotions, I don?t really feel them as if I?m living them. I guess that sounds kind of convoluted, but that is the only way I can describe them. My subconscious completely takes over and plays out these weird scenarios. I am thinking maybe our subconscious holds parts of our futures too, and that is why some of these future events are being incorporated into my dreams. Has anybody ever heard of anything like that?

The spiders and creepy creatures could represent an inner fear you have and hold on to.

I stood, completely shocked, and stared at all the bodies around me. It was at this point that I woke up yelling.

Anyone have any ideas?

I've got one.. it could mean a couple things.. though I'm not sure. Maybe it was your subconscious' way of telling you to gain a new perspective of sorts.. perhaps it was you feeling alone and isolated.. I don't know man..that's a tough one to interpret. It helps to look at the things that were occuring in your life at the time of the dream.

I've had several of these that I can remember. The first major one was when I was 6 or 7. I had a dream that I was with this one cousin of mine (who I was very close with), we were walking in the woods and all of a sudden a bunch of ninjas jumped out of the trees and started shooting at us. One of them hit her in the left arm and she went down. I ran out of the woods and into a plain where I was chased by a faceless monster to the edge of a cliff where I woke up.
Two weeks later, in real life.. the same cousin from that dream was having a soccer game. I was there watching, when someone tripped her and she went down hard on her left arm, and it was broken at the exact spot I saw her shot in my dream.

I have had many dreams of detailed conversations, situations, etc.. that happen in real life later on, exactly as they did in the dream.

The subconscious contains all our memories and experiences, and is the dream controller. When you have issues going on in real life, the subconscious will often use dreams as a method of dealing with them/working/figuring them out, and will often appear to you as a very abstract and random series of images and situations. The key is to analyze them from an objective perspective, and not take things so literally. The subconscious will often use images, symbols, etc..to represent certain things that you repress, or are unsure about/fear. It does indeed hold parts of the future, as your thoughts create your reality.. and the subconscious is the center of our thoughts.

Not to my knowledge, I know little to nothing of Jung and his archetypes. From what I have read, I agree with some of his conceptions of the dream state, but not all.

Plato said that none of us learn anything, we already know everything that anyone has ever known and we are only reminded of things by teachers and things we read. Jung called it the collective unconscious. But, as far as the archetypes go dreams are more about symbols and seeing people, places, and things for how they relate to your life. Your unconscious is infinitely more intelligent then you when your awake, it's just a way to listen to what it's telling you.

Dead dreams: 1-2 nights ago

I remember running down this dirt road that accompanied these hills in mountains that i dont know of... So i was running down, and there were these holes in the road with all these dead trees. I started throwing fire inside all of the pits catching the dead trees on fires everywhere... then i ended up in another valley that was raining, there was mud everywhere, and i got this sick feeling in my stomach. I stayed next to the hill cause thats where the harder ground layed. And i passed this construction worker who was working on the road, but his feet were halfway in the mud... and i noticed i could go down this road no further, im guessing i was runnign from the fires i started, but the rain thing made it all unequal, and i asked him... how can i get back? Which places are solid? That ground doesnt look to good. He replied... stay to the right on your way back... and follow this mud.. and he pointed to where i was standing. He then said, dont step there though, thats verrry muddy, i died there once.

and so today i was looking at cnn.com and i saw an article about this construction worker who had been killed a day ago in the rains that had swept through the area, he had been working underneath a road in west virginia. The waters had risen and caused his death. I think it was that rainstorm that hit my hometown... and i remember letting so much stuff go as i was rained on when i left school on monday, it was only sprinkling as soon as i stepped out... it started pouring.

I just thought it was strange... it gave me those vibes i get when i encounter death in my dreams,im almost always conversing with strange things and people... zombies... me dont know

i had a dream and it was so vivid
I wrote it down as soon as i woke up and now I'm copying it here, and adding a couple of things

i felt myself being thrusted into a black screen, but if I looked at the screen long enough, visuals started to come in.  and this was the weird thing, the screen wasn't 3d as I wasn't 3d, like everything was just one big screen, and I was kinda thrusted into what was happening on it.

while I was being thrusted as such, I heard a really loud hissing sound. it was deafening acutally. and the other thing is I felt disoriented.  lke I was spinning, but my view was such that it told me I wasn't, but I felt that way.

once I got through the picture, I was in a room, all white, I couldn't see the end of anything.  was it even a room?  like I wasn't even standing on anything, I was just there. nothing else.  I was like wtf?  and then I woke up.

--------------------
Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.---senior doobie

Shit, I used to really focus on exploring dreaming, specificly lucid, but as of lately i'v just been letting shit flow not trying to manipulate or even rember them much.
Mabey i'm just lazy, but i had a dream sometime back:
I used to always watch 3rd rock from the sun before bed and frequently the charachters were incorporated into my dreams. One night i think it was after i watched the dream oriented episode were they dream for the first time and think they are going crazy.
anyway the show started off and tommy introduced the family to marijuana. They soon had they'r whole house filled with bud plants wall to wall. but at the end of the episode they all died. At the end they were sitting on they'r roof, smoking contemplativly out of phat heady bongs and sherlocks. Wondering why they'r crop had failed. And dick gave some crazy complicated explanation about cross pollinating and clones and shit that i didn't understand

I had a dream that I was living in this apartment building, and there was this lush meadow between my building and another one of the same design. I was hanging laundry and I didn't have enough room so I went to the other apartment building and started hanging it on wires along the front of the building. I walked along, hanging, then looked into someone's apartment and noticed a woman standing at the sliding glass door naked. She was young, black, and it occured to me that her name was Eve. I asked Eve why she was naked and she said "I am woman." I was really suprised by the response but it made me really happy. I smiled, and turned back across the meadow with my empty laundry basket. On the way back I interacted with the plant and animal life more directly than I had on the way there.

Yeah, characters of shows I watch end up showing up in my dreams... it takes forever for my dreams to adjust to where I am at in my life, but yet television shows always end up in them right away... it scares me somewhat. Superman, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Friends, even The Simpsons occasionally (doesn't really translate into dreams well, of course...)... all sorts of crazy shit.

I had a really insane dream that I repressed and just remembered the other day.. It scares the hell out of me, because the image was really strong..: I was in the kitchen, and the cutting board was pulled out.. it was me standing next to it. However, there was a frozen and completely blue baby on the board, and it was also understood that it was ME as well.. I don't know how it ended up like that or what happened afterwards, but the image is there and I feel sick to my stomach just thinking about it... I am really interested in knowing what it means, but I tend to not think about it much... *shudders*

Last night was yet another dream involving all sorts of fucking people from school.. once again I woke up thinking I was in Wisconsin and shit... :frown: School is going to haunt me for the rest of my days, apparently.
Peace.

i have lots of dreams which continue of long periods of time. i don't know what they mean.

one in particular i've had about 4-5 times, and every time i'll try and reach the "end" of the dream by doing something differnt.

these dreams always eventually become lucid. what does it mean when you have consistent lucid dreams that continue? they're usually random, full of poeple i don't know and wierd situations that don't appear to mean anything.

My favorite dream was back when I was probably around 11 or 12 years old:

My dad and I are walking into the local ice-cream shop... We enter and suddenly the whole place turns into ice-cream!!! The walls started dripping and leaning over, the ceiling was sagging down fast.. ICE CREAM!! EVERYWHERE! even the floor was ice-cream and it was hard to move quickly - but I had to act fast; after all, I didn't want to drown in ice-cream! So I dove through the thin wall of ice-cream that had previously been the large window near the enterance to the ice-cream place. I landed on concrete outside, dazed momentarily, and stood up. There was glass all over the ground outside and no ice-cream anywhere to be found except inside where it belongs. I'd just jumped through the window of the ice-cream place, and my dad was PISSED. He yelled "What are you DOING?!" as if I were completely insane (hmm..) and I woke up

Well I had another strange dream last night...but then again all my dreams are very strange so that's expected :smirk:

First I'd like to note something: my dreams always seem to be very unconnected. Things just "happen" without any apparent meaning or connection to what was just happening in the dream. I've talked to people who seem to have rather coherent dreams...and mine seem nothing at all like theirs. I've often wondered if it's just a facet of my personality.

My dreams are generally very calm. I just sort of wander around aimlessly running into people and situations one at a time.

Anyway, for your enjoyment, my dream of last night:

It started back at my old place, in Windsor. I was waiting out back for my "new" car to arrive (in waking life, I neither have a car or a licence). My friend (whom I don't seem to know in waking life) arrived with the car. It looked like it was in pretty bad shape...but he assured me it wasn't so bad and all we had to fix was the turbo on it. Turns out there was a "leak in the turbo assembly" that was "letting compressed air get out" (as he explained it to me). We popped the hood and took a look at the turbo assembly - it looked normal to me in the dream and I immediately saw where the problem was, but it really didn't look at all like what I know a turbo really looks like nor was the problem something I imagine would be a problem with a real turbo. He handed me a tube of some clear silicone-like sealant to use to patch it up. I noticed that it was flamable and worried about it getting too hot under the hood...but thought it should be fine anyway. We get everything put back together and start it up. The engine runs like shit...but I'm happy just to have a car to drive. So off I go.

Now I'm at a place I've never seen before, pulling into the parking lot. The place seems familiar in the dream. There are friends I recognize out front (though none of whom live in Windsor) and I know I'm meeting more of them inside the building (which appears rather Victorian to me). It takes me a while to get parked, as I'm not used to knowing where I'm "supposed" to park. Several times friends come up to the car window and say "you can't park here man...this spot is reserved. try over there" or something similar. I end up having to park quite far away from the building.

I get out of the car and start riding a bycicle towards the building, down a long sidewalk. On the way, I keep passing friends who ask me how long I think it will take. I don't know.

The dream shifts, and I'm back in my driveway working on the car again. This time I have it running while I look under the hood. There is a large cap on the side of the engine, and when I take it off I can look down in the crank case (silly, I know). The oil looks lumpy and much too black - it needs changing. I'm worried about how much oil it will take to replace it all, as I don't have a lot of cash left. My "friend" appears again (again, whom I don't know in waking) and tells me it will only take a quart or so. I grab some from the corner store and pour it in the crank case. The engine instantly starts running better, though it's obvious that there's a lot more that can be done.

At this point I either woke up, the dream ended, or I just can't remember the rest.

Ok, here's another dream. Just had it last night.

It was halloween, I think. I was in what looked like a corner store, and one of my ex-gf's was there talking to me. A few of her friends (none of whom I have ever seen in waking life) were there. One of them was looking through a pile of various black latex clothing (the "kinky" type) and was trying to explain to me the merits of sex with latex. I wasn't convinced. Eventually she ran off with her pile of latex, and I was left alone in the store with another girl I didn't recognize but who I knew was one of my ex's friends. She suggested we go visit a friend of her's that lives in the US.

Now I'm with her in a house, and there's this weird dude there too. It's his house, and he is her friend that she wanted to go see. She said something about having to leave, and did so, leaving me alone with the weird dude. He immediately starts talking about weed. For the rest of the dream, he always spoke (no matter what he was talking about) in strange metaphors. He starts talking about growing weed, and I listen intently (despite knowing how anyway). It had been night and dark back in the store, but it was very bright and sunny here (despite being inside the house).

He takes me on an endless tour of his run-down house, showing me all his gadgets that he has built for growing bud. Eventually we go out in the back yard. There is a very old wooden shed - must have been almost two hundred years old. He starts talking about how good it would do as a grow shed. I disagree, but say nothing. Next he shows me his real grow shed. It consits of nothing more than a wood frame wrapped in mylar. Very easy to spot, and very obvious. He takes me inside nervously and starts asking me if I think he should harvest now, or in two weeks. I tell him he should get the plants out of there cause the cops will know what the place is as soon as they see it. I tell him we shouldn't be in there, cause I can't get caught by the cops in another country. We go inside and smoke a joint, then the guy says (again in metaphore) that we should go over to his friend's place. I agree nervously - I'm really scared about getting caught at this point.

Next we are walking down the sidewalk. There's a couple of cops standing up ahead, talking to a group of people. We walk by them no problem, but I notice that they stare after us as we walk away. No we are walking up a steep hill from the street to the front of his friend's house. We get almost to the top when the two cops appear out of nowhere and tell us to stop. "Where do you think you're going?" is what they ask. I tell them I'm not sure, I'm just following the weird dude (not those words exactly). The one cop grabs my arm and starts spraying some clear watery substance on it. When it hits my fingers, it turns into a rainbow of colours. He immediately says "aha! weed residue!". As he is doing this, the other cop is shooting his gun off randomly into the distance. I get the picture that these cops are dirty, they want to frame us for something. I start to protest, saying I'm not even American so they can't arrest me. They laugh, then both go inside the house we were going to. I hear several gunshots, then they come out wiping their guns - they just shot everyone in the house. "Well that's taken care of" they say to me.

At this point the dream ended with movie credits scrolling up past my vision. The thought "oh, it was a movie" goes through my head and I wake up quite startled.

Your dreams are a lot like mine, plain fucking insane. Mine seem devoid of real meaning and there is just too much happening in my dreams to ever be able to really clue into what is going on. The cast of characters is always fucking endless.. There has been hundreds of recognizable people in one spot before... from both schools I have went to and shit.

From what I can vaugely remember about a dream of last night, I was in Las Vegas. *shrugs* It was insane...  :nut:

Here is a dream I had recently about my girlfriend who just became my ex-girlfriend.

A little bg info: She had a 16 month old son by another guy, Jack. I found myself fairly jealous of this Jack. He even tried to break us up by asking her to come back to him. She constantly assured me I had nothing to worry about, but I did.

So I was going to sleep the other night, a little depressed thinking about the break up. I asked the Ultimate power, whatever it is, to give me a sign or something, then I fell asleep.

I dreamed while I was sleeping that I was talking to my ex. I asked her if she wanted to sleep with someone else, and she said yes. I asked her who, and there was a silence. I asked her once more and she said... JACK.

What a tough feeling that was.

So, what's my dream mean?

Maybe its relevant, maybe its not. If it is any clue, maybe somehow on the subconcious level you know she wants to be back with him.

After all she does have a kid from him.

Or you fears came out in your dream, and thats why you dreamt about it.

Have you thought about asking her if she slept with him?

She assures me that she hasn't cheated on me. I just have this nagging feeling though, but I am terribly insecure sometimes.

Her ex, being her first child's father, was continually around. Maybe not physically, but he'd be around a couple times a week when she would drop the baby off at his grandmother's house. I should ask her..

well...
as i was sleeping, i had a crazy dream
i woke up crying
i hardly ever do that
but in my dream, i died
as i exhaled that final time...
i felt my "essence" leave

and i was still me, but not like it is now... you know?
so i was tugged... and i cant explain how...
imagine having a hook inside your belly, and someone giving a line on the other end a long, hard tug
thats the closest i can come to describing it...
and i was brought into a light
very bright....
but no one was there to meet me
like i fully expected by then,
i was semi-awake...
i remember screaming...
very loudly
and feeling completely enclosed
like i was in a very tiny room
and screaming for what seemed like ages, but no one came....
there was no sign that anyone was even around
at that point, i woke up with tears streaming down my face
what does it all mean?

:crying:

i had a dream last week thats been bugging me ever since. her goes...

Ok first of all the whole dream had this very bizarre surealistic feel to it. I can't really describe it any better than just saying it was alot like the video from the movie "the ring" You know it had that dark errie sort of vibe going on..almost everything was grey in the dream with some traces of brown and black. Everything looked like it was an from an old timey play or something and it kind of reminded me of a very dark demented puppet show...and there was never any sound/dialogue at all. It was basically very creepy.

Ok so i was looking out over this vast gray sea and it had very turbulent waves carrying this "puppet ship" it was a brownish ship that looked like it was made out of baskets for a fancy puppet show or something. So that's how the dream starts then i'm on the ship and it's more real looking but all the wood is very fury looking. This dream was very movie-like in the way that there were only three view points in the entire dream and each one was stationary. So i'm on the ship and there are two coffins on either side with a man in each one, and they are like identical twins. They both are older men and have beards and old west style black suits with big black hats. One of them had a white collar(sort of like a priests) and the other had a red collar and a red sash. The interesting thing about this "scene" is that during the entire dream these two men are the only things that actually look real..although their faces are in black and white. Ok so anyway the aren't dead they get up at precisly the same time and step out of the coffins and they satnd there and stare at me for at least a few seconds. Let me stress how much this creeped me out...they looked at me with a sort of demented satisfaction that i read in their eyes and plain exspressionless faces...Their stares made my skin crawl. Then they turnes around and disapeared into two doors on either side of the ship. *it popped into my head a few days later that these mens hats which seemed so strange before might have been the hats of old western style coffin makers*

Next i'm looking at this very fake looking hill which sort of looked like a model of some kind..again it had that puppet show feel. and there was a man on a cross on the top of the hill. his face was a blur, and thats the predominate detail i remember. Anyways..i was seeing this scene and then the cross just falls straight foward onto the ground.

That was the end of the dream. It was very creepy and it filled me with a fear of death that i couldn't control. It seemd like a premonition if not for my own death then for someone elses.

Any input of this dream would be grealty appreciated.

I wrote this the next day...sort of like a journal entry/poem

A grainy scene on a worn out model ship
Two coffins lay on the deck
Playwood thin, and black
Two men in black wearing scarfs
One wears white, one red
Identical faces

Unified, they ressurect themselves
Playwood coffins crumble to dust
The look from them pierces my mind, they walk away
A grimy nostalgic puppet show crucifiction
It falls as soon as it is seen by me
Face down in the dirt

I would like you share a dream with you all.....

All I can remember of it is what I wrote down when I woke up, I was sitting on the edge of my bed with my friend Gaby, looking out my bedroom window. Except there was no wall, just a window in the middle of the sky, and on the other side was the earth. I had a feeling like my bed was on the edge of a cliff but I couldn?t seem to look over the edge to find out. I do remember that the earth was massive, filling almost all of the sky and the colors where so saturated they looked as if they where florescent. When I woke up I had the most amazing feeling I have ever had, it was like I had become a new person. Almost reborn.

jonny your dream intrigues me and confuses me. They say that the best dream interpretor is yourself, as you can relate dream experiences to things that may be going on in your life. But sometimes other people can provide insight into aspects of things that we may not have thought of.

I had a fascinating dream. I think I understand it but I just want to share.

I was star gazing and it was very cold. As I was scanning the sky, I noticed that the sun was out. Only it was huge. It looked about 10 times bigger than normal and it's heat waves were distorting the night sky. I looked up and there was this woman. I asked her why the sun was out at night and she said "This is your world. Everybody has their own world independent of one another."

I woke up around this time and pondered this profound truth.

BTW, studies I have read say that almost nobody dreams in color, yet I know that I do, and every one else I ask swear that they do. What is your take on this.

dreamt of eating shrooms
kind of a big outdoor party, saw people there i haven't seen for 20 years, they were throwing waterbombs.
a yellowbird flew out of the chimney of a nearby house.
it was on fire.
it flew a circuit then landed near me. the flames were almost invisible, like a blue energy field.
i grabbed the bird, it was like a big, yellow seagull
and smothered the flames.
i could feel the fire enter me.
it wasn't a physical fire.

My dream... HELP ME! [Re: Shroomism]
    #2362848 - 02/21/04 07:09 AM (16 years, 5 months ago)

ok... Many of you may of read my post of how I cant recal dreaming, and I went to GNC bought the Gaba took some last night and had a very vidid, very strange dream.

I can only remember part of the end... I have for some reason transfered to a catholic school (Im back in HS) the school building is really small looking, but when I got inside to get up to the principals office I had to go into an elvator (the door shocks you if you try and touch it while its closed) and on the way up ( GOING REALLY FAST ABOUT 100 FLOORS!) I am talking to this woman, and for some reason she asks me if she could be my mentor, and I refuse her, because I already have the principal set up to be my mentor (I have no idea when that happened) so I get into the principals office (Im not using any names because they are people I actually know) and start to talk to him... then I get woken up by my dogs and the dream ends...

Journal entry #1

Thank you to all who share their time with me in reading the following. I would love to hear interpretations and questions.

ever since childhood ive been fascinated with dreaming. I had hundreds of vivid and bizarre dreams from the ages of 5-18. Most of them were violent in nature and often times horrifying. one particular dream i was shot in the face by a shot gun from no more than ten feet away. There was no pain but I knew I was dead. My body just slumped and slowy my vision faded to black. It had been the first dream in which I actually experienced death. I had many more dreams in which I died or watched myself die. one that stays fresh in my mind was strikingly odd. It started out rather normal with myself and good friend andy chillin at my parents house under the front car port. Everything was fine until we looked to our left an saw (no shit) a fucking GIGANTIC, 4000 ft. tall, wall of fireball/flames/debrit barreling at us at around 800 mph. We became immediately panicked and ran over behind my moms car to try and get shelter. (ha ha ya right) we knew we were about to die. We said things to each other in that minute before death that touched me forever. A few seconds before the impact my soul separated from my body. I witnessed my death from 15 feet above the ground in the form of the spirit. I woke up in a frenzy. I literally didnt know what to think. It was Like I was shocked to be living. I stayed melancholy for days after the experience. things went on like this for quite a while. Then at the age of 19 I started practicing lucid dreaming. One of my first lucids started out in a grocery store. I was going throuh the check out when I decided to steal some candy. This is something i would normally never do so I immediately knew I was dreaming. I turned to my friend and told him I was dreaming and he just stared at me with a curious blankness. I decided to try flying. It came remarkebly natural and soon I was willing myself about through the store. Every few second I would look down at my hands as it seemed to help me maintain lucidness. I flew right up to peoples faces and inspected their features. The faces were random, emotionless. The i decided to leave. I flew right through one of the large ,glass windows fronting the store. I went up and up and up at a staggering velocity until I was viewing earth from outer space. It was one of the most beautiful things ive ever seen. I felt so free and happy that when I woke up I kind of felt dissappointed to be back in this reality. As time went on I started devoting more and more time to lucid dreaming and eventually was having them every night. Each passing dream my control got better and better. One dream started out with me driving down the road in my old pickup truck. A police car pulls me over and at the moment im freaking out because i dont know im dreaming. Then in a flash i realize im sitting in the truck i just sold and become lucid. The cop is standing outside my door by this time. I then fly through the window of the truck and stand 5 feet in front of the cop. I inspect him and notice every detail. He just stares back at me in disbelief. I use telekinesis to make his belt, which is holstering his gun ,etc. drop to the ground. I then noticed some people wandering about in a field concealed by bushes and towering eucalyptus trees. I bounded 70-80 feet in the air and gently set myself down in their pressence. One of them was a beautiful woman and the other two were middle aged men. I felt threatened by the men so I used telekineses again. This time it was more powerful, and with the wave of my hand the men went flying through the air. shortly afterwards i woke up. Thats all for now. More mayhem to come.

My dreams the last 2 night have been weird, but one thing stuck out. BOTH night I came across patches of aminita muscaria mushrooms, I felt drawn to them and they stuck out , weird thing is, they looked different in my 2 different dreams, but they registered undoubtedtly as amanitas... I havent been thinking alot lately about mushroom hunting in general, and amanitas never crossed my mind alot even last years hunting season. Anyone see any kind of connection? Maybe the shroom gods are tellin me to try amanitas? maybe I will find some this year? maybe its just random brain function sorting my thoughts? I dunno.

Hehe, sounds like you have an interesting dream life. Mine are interesting enough but I never really go lucid... it sucks! hehe

I gotta really push to become lucid, there is a lot I want to do.

Hehe, your huge fireball coming down reminds me of a time where fire reigned down from the sky and people were dying left and right.
Peace.

In regards to Postanaldrip's dream... I usually have pretty wild dreams that can be lucid, scary, or happy etc... but yah I recently had the first dream where I actually died, and I didnt realize I was dreaming either..so it was like, holyshit I just died and Im accepting it. I dont really remember the dream well but I do remember the end. I was in a church and someone pulled out a handgun and started shooting and I got nailed in the head. I felt the force of it hit my head and then i just fell to the ground..no pain ofcourse though. I could feel the blood rushing out of my head too.. and the same thing happened to me..my vision faded until everything was black. I woke up just thinking wow, im glad that was a dream!

This dream happened in the middle of the day when I had layed down for a nap. It started with myself and a few friends/family members gathered in an unfamiliar room. It seemed to be a young boys bedroom from what I can remember. the mood was happy and playful, with everyone laughing and talking. Then something happened and everybodys mood changed drastically. It was as if they all had just found out the world was ending. Everybody rushed out of the room except for me. I was just standing in the middle of the room gazing out the window. Next, a translucent, blue, orb of some sorts came right out of the sky, and flew down through the window into the room. i sensed the object was some sort of bieng or craft. It had a diameter of about 8-10 feet and was multifaceted like a ten sided dice only it had like 40-50 facets instead of ten. Then, suddenly, I was no longer in the room, but within the orb in the middle of outer space. I was in a very curious space. I knew i was inside the orb but it was larger now than before. I was viewing a bunch of blank, plasma, computer screens, and at the same time I was hearing a conversation between the orb and another bieng. It was in english so I could understand, but I never could remember what was said. the orb seemed to be communicating through the computer system i was viewing. The voice sounded all metallic and electronically created. The other voice however sounded very human. it was wierd as fuck. Next, the orb showed me a vison of the earth (from space). A separation began to take place between mother earth and her soul. I knew this represented humanities selfishness and how negatively it affects the earth. I watched the separation from start to finish and at the end when the separation was complete ,the earth disentergrated in a catastrophic explosion. Next, a word made of gold block letters flew out of nowhere and right up in my view. It was like 12 letters long said something like "ogypogopolygon". I knew it was the name of the orb. Then, as suddenly as it started, the vision stopped. I was floating back down to earth with a few others that had been selected to be taken by the orb.

entry 3

this dream starts out with myself aimlessly trudging through thick jungle. It is getting dark and eventually i come to a clearing. In the clearing I immediately notice a shiny, silver pod sitting on the ground. It looks very futuristic and is large enough to fit 4 people comfortably. It has a door but it is sealed up tight. Just to the left of the door is a pole or stand that is holding half of a globe. I get the sense that the other half of the globe is a key to making something happen. Suddenly, the doorway opens up and i peer inside. The pod contains about triple the space It should and is pitch black. I am just standing there dunmfounded and a little scared when i see a metallic, globe half roll out of the darkness up to my feet. I bend down to pick it up when I feel a presence in the pod. The being appeared to me as female, and I knew I had know her before. I got an overflowing of love and happiness from her. It was a pure, beautiful feeling, unlike anything else ive ever felt. I sensed she wanted me to make the orb complete so I put the two halfs together. I was then transported out of the jungle into my old bedroom at my moms house. I am laying on the bed and petting my cat. The female presence was now in the form of the cat and as long as I am touching her, we are one. She communicated many things to me telepathically including that I had a previous life with her on another planet where we lived on a tomato farm and were very happy. She even told me the name of the planet which I dont rtemember. Then some other demonic being entered the cat and forced out the female. My cat began attacking me and I was hearing a metallic computerized shrieking coming from the new, very much evil being. This scared me pissless so I woke up and that was it.

Hey Anal, just a suggestion: Paragraphs = key, so much more easier to read stuff, even if you just break it at random places.

I think shrooomery should have a dream forum that'd be awesome.

I've had the same dream about 10 times in the last 2 months. It always starts off the same, but for the first 6 times it was like this:

I wake up, I try to move but I am paralyzed. The room is dim. I am able to open my eyes and i try to move my arm but all i see it do is twitch. I remain this way for what seems to be about 1/2 an hour each time this occurs. Then I wake up for real. (I concluded that this must be me entering a state of lucidity in my dream, but not knowing how to harness it)

Then the next three times i had this dream it progressed a little further:

I wake up and I try to move, with a little struggle I am eventually able to sit up. The room is dim and I attempt to turn on my lights (i have a lamp next to my bed). The switch has no effect upon the light. I realize that I am dreaming and then I wake up.

The last time I got even further than before!:

I wake up, I struggle and then arise. I try to hit my lightswitch and i flicked it three times but nothing happened (but there was a tiny circle that started to glow orange on the actual switch) I get up and decided I wanted to leave my room to go watch TV. I walk towards my door but on the way I realized I was dreaming, but this time it doesnt stop me. I get to my door and look at myself in the mirror and i looked like me, fully clothed. I look closely at my pupils and eyes. I do math in my head, and get the correct answers. I decide it is time to do something and I consider opening the door and leaving my room, but it would be so much easier to just walk through the door, so I do. As I am walking through the door I close my eyes and get sucked back into a non lucid state. Then I wake up.

I know its a pretty short dream with little content, but
Anyone wanna interpret?

Unrequited

A Dream I had

I recently had a very long dream, like being in an epic-length movie.  It was awesome!  It involves a girl that I have known for only a month, which is strange.  Here it is:

I'm with Cassandra, and we really like each other, but not dating (big age difference).  Although she has longer hair than in real life, but she is still alot younger than me.  We are in this giant city, and we go to the "run down" section of it.  Homeless, destitute people everywhere.  Right in the middle is this huge complex, and it is run by a drug lord.

There is a special party there.  Thousands of people are partying/living together.  Cassandra and I walk around the party having fun, encountering all kinds of things. Two beefy gay guys give me a wink.

Cass is more into girls than guys so she is chasing after girls while I wander around.  I find a hot girl and take her to the shower party room.  I am dirty dancing in the shower with her and some hot chicks, we can climb on top and get muddy, then go back down into the water and clean off.  There is sexy techno music playing.

After the shower the gay guys are constantly trying to come after me (grabbing my ass, dancing behind me).  I have to push them away and run away, laughing.

I find Cass and wander into a gym with insane karate guys and some wierd form of squash, then into a "daycare" room with a strange sex circle with teenagers sitting around fucking each other in plush animal costumes.  A handful of people are just standing around watching.  "YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE" screams a girl in a pink bunny suit.  "YOU CAME TOO EARLY" and she hits a boy in the white bunny suit with his dick hanging out.  I'm like "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SICK SHIT" and leave. Cass wants to stay so I leave her.

I wander into a warehouse full of stolen goods, every DVD, almost all toys imaginable.  Tons of people are just wandering around looking at stuff and trying it out, like an underground Toys R Us.  I play with remote control cars and discuss the pros and cons of cars made in China.

The gay guys find me and chase me into the shower, I tell them I have a girlfriend (a lie) but they wont leave me alone.  I climb on top and escape. They start getting brutal and I think they are gonna rape me.  Then I run into Cassandra and she says "Im his girlfriend" and the gay guys get sad and leave me alone.  At this point im like "Cool, she said that" and I had an overwhelming feeling of love.  :heartpump:

The cops come to bust the party up.  I get paranoid and ask Cass to leave, but she doesnt want to leave, even though the cops have come.  She is high on drugs and liking some girl there too much.  Word spreads that the cops found the drug lords and arrested them all.

I go outside and into the "backyard".  Turns out the real drug lord is sitting in a car surrounded by his best friends, smoking fat J's.  :stoned: He is wearing sunglasses  sitting in the drivers seat, ready to leave, but is saying his goodbyes.  He is grinning from ear to ear.  I tell him "I want you to remember something: man=ape+mushroom".  Everyone starts laughing.  He says "Yeah, I know that".  I said "How, I made it up and havent told anyone".  "The guy who made that is dead, isnt he?"  His friend says "Yeah."  I smile and chuckle to myself knowing they are talking about Terrence McKenna.  :mushroom2:

He says "You better leave. I'm leaving a little present for the cops."  He drives away.  The entire complex begins exploding.  Huge towers and houses blow up.  I'm running searching for Cassandra, but I dont find her.  Debris and columns of cement are crashing all around me.  The complex is imploding and it is too dangerous so I run outside.  I look back and see Cass in the middle just as everything caves in.  :crying: :gd_icon:

I had my first deliberate lucid dream last night. I had gone to some lucid dream FAQ website someone suggested earlier. For a couple weeks I've been doing that thing where while you are awake you keep doing reality checks. I set my watch to beep on the hour and every time it does that I say to myself 'is this reality?' and then i say to myself 'yeah of course it is dumbass.'
So in the dream it was going for a long time, the part where it became lucid became particularly weird. I was riding a yellow schoolbus down this pretty winding road near my home. Out the window I saw a cop car with a cop driving and in the passenger seat. They were frantically opening and closing the doors and firing their guns through their front windshield. I guess I just suddenly realized this was really crazy and that I was dreaming. I watched the scenery for a bit, desperately trying to contain my excitement so as not to awaken. I closed my dream-eyes to try astral projection into the psyche of a friend from reality but I guess this was too ambitious a first thing to attempt, when I opened my eyes again I was still in the school bus on the road, but I was still dreaming. I closed my dream-eyes and tried again but when I opened them I had opened my reality-eyes and had come awake.

I had two disturbing dreams last night.
Firts one I felt a presence around me, and I didnt know what it was. Then I felt someone touching me in the left side of my chest. I awoke and I immediately bolted up right in bed but no one was there.

Then I had a longer dream, I was in my backyard sitting in a car in the passenger seat smoking. This is strange because I never smoke. Then another car pulls up to the side and starts shooting at me, trying to shoot me in the foot. They fire a few rounds but miss me altogether. So I run outta the car and head into my house which turns out to be a house I have never seen in my real life, but I accepted it as my house in the dream.

My family is there, and the people who were shooting at me outside are now attacking my house, and attempting to kill me and my family. I see my family members get shot and start bleeding, but none of them are mortally wounded. Then my dad comes up with the idea that if we turn off the lights they will think we have left the house and we can escape. So we turn off the lights, but then we realize that we made a mistake because now there is no reason they wont enter the house and try to attack us (no idea why this seemed to make sense).

So the evil men come barging in and we watch them from a drop down type stairway in the attic. And after they pass by us, we wait a few seconds and then jump down to the ground floor and try to make a run for it. But me and my family members all get seperated, and end up going off in the house alone, and most of them die or get shot a lot. I run to the "garage" but it turns out to be some type of huge storage facility and I am being chased by someone with a gun. As I am entering the garage I see some sort of monster backing away into the darkness of the garage, and I think to myself "Yeah the monster will kill this guy for me". So I enter the garage and run down a ramp that leads to the main floor of the garage, and i hide behind osme barrels and other garbage. Then I see the monster off in the distance, but I wake up.

Went into the liquor store and start browsing the aisles.  Two blondes and a guy come in.  They start browsing beside me.  I smile.  They smile.  I buy some beer and go play volleyball in the desert.

I notice a mountain of rock+dirt beside the volleyball court.

It has a "window" in it.  So I climb up.  A couple buddies follow me, one guy Bakke and this pathetic whiny golem-esque guy.  It is dusk and the sun is setting.

I look in the window and it is part of a house.  "Looks scary in there" says my buddy Bakke.  "Life is an adventure" I say and I smash it in and jump inside.  The place is covered in dust and looks unlived in.

After a delay, which I get scared, my buddy finally jumps in after me.  The other golem guy comes in too.

We start looking around, and get separated.  The house is a big maze.  I find my buddy Bakke again and we wander around.  We find the kitchen and open a chest, there is a bunch of dead bodies and bones mashed inside.  Bakke freaks out so I close it.  We look in the closet and there is a skinned corpse. "DUDE WE GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE" he says, panicking.  "Shhhh what if the people are home?"

I take a look in the bathroom, opening the door.  It is horrifying, there is something human tied up in a burlap bag leaning against the wall of the shower.  I quickly shut the door.

Night is setting and we cant find the golem-guy.  He starts screaming, we find the exit, and get out safely.

kinda boring dream but.. whatever :sun:

youve described the begining stages of a lucid ream, or rather, astral projection. Many people have trouble conciouslly leaving thier bodies, but with practice they master it.. The farthest Ive ever gone is feeling my " body " floating in this black sea of never ending distance, trying to break the cords connecting me to my body, I then loose concentration and wake up ; (

Right by association!
But it seems to go against your own experience.

how is 'right by association' supposed to mean anything in any applicable terms to make a point about what I said?

Practice isent over night.. Im talking years... most people just give up ...there comes a point when you just want to fall asleep, instead of staying AWARE the entire time as you slowly drift into the void trying to remain concious when the "split" occurs... And often times its not loss of intrest, you just catch a train of thought and then your out cold for the night.. other times its mere exaustion and you can no longer stay "awake" during the proceess, rather you conceed your mind to the process of sleep.

>how is 'right by association' supposed to mean anything in any applicable terms to make a point about what I said?

When I said "right by association!" I'm talking about conversational terrorism, of course.
Instead of proving a point, you offer foreign credentials like "the best scholars believe" or "9 out of 10 scientists agree." You pointed to the "many people" who go onto master astral projection with only a little practise. You reveal the reason behind using this foreign credential when you say "the farthest Ive ever gone is."

>Practice isent over night.. Im talking years... most people just give up ...
-You've been practising for years. I remember because when you were just getting interested in it, I agreed to hide a peice of paper with a random 4 digit number in my room that could be plainly seen by any omnipresent entity but not seen easily from a daily human perspective (it was on the top of a fan blade)

k, i havent yet read through the posts in this thread, but id still like to throw my weird dream out there for ya guys. this is a reoccuring dream, ive been having it for about 3 years now, and aprox. 35-40 times total.

i am a child again. about 6 or 7 i think, not really sure. i am at the church we went to while i was growing up, but it is WAY bigger in my dream. im guessing that there is at least 150,000 people there during my dream. the church looks the same, just way bigger. i am up in front of the people of the church, and my old pastor is by my side. he says some things to them, and they all stand. i have never quite got ahold of what he says, cant understand. maybe its not even english. anyway, at some point i realize that im wearing this long dark hooded robe thing, makes me think of what the druids might have worn. as soon as hes done with his little speach, my pastor reaches over to this "fire-pit-on-a-pedastal" thing, and pulls out this long glowing metal rod.the church members start to chant something....sounds kinda like.... "ooooooooooo....YAH!" anyway, i get scared, look over the crowd of people and see my parents. they seem very happy that this is taking place, and sometimes my mother has a baby in her arms. my pastor sticks the end of this rod thing into my forehead, branding me with some kind of symbol or something.i FEEL it burn.....i really feel it, its weird....it makes me wake up.

anyway, this used to scare the shit outa me, im not sure really what it means, if anything....but ive come to an idea of some sorts.

i thinkthis dream represents my unwillingness to just give in to most religious beliefs. i do think that there is a god or gods of some sort, but to just blindly believe something because some people wrote a book about it a long ass time ago doesnt work for me. i dont want to become another member of the "herd" so maybe my pastor branding me represents them trying to get me to conform to their beliefs....which kinda makes sence i think.

I had two dreams last night, one I can vaguely remember as being a large "end of the school year" party I decided to attend with some friends.

The other is much more clear, and our good friend Shroomism was one of the main characters in it :smirk:

I was at my grandparent's house, sitting in the basement den. I think there was some kind of family gathering going on upstairs, but the only people in the basement were Shroomism and myself. Shroomism was having me go through some kind of breathing/relaxation exercises, and was sitting in a chair directly accross from me. I was having trouble concentrating, so he told me to say the words "leave me now" and then breathe in deeply. I did so, and was overwhelmed with a strange tearing or pulling sensation, as if something was being ripped from inside my skull. Immediately I felt as if a great weight had been taken from my shoulders, and Shroomism asked me to repeat the words/breathing again. I did so, and the tearing sensation was much less pronounced than the first time. In my head, I knew what was happening: some malevolent spirit was leaving my consciousness or soul.

Immediately after this, we went outside to get some hamburgers my grandpa was making. For some reason I was unable to smile and I felt as if my cheeks were pulling downwards so as to make my mouth a strange grimace.

The dream changed, and we were in a forest. Camping, I think. Shroomism was still there, but now there was also a girl I did not recognize. Shroomism was leading the girl and I through the relaxation exercises once again. This time I felt no tearing sensation, and no need to say "leave me now". I cannot remember much from this portion of the dream.

Next we were entering my house, and I was introducing Shroomism and the girl to my mother (the girl's name was "sarah", and I didn't introduce Shroomism as "shroomism" but used his real name). My mother seemed very interested in the two and was pleased to meet them.

At this point, my alarm clock went off to bring me back to this waking life...just in time to head off to work

I been listening to bylateral stimulation as I sleep latley and my dreems have been more and more intense and interesting. I have my radio speakers set up so each one is on each side of my head. The music is a simple drum beat beating from one side of my head to the other. With this it stimulates both sides of my brain and gets them to both work at the same time. Almost like being in a true meditative state.
But any ways my last dream was that found a dead hawk. Then down in a bush close to wear I found it was a lil baby hawk. And I fead it and hung out with it. Thats all I can remember.

The other night I had this dream tha I was walking around backstage at some concert hall and I see Fiona Apple (I don't know where the hell that came from) anyways we start fucking around and the next thing I know she's sucking my cock. Then I started to have anal sex with her only she didn't really want to. I then split off from the first person perspective. I was watching this guy pleading with her to let him finish. Then he gives up. He then goes and takes a nose that is hanging from the ceiling of the concert hall and puts it around his neck. Next he jumps and swinges out across the crowd, slits his wrists and bleeds all over the audience. At first the audience cheers and then screams in horor when they realize what's going on by the time this is happening I am embodied as myself watching this from a distance. The rest of the dream is just me talking to random people from work and famous people about what happened. I think that this is what I get for reading so much Poe lately.

Todays dream went like this. I saw some caramel caped wood lovers next to a house right by the steps to the door. As I got down on my knees to admire them a old woman came out. And asked if I was picking them. I was like yes and she was so happy to hear that. She was like my and my husband used to pick them years ago. I was like wow realy and picked them and said good bye.

I had this dream the other night and I have to post it before I fucking forget too much of it....

Anyways, I was at my grandparent's house. My grandpa was looking out the window in the door and made some sort of negative comment about what he saw.. I walked up and looked out the window and I saw some people having fun by a car, so I figured that was it.

So I go outside and I find what he was really fucking pissed off. There was this short Korean man. He was, I believe, wearing like a carpenter suit or something... anyways, he had about twenty Korean kids in a group. And they were apparently going to spread all sorts of.. water, I think, over the house.

So I sat and reasoned with the man. He apparently believed that it was the right thing to do, and that nothing was to keep him and his child crew from doing it.

I don't remember how I finally talked him out of it, but I remember walking with him and the kids down the lane and he went acrossed the highway to have them dump the shit on the neighbors house.

It was totally insane! You should have seen the faces on the kids and their expressions... my god! :nut:

Then there was last nights dream..... it was this whole fucking dream experience and I can't begin to give it justice... so I won't.
Peace.

I had a very unusual dream experience this morning that will give you all an idea of just how accurate the human internal clock is. I was in a state of half-dreaming-half-awake a few minutes before my alarm went off. It was set for 11am. I can't see any clock directly from my bed (I have to get up to see it) but I had a vision of a digital clock in my head turn from 10:58 to 10:59, and somehow I *knew* that if I looked at my clock right now that's what the time was. At that point I fully awoke and looked at my clock: bingo! 10:59. I layed in disbelief for another minute until my alarm went off. Strange.

Strange indeed.

Reminds me of a time that I interacted with someone in real life while I was dreaming. I must have been close to the edge of waking up.. anyways, there was this green basket thing I had, and my parents had been using it to store like discs in and stuff for the computer. One day I decided to dump the shit out and I took the basket back to my room (wasn't exactly on good terms with them then... completely my misunderstanding that brought on a lot of shit I wouldn't have had to deal with... I guess I had to learn somehow.)

Anyways, apparently in the morning my stepmom came in and started talking to me about it or something and had like picked it up. I was dreaming, or somewhere very in between, and like all I knew was that it was a dream (although it wasn't). Apparently I said some things I wouldn't have normally said *gasp* and she got all pissed and took the thing and threw it against my wall... at which point I fully woke up.
Peace.  :mushroom2:

I had a dream that I was on a bus and it rolled over and everyone was flying around and screaming except me. Then when it stopped rolling there were these drunk guys beside me and they started puking up red stuff. Then I got up and walked to the front of the bus and sat down and the rest of the ride was smooth.

I think it meant that my life is gonna go topsy-turvy soon and everyone is going to be upset but I'll be calm and assured. In the end everything will be right-side up and I'll be happy. And I think the vomiting red means that I'm gonna be purged of the bad shit in my life. I hope thats what it means anyways.

very cool thread, shroomism

i don't think i've ever had a lucid dream, where i was conscious that i was dreaming. i'd like to learn how to do that, and gain a better grasp of dream control. does anyone have any insights or tips on how to lucid dream for someone like me who has never had such an experience before?

my dreams usually don't make sense, although while i am dreaming, it makes sense to me. after i wake, i can sometimes see symbolisms and meanings in the dream, but the stories themselves are usually whack, like if i wrote it down on paper, it would seem a bit... schizo or something.  :nut:

Last night I had the most intense nightmare I've had for a long time. I was out in the middle of the woods in a clearing and I had a bunch of little twigs and I was arranging them in a cone to start a fire. Nearby there was a little bluff of rocks and I saw a person come and stand at the edge looking at me and then go away. I went back to my fire. Sometime later he came back, it was difficult to see him though. I felt like maybe I should call out to him but I didn't. He went away again. The third time he came back he was carrying a bundle of long wooden spears under his left arm. He clambered down the cliff towards me and was walking straight at me. I could make out more details about him, he was a Native American wearing brown furs with long black hair and I think he had a mask on his face. As he came at me he pulled one of his spears out of the bundle and I knew he meant to impale me but I couldn't move my legs. When he'd gotten close he threw it very hard at me javelin-style and I woke up breathing heavily.

Yeah dream logic and reality logic are pretty far apart. The other night I was explaining to my wife that in one of my dreams I had at the age of about 5 I was on the battlestar galactica and we had to get onto this desert. The "rules" of the dream dictated that you had to jump off the spaceship (from orbit) and try and bounce off sticky tape on a dispenser before you landed on the sand. Seems ludicrous now, but made perfect sense at the time.

There is heaps of information on lucid dreaming out there on the web. A very brief summary:

- Write down your dreams. If you get into the habit of writing them down your dream recall improves greatly. (Remembering more dreams / night and in a lot more detail). You may have already had many lucid dreams but you just haven't been able to recall them.
- State your intention of having and remembering your dreams and to realise you're dreaming as the last thing you do before you go to sleep.
- Try and remain conscious as you fall asleep. This is very hard to do. (I've never done it, but feel I'm getting closer). A lot of people report success after going back to bed after getting up and doing something creative for half an hour after 4 or 5 REM cycles (roughly 6 or 7.5 hours of sleep) and then going back to sleep.
- Constantly do "reality checks". Check that you're sure you're awake by doing things such as:
--- verifying watches / clocks and street signs (or other written material) make sense and the text hasn't changed after looking away and back at them again
--- you have 5 fingers on each hand, and can't push fingers through your palm
--- you can't successfully levitate even an inch off the ground
--- light switches behave normally (i.e. the light goes off).

I've never managed to maintain lucidity for very long, but its always amazing when it happens!

Increased interest in lucid dreaming can by itself invoke a lucid dream, so if you're very lucky you might have on in the near future after reading this post!

Also - check out the movie Waking Life.

I dreamed of the end of the world last night, the world was hit by three major catastrophes, one was earthquakes with meteorites at the same time, the other one was a plague of insects that were devoring everything at their reach, and then it was a huge flood. And only the chosen ones were going to survive. Me, well i was mad cause I knew i had save a hit of acid for the end of the world and I didnt have it with me. In this dream i remeber my friend fall into the hot lava, jewish people stealing money and running away with it, and some crazy things, but it was so real. Dunno what it means.

I have been waking up to Nirvana's Teen Spirit these past mornings, but this morning the 1st eight chords of the song mixed into a dream.
Every 2 chord had a scene: 1,2,letters in some book jumping to the notes 3,4 zoom out and the paragraphs are dancing to the note 5,6 Suddenly there is a picture of Paul McCartney as if it had been cut from the book, his mouth is cut out and moves up and down with the notes 7,8 John Lennon the same way (and then the song kicks, and I got outta bed.)

The whole thing had a real Monty Python quality, and somehow I knew that the Beatles were members of Parliment...

Good Morning!

The main reason I am posting this is because I have a picture to go with it...

I remember it clearly but not lucidly. I was outside my house and the sun had exploded in a way..sort of like the end of the world but the thing was that everybody was cool with it. My whole family was there and we all just kind of watched the black sky as the moon appeared to be eaten by the sun...this would be impossible in the real world but...I don't know. I felt that only in a situation like this would everyone be truly happy with what they have, like 5 minutes before you die time would lose meaning and all the stupid little things in the world that everybody is so preoccupied with would go away. I guess it kind of reflects the way i have trouble with my family and that these troubles are meaningless when it comes down to it. After a minute of watching this really cool thing, a giant were-bat came swooping down at my little sister and I punched it in the face but nobody cared.

I had this dream a few nights ago where I was by this house in the forest, there was a wooden shed across from the house and a dried out creek bed in between. I wandered around for awhile, I felt the presence of others though I did not see anyone. As I was walking toward the house during twilight I saw a girl about the age of 10 crawling down the dried out creek bed. Her dirty hair was in her face so you could not see what she looked like but her arms were white and she had on a white gown that was blackened with dirt and mud. I suddenly realized she was dead. She disappeared in the trees at the bottom of the little ravine and I followed. The next thing I knew was the sky blackened and it began to pour. Lightning flashed and I fell to my knees and began to slowly climb up the creek bed which was now flooded with water. as I reached the middle very tired I realized that the bottom of the creek was now covered in dog hair. I could feel the wet hair under under my hands covering the rocks. Once i noticed the rocked they began to pierce me and stab into my hand. My hands were gushing blood and the razor sharp rocks continued to penetrate them. As I reached the top I chose to turn left and go into the wooden shed. There was the girl that I was climbing up the creek bed. But I was no longer her and now there were two of her. There was a man with a camera taking a flash picture of the girls who who's faces were twisted and rotted from the time they had been burried. Also, there was a woms, who resembled Sagorney Weaver (was not her though) she had shorter hair and was wearing a half shirt that exposed a scar on her stomach which she had aquired during the sea section when she had the twins. The scar opend and all her insides fell out. I then sprung up in bed and thought "what the hell was that?!"

I dont know what the hell it was, I dont think it was anything, just thoght I'd throw it up.

i have been having a very strange thing happen in my dreams. i will wake up from the dream, and start to go about my day...and then wake up again...and start to go about my day....and then wake up again. is waking up in your dreams and still having it be part of the dream normal?? it sure is freaky.

heres an example.

i had an extremly vivid dream. my ex girlfriend was trying to hand me my phone, and she said to me "its john" and im like 'who...i dont know anyone named john', and she's like "its john, he thinks your dead, you have to talk to him". so i just started to feel so confused...and then i wake up to the phone ringing at 6:45am in the morning. i remember staring at the clock for a moment and thinking to myself why would anyone call this early, and so i run and pick up the phone, and when i pick up the phone its just clicking noises, so im getting more confused, and i look up and my ex girlfriend is there and she says to me "its john...he's a dolphin". so i go put my phone down on my chair and sit on my bed. and then i wake up for real, and its 6:00 am. the phone is on the hook...not on my chair. my ex girlfriend is still 4 hours away from me, not in my room.

these dreams happen to me all the time. the scary ones are when i wake up and im not in my room, not in my town, not anywhere ive ever been before and i get extremely confused and paranoid, and then i wake up in my room again. its very dissorienting, and often i wake up and feel like i need to throw up because im so confused.

I had a nightmare last night. I havent had a scary dream in a long time but this one was out of control. I was in a place that sort of resembled a theme park, except it was very creepy and gothic. I was friends with this guy who was making his own attraction. It was a really scary haunted house with holographic zombies or something. I went through it and it scared the shit out of me. It was all dark, and these zombies were like coming out of their graves and trying to get me. Since I was dreaming, the fact that it was supposed to be a fake haunted house didnt really play to strong of a role. I saw some really creepy looking dead shit. Eventually he led me out and we started walking around. Btw, This guy was like 6'8, he had dark hair, a gray deathly looking suit, and was like 25 years old.

A lot of wierd stuff was going on but nothing too scary. Then towards the end, shit got really intense. I was trapped in this theme park. I was basically enjoying some of it because it was cool, but some stuff kind of freaked me out. But i couldnt seem to leave. Around this time there was some sort of group after me. I cant really remember exactly what it was all about, but they were kind of stalking me and I would see them around. I didnt know what they wanted. Then my friend gives me a gun and tells me I have to shoot some dude, and then my friend would make sure that the group doesnt bother me and I could even leave if I wanted too. Now since this was just a regular dream and not lucid or anything, I ended up listening to him and taking the gun. I didnt want to do it but I felt I had too. Next thing I remember I go up to this guy and shoot him in the head.

Now after I do this, I'm like holyshit wtf did I just do? Im going to pay for this. Then everything started getting dark and scary. I felt like there was some evil force that was going to make me pay for what I did. But I sort of played it off, because my friend was like GOOD JOB ADAM, dont worry about it your fine now. But I felt I was somehow going to be punished. Then he tells me, lets celebrate by taking a walk through my haunted house. I looked in the house and the same scary shit was going on. I refused to go in because of the fear I already had going on. He insisted. I refused. Then the zombies start coming out of the house. They are popping up everywhere and coming after me. Im trying to calm myself down saying they are fake, none of them are real. Then things are getting more scary, louder, hellish, and im like starting to run and panic. As I hop over a fence I see these Banshees like screaming my name and they are really scary looking..and sounding. ( I mean banshee by a woman-zombie thing that is tall, has a robe, and long gray hair, with sucked in eyes, and an open mouth.) This was the worst part of the dream and I continued to run as more and more dead shit was yelling my name, and this was all because I shot that person. I knew it. So I ended up waking up during this, probably because it was too scary to remain asleep. My heart was pounding and I was all hot and shit. This dream was nuts, but I'm glad I had it. Intense dreams are always good for ideas in the future

LD'ing and Meditation-

Last night after drinking I had an LD and discovered something useful...
I was in the local jail alone in a cell. After a few minutes I realized it was a dream, but when your stuck in a cell theres not much you can do, lol. So I decided to try meditation. I was a bit worried that closing my eyes and then re-opening them might make we awake, but I had nothing to lose. Though I only meditated for a minute I found many useful benefits, one of them being it changed the scenery to my bedroom. Along with that it seemed to add a lot more stability to the dream, it was one of the longer LD's i've had. Strangely it takes only a few seconds to get to that point of clear-headness that you might reach in the real world.

Next time im able to try it again i'll meditate as long as possible, as well as doing RC's to further stabilize the dream (forgot last night)

Okay, first time posting in this forum in general. I have a serious question... when I was in 5th grade, I was always getting " happy dreams, " as my friends called em. Sex dreams. Now i'm not getting anything! lol! Is there a way to induce dreams in general?
Also, I haven't gotten many dreams lately at all. Is there a link to what you do in real life and your " night life " of dreams?

keep a journal of any dreams you have - you'll start dreaming more really fast.
then look on the internet for information on lucid dreaming - there's lots of methods to induce it and it's when you can control your dreams. There's also an herb called Calea Zacatechichi or something similar that's said to induce lucid dreaming.

me too! except i dont dream im jesus, instead i dream that i have this wierd blood type that came from the dogstar or pleadies or some shit and that im almost like an angel and im the only one left on earth like me *_* ...funny thing about it , too: everytime i get a blood test my blood type changes. no lie!
as for the first poster, amusement parks represent your sexuality in dreams. the fact you're seeing zombies and dead scary shit may mean that you have regretful feelings about something sexual you have done or have thought about.
i notice i have dreams almost identical to yours after i have went behind my boyfriends back and uh *blush* watched porn hehee. but then i realize "hey he does it too dammit hell hed probably like it if i did hehehe!"
so i let it go.:)
also, try dreammoods.com they have a great dream ictionary and forum!

Daba said I should put this post here (reposted from OTD), so here it is:

I had the weirdest dream the other night. I wasn't taking anything. Anyone who knows dream interpretation want to try and interpret this:

I'm swimming, naked in a river of what looks and feels like dirty motor oil. It has no smell that I can remember. It's about 30 meters across and the landscape to either side is bleak and barren. I see a city off to my left in the distance, scyscrapers and crap. I come to a tributary of the river, only the tributary is adding clear water to the river. I take the tributary because of the water I think, but it also happens to lead to this city I saw earlier. Also I seem to be swimming like a champion through this when in real life I can't swim worth a damn. The doggie paddle.

Anyway, when the tributary has almost reached the city it gets smaller and comes directly out of a square fountain type unit, right next to a tall building. There were no suburbs, just bleak terrain leading right up to this skyscraper. I hop right up into the fountain for some reason, then I see some clothes laying on the pavement next to the building. I get out of the water and I'm dry, and not oily or anything. (come to think of it I can't even remember being oily when I was swimming in the black stuff). I put on the clothes and they fit nicely. When I pick up the last piece of clothing, I notice it was concealing a pistol. I pick this up immediately.

As soon as I touch the pistol I am aware of my friend Michelle, a respiratory therapist I work with at the hospital. She's a short redhead, very cute but in the dream she has a .44 mag and starts shooting at me. She has suits with her, but she seems to be the ringleader and she's screaming at the top of her lungs as she's shooting "Kill him, kill him, kill him! Die! Die Die"

I run. I try and shoot over my shoulder but apparently my wonderful acquired talent for swimming is limited to just that because I can't aim worth shit, just like in real life. I run through the city and I think I've lost them running down into what looks like it may have been a subway terminal, when a homeless person clotheshangs me with a broom. I woke up then.

---

Michelle accused me of being on something when I told her this dream(she's never shot a gun in her life, and is not a violent person that I know of). Anyway, intepret that.

once in a while i get these dreams where i fall in love with dream girls. i wake up and hate the feeling i get, like i miss her totally, even though she doesnt exist. in the dream when we are together, i feel so happy, so content, so in love...its like my feelings feel more real, they're more passionate, meaningful, and deep.

does anyone else have these things?

I just finish reading the 6 pages and decide I am going to share my dream too.

The only dream I can remember that I died in was like 4 years ago. There was this fireball coming at me from the sky, it looked a bit like a meteor. I remember telling myself, NOOoo I dont want to die. At the last 30 seconds I just realized, I can die, yeah finally this is all over. Has the meteor hit me I didnt felt any pain but felt the most pleasant felling I could ever have, death.

Then I woke up and was fuck1ng pissed off cause I wasn't dead for real. I was in a depressing phase in those years, but I so damn remember the nice feeling I had when dying in that dream.

Has for lucid dreaming, does anyone tried the Calea. I should receive a quarter kilo of it within a month. So I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to use that calea. Like whats the best dosing and way to ingest it.

I want to thx Shroomism for this great thread.

I have some sort of feeling like shroomism has some divination gift, if so and you do know that you have Shroomism, you can come and take part of my dream anytime dude

ok i dig this dream stuff a lot, so much so that i waste my holiday time sleeping in to continue my dreams, I find they're easier to remember in that half waking state u have in the morning. Once your awake just go into your next dream, never had a real (REAL and long)lucid dream unfortunately.

1st dream
I was at the skatepark, it was in the late evening about during sunset or even just after the sunset (never saw the sun), at the far end where everyone always sits down i look to the sky and see a full moon its a somewhat cloudy sky and then these clouds part and just underneath the moon is a second full moon. This freaked the fuck out of me, it seemed very sinister and evil. It freaked me so much that i was paralysed and fell back in slow motion and fainted. I remember the other guys were looking at me like wtf?

that left me a little freaked but i got over it (had far worse dreams but something about that was sooo weird it scared me)
anyway in the next day or a few later maybe i saw the full moon and underneath it was venus shining brightly, like exactly alligned and about the same distance apart.

had plenty more exciting dreams but i'll just explain this one where i definitely realised i was dreaming, i was completely lucid but my stupid self didnt take control so to speak.

2nd dream
I was laying in my bed asleep, i open my eyes and i see my room there. a (seemingly) exact replica of my room as if it Was just basically my room. all the posteres are there the desk all that. The light is on. I look at the posters and they change each time i look back at them, the size and colour is roughly the same just the subject changes and lots of little quirks like this made me realise i was dreaming. It felt though as if my eyes were wide open, i knew i was dreaming but it felt i was just regularly looking at it with my physical eyes but with somewhat altered perception.

Had similair experiences knowing im dreaming but not feeling my eyes were open, fun to experiment in this lucid state but its always been short-lived, i usually just fall out of the lucid state and continue dreaming.

Thats all, just felt weird.

If you read through that comparitively, boring and insignificant post, i thank you

That happens to me sometimes.

My last dream was so bizarre it defied explanation. Picture this:

Walking backwards in a grassy clearing in a dense, green wet jungle, while this old british guy dressed in khakis (looks a lot like the guy from various nature shows in Discovery channel...dont know his name but hes got a very distinct voice) flanked by two hispanic looking children, each wearing a white beach towel with the flag of a South American country (I remember seeing Bolivia and Uruguay) as a cape, tied at the neck. They're all holding sticks with strings (or what I assume to be strings..) with large black spiders tied to the end.

I feel like a cameraman, and the spiders look like tarantulas but somehow aren't. Not hairy at all, instead they have sleek shiny black bodies covered in a coat of slime. Somehow I realise Im in the Amazon, bit have no idea why. I end up backing into a swamp and they fling the spiders out, as though they're fishing. One catches a bag of coke, smeared with blood. The other catches a female spider and the pair proceed to copulate furiously, but they're somehow tangled in my hair (which is odd, because I don't have any) and swell bigger in size until they expolode in a rain of spider cum and eggs, all over me. *shudders*

Thats kind of when things went downhill. I remember thrashing about in my bed, trying to wake up. And then I suddenly just wake up and its over. I can still see the spiders in my minds eye though.

--------------------
Come down, slowly. I'm waiting by your side
Come down, carefully. I'm waiting by your side

I'll grab you when you fall. Down to the waking hours
Silent sweeps as golden corn. Down to the waking hours.

since i stopped smoking pot i have had extensively vivid and realistic dreams.

i stopped about 3 weeks ago, so i havent really had a large amount of these dreams, but theyre still eerily real.

the first one was about my little brother, who chose to take his own life (in the dream) and was not able to do it, so he asked me to help. somehow i had a gun so i shot him twice in the head, and it didnt work so he shot himself once. when he died, i was the only one who could see him/talk to him, and if anyone has seen the show "Dead Like Me" on Showtime it had a feeling like that associated with it.

more recently, i had a dream where i went to cash in hundreds of dollars' worth of coins i had, except i had no way of carrying them except in my hands. i dropped most of them, so i decided it was too much trouble and went home. my friends were at my house and we figured out a new way to smoke weed: splicing a rope around it and smoking the rope (i know it sounds totally ridiculous but i havent mastered lucidity yet, it seemed perfectly normal). i quickly got way too high and saw the world around me melt, almost as on a mushroom trip. i fell backward and noted that none of my friends seemed to care, then i woke up.

there have been a few others that were just as crazy. do you guys have any tips on how to induce lucidity? i want to discover what my subconscious is trying to tell me about these dreams. i have gone to that ld4all.com and so far i havent had any success, so what do you guys usually do?

Supposedly the traditional use was drinking a tea made out of it and then smoking a cigarette of it. I can say from experience that the tea is one of the most horrible, bitter tasting things I've ever tasted. I couldn't get down one sip without having the urge to throw it back up so I just stick with smoking a cigarette of it once in a while. I would recommend getting the extract although I've never tried the extract myself, I definitely would if I would consider buying more of this herb. It works sometimes, once in a while I'll get a tingling throughout my body but that's somewhat rare, other than that the only effect while awake that it gives is drowsiness. I've found that when it does work it promotes more frequent and lucid dreams.

They say the proper dose is when you can hear your own heartbeat although this hasn't happened to me even after smoking two cigarettes of this herb which is why I recommend the extract, perhaps it'd be more effective.

do you guys have any tips on how to induce lucidity?

There is no foolproof method I'm aware of, but one thing I can tell you is that virtually ANYTHING you do to break up the routine of your daily life will greatly increase your odds of having a lucid dream. You can always try drinking a nasty tasting tea, but I recommend using your imagination (isn't that the key?).

Load all the dishes from your cabinets into the back seat of your car and drive them around town while listening to country and western music. From the time you get home for the day from school, work, or whatever, everywhere you walk do it walking backwards. Find something for yourself. The key is it must be a substantial departure from your normal routine without being energy draining. No sex, no working out (but you can safely unload those dishes now).

DO set your thermostat about 2 degrees higher than you normally set it, and spend the last few hours of the night as you normally would minus energy draining activities. Also don't eat for 3 or 4 hours before bedtime. Go to bed hoping for a lucid dream, but not demanding one either.

Remember when you wake up to lie still and try to remember any dreams you just had. Often we forget them when we snap into the robotic dream known as life at the start of every day..

I had what could be described as yeat another lucid dream. i slept at around 4:20 am, very relaxed and comfortable. Then i got this feeling of being pulled by some force from my body and floating upwards out of the bed. The sensation is great but somewhat undescribable.

The dream is a bit blurred but what i do remember clearly is that i saw everything in my dream with great detail, i was basically doing what i usually do when i lucid dream, float around and fly from building to building. I remeber being able to see my hands and mvoe them controlably whislt knowing i was dreaming thinking to myself, WOW so this is lucid dreaming.

this is about the 4th lucid dream i have had.

The most amazing sensation is being able to feel everything around you, the zero g as your floating around and the air rushing past your ears and thru your hair.

Heh i also rember this female figure dancing around in the air and also some chinese guy who game me a really cool watch.

I cant rember anything else and i really dont know what to make of this dream either.

Had the strangest dream a while ago... Dreamt I was in my classroom in 4th period, talking to people in the class, and it was just an ordinary day... This went on for give or take 5 or 6 minutes, and when I woke up I'd totally forgotten it. Then the next day I was sitting in 4th period, and something small happened, triggering a massive flood of the entire dream back into my head, as what was happening was EXACTLY what I'd dreamt. I turned to the person beside me, and 30 seconds in advance dictated the next 5 minutes including random students coming in, things the teacher said, and who would ask to go to the washroom next... Neither of us could believe it...

Mylz eek! freaky.

I remember one dream once i saw into the future so to speak. It was way back when i was about 6-7ish and i remember getting in trouble by a teacher at school at a specific point in the school. The next day (or soon after) that's exactly what happened by that exact teacher. Now this happened a long looong time ago so i cant be sure if it happened 1st and then i only dreamed it, or the other way around which is what i was sure of for a long while. But my memory is too hazy for me to really believe that.

..however i often get a song in my head and then come back home and hear it on the radio. I remember walking home from school with Pearl Jam the take-a-bottle-drink-it-down-pass-it-around song, and then presto it was on the radio. This happens fairly often, or sometimes i have a simpsons quote in my head and then that episode is on.

I suppose it could be i have a vast multitude of thoughts constantly cycling in my sub-conscious occasionaly peeking into my normal awareness and only when i hear the song or see the tv show i notice a connection, but to me it seems as though there is a definite synchronisity because it's just so freaky having the exact song played after it being stuck in yer head for the whole day.

...ANYWAY this is a dream thread right?
I'll tell you guys a few of my experiences and then my most recent dream, if you care to read it

I often notice (especially when i am very tired and in a "i can fall asleep this second" sort of state) that when im drifting into sleep i am thinking of things i've been concentrating on, chemistry or maths/physics assignments for example. And i get all these equations and words in my head and i am reading them and they all make sense in a way but are immediately forgotten and follow no logical path. Once i was 'reading' fluent italian (i learn italian) although i could in no way produce so much fluent speaking at my level, but in my dreams its another thing. Most often though i imagine my fingers on a keyboard typing a whole bunch of bullshit that when i observe it is so rediculous and with no logic but they are all real words and sentences just meaning f*ck all. anyone get similair experiences?
I know when logic goes sloppy dead that i'm about to fall asleep.

Once i've fallen asleep or am nearly Nearly there, i often visualise something as if i was just laying there staring at it with my eyes open. (similair to the staring at my room with eyes open experience). I would see the bed post or the fan in my room and then realise aha this isn't here im just visualising it, and then after that if i can keep my lucidity it's great but that is rarely the case.

I'll retell two dreams.
First was a while ago. I remember drawing an escheresque type pencil drawing, mostly rectangles or rectangular rooms but in that great escher style so that the holes would be poking out (instead of going in) and the ceiling was the floor and all that craziness (hard to explain). I remember that eventually the sketch (already having a true 3d look) would turn into a real room. The room was like inside a submarine cabin. it felt like i was in some sort of fps. I was laying in my bunk and peered over the edge. There i saw yellow and black (i think they were barrels with a radioactive sign) in a large container on the floor. At that moment i became (semi)lucid. I looked up, and then peered over the edge again and the shapes were there but the objects different like, smaller containers and plastic yellow dolphin torches, i repeated a few times and the shapes kept changing (but remained yellow). i looked around the cabin and could change the shapes/dimesnsions of the room, it was all pretty fun until i woke up

hmm i cant be bothored writing yesterdays dream, i will some other time but it involved big fat native aztec guys doing bombs off a rock diving board into a nice waaaarrm pool. haha it was really funny.

Last night after doing zazen I went to bed at 3 AM.

I sank slowly into sleep... and had my first dream of the night.
I was petting a happy dog, when suddenly I felt another neck and head on the dog's body and realized "Whoa! This dog has two heads!" I continued petting (being pretty creeped out, but the dog seemed sorta happy, so I continued), and went to rub the second head between the ears, when I realized there was a third head that had sprouted from the top of the second (no neck, however)! I was deeply disturbed, the dog began gnawing (playfully?) on my arms, and I woke myself up. The entire dream lasted about thirty seconds apparent time.

I went back to sleep.

I had a number of very short, disturbing dreams, which I woke myself up from (one of which involved me ranting a lot in my sleep, but that's all I remember) which all seemed to last less than one minute. There seemed to be some part of myself that was semi-conscious and reasoning, thinking "Whoa, these are really fucked up dreams... I wonder why I keep having them." Finally one time when I woke up, I turned off my computer, the fan of which was buzzing loudly, and I had decided was causing these dreams somehow.

Back to sleep. Somehow it seemed that my awareness remained with my body, or rather, that I was dreaming of myself, sleeping. My dream-consciousness was floating around my sleeping body, until I heard several slight sounds.. it sounded like someone was moving around in the room... finally I discerned a dark shape in the room, creeping closer to my bed. A shaft of moonlight from the window just barely illuminated the prowler's face, and I recognized it was my friend, Matt, who is slightly crazy. I sprang up from my sleep, sitting up in bed, and mumbled some incoherent congratulations to him on successfully sneaking into my room and almost sneaking up on me. As my foggy vision cleared, I realized there was no one in the room but me and my sleeping roomate.

I got out of bed again (now 5 AM), and found most of my bedding had been kicked to the floor. I retrieved it, wrapped my self up in the blanket (realizing I was somewhat cold), and went back to a deep undisturbed sleep for the rest of the night.

this was a cool dream i had, i went into the face on mars!

anyway, i was on a rocket with a crew of about 7. we travelled to mars and landed on the planet. we put on our space suits and walked outside..the sand and mountains, everything was orange/red colour. our mission was to actually enter the face on mars. so from our landing point we started to trek to the side of the face, it was HUGE.
when we got about 10 metres from the side wall of the face it cracked, bright light was shining through the crack. it started to slide open. we walked inside, the interior was metallic, very shiny. on one far end of the room was a massive like LCD screen, it was weird. it was like a massive mainframe. and sitting infront of the computer was a really odd lookin alien. he was heaps tall, very skinny. specially his arms and neck, he was a bluish/purple colour and had a few large dots over him (dont remember the colour of the dots)
anyway he was friendly, as in he didnt mind us intruding but more welcomed us. he didnt speak or move much, but somehow we were communicating. in the end he asked me somehow if i would like to stay behind, and live with him. i chose to stay. the rest of the crew travelled back to where ever we came from.

the dream started out with me being on the rocket, so who knows.

had a pretty cool dream.
Was shroom hunting on a nice cold and wet day. Went with my folks and their friends, (they like to go shroom hunting for lactarius deliciousus and other edible shrooms) I obviously took the opportunity to look for my favourite shrooms and found a LOT of them, my dad points out a few and i said "No not them ones! They're not what im looking for" anyway so he ended up helping me look for the psychadelic shrooms - haha real weird cuz theres no way i'd tell him about them and then no way he'd help me find them.

We found a huge patch and i spotted a rather big one. Next thing i know its as big as a rather large tree so they need to take out a huge saw or sumthing to cut it down. Once it's cut i have a bad feeling that it was an endangered species or under protection or sumthing and start running, i run out of the forrest which turns out to be surrounded by a large suburb (very unforrestlike area). um thats about it. I just thought the huge mushroom was really cool!

haha sweet. TinTree, i also find that fans contribute to crazy dreams.

im so into dreams right now its crazy and ive been having a lot of LDs or what i think are LDs. heres my LD from last night:

i was on stage with Incubus and my friend. at first we were their dancers, but then it changed to just chillin on stage. one of the band members pulled out a pipe and i went to ask Brandon (lead singer) if he had any weed and he said "man, dont do weed. trip on shrooms!" and i was like "yeah but i he has a pipe so lets smoke" and hes like "ok i have some back stage" and then it ended! i fucking hate when i dont smoke in a dream, everytime i dream about having weed i NEVER smoke it . i dont have dreams about pot a lot but that was a pretty cool one! i saw, felt, heard, said everything and if i wanted to say something, i said it. i had complete control of the dream! yayyy

Me too. I stopped smokin about two weeks ago, and last night i had a darn weird realistic dream:
I was outside, lookin at the stars, and all of a sudden, these comets come down to earth with circular paths (almost like a hallucination).
And this was a dream inside a dream. So i wake up in a car (still dreaming), and as i get home, i see that my house had been grossly separated in two parts by a comet, and someone tells me that a big comet landed somewhere else in the world and that it was a catastrophe. Then i go up to my mom, and i tell her that i dreamed that comets were going to come down, but she didn't seem to understand me.

What took hold of my attention when i really woke up is that i realized that when i saw my destroyd house, i asked myself if this was real, and it seemed so real that i told myself it had to be real, without realizing it was a dream.

aren't you supposd to realize your dreaming when you ask yourself in your dream if what your seeing is reality or not?

Lucid Dreaming Sites And Online Communities [Re: Shroomism]
    #2683584 - 05/15/04 07:11 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

Good evening fellow shroomerites!

I am a dreamer. I discovered lucid dreaming last fall when I first saw the excellent Linklater's movie "Waking Life". I have had 3 lucid dreams since then (I'm a lazy ass :smirk:). It's a pity none of them did last long enough to really enjoy...

I don't want to post a dream or something, but only because all my dreams are too intimate to share with this enormous community. I just want to tell you about some great lucid dreaming related online sites/communities. I'm sure most of You know about them already, but still:
  • The Lucidity Institute
This institute founded in 1987 by Dr. Stephen LaBerge is a pioneer in lucid dreaming research.
  • Through the Mirror
Very informative site with the oldest online lucid dreaming community.
  • Dream Views

Re: Dream Thread [Re: Shroomism]
    #2695793 - 05/18/04 11:53 AM (16 years, 2 months ago)

It was summer of 2001, and i was experiencing once again, divine moments of truth , while trance-dancing and eating Amanitas during a Psychedelic trance festival that was held on a Greek island called "Samothraki"

After consuming Amanitas for almost 4 days on a row, i decided the time had come for a stronger dose.

The thing is, that i had mixed the grinded shrooms into a jar with marmelade, and i had no control of the actual dose i was ingesting...
After eating almost all of the marmelade, i smoked some hash, and felt quite sleepy...

I went to some friends that where camping close to me, but found them sleeping in their tent.
Not having enough space to lie down inside the tent, i lied down, keeping only half of my body (head in) in the tent.

Right after liyng down, i closed my eyes and started to see clearly right away.................................................................

Crystal vivid pictured, i watched what the eyes of a person would, if he was cannoned from the earth with an unspeakable speed.

First i saw the tents ceiling, and right after alot of leaves, from the trees above the tent, out of the leaves and into the air, higher and higher , i could now see alot of tents from up there, i could now see a part of the dancefloor.....

larger part of the dancefloor along with camping area.......all of the dancefloor full of happy people dancing, thru some clouds (could only see white for 1/100 of a sec)

....Could now see all of the festivals area, along with some part of the island, it felt that something is pulling me in a straight line right out of where i was liyng down towards......who knows where!!!!?!!!!!

....larger part of the island, the whole island, alot of see around, the picture now was starting to look like a map, i could see some part of the country as i have seen it only on map......i could now see small parts of neighbour countrys.....

could see a large part of Europe now, whole Europe, more of the earth, more and more, untill i had this Sattelite view (and didnt even have the time to shit my pants)

Up to now all this cannon-procedure seemed as if it had lasted a just a few seconds (just to give you an idea of the speed)

Surprised, i watched the earth become smaller and smaller, feeling like an astronaut.
I was curious in what else could happen after such a long trip.....(I could hear the sound of the mooving earth now.in the silent space.....)

Well.......the earth became so small that other planets of our Solar-System became visible, in the beginning just a few, but in a matter of seconds i could see all of them, in great detail,

still moving with THE speed.
All of our solar system was now getting smaller and smaller.......i could see so clear that everyday life seems blured....

Our solar system was not visible anymore, i could now see the shape of our Galaxy (i dont even remember all these planetary aspects in my everyday life)

It was like a fucken documentary about space!

The galaxy became smaller and smaller as i was still on my way..............
I felt what i think was the entry into another Galaxy, only because i could see it become smaller and smaller again....At that point, i remember thinking,....."What next? What's after the Galaxyz?" And suddenly i felt as if i was in the clouds again, bright white light was making me blind.......

Right after, i started to see better , and could see another world where everything existed on clouds..........

I saw some gardens, where i could hear female voices coming from....i approached one of the gardens, (very happy) and was exited with my new discovery.

Right after i thought that my girlfriend was a jail, and wanted to get rid of it (i left her behind to go to that festival)

I could now see my girl and me in a space-ship classic UFO with no ceiling (from behind)

I saw me showing her some strange thing that was turning around it self, changing shape constantly, and i thought that this is what i always was trying to explain to her....
My knowledge of the liquid nature of anything, and that our relationship was actually just a short period of time, since everything changed constantly.

After that i remember being very enthusiastic as i was for the first time (from what i could remember)  to perceive the world thru fluorescent rectangulars, triangles and other geometrical shapes floating in total black space (background).
It seemed that...every shape, was a completely diferent optical angle of perception.
I could think thru the triangle perspective, and thru the lozengle and so on...

The strangest thing of all, is that during the whole trip, i had my <<normal>> everyday way of thinking with me.
I could think, critisize and see what all these strange things mean for my life!
I dreamed awaken!
Finally, i <<woke up>> only that i knew that waking up didnt mean the same thing to me anymore.

Happy as very few times in my life for the incredible experience i just had, i started dancing jumping as high as i could in the air......
unfortunatelly because of the Amanitas i had no sense of balance, and i landed with my nose (auts!) on another guys head......
The crash was so violent that along with a *crack* inside my nose , i saw the guy holding his head from pain.....

I broke my nose alright, and lied down waiting for the bleeding....there was no bleeding eventually but only a very strong pain, which was strange enought since i never feel any kind of pain on my body during Amanita intoxication. It is completely numb.

My nose became 3 times its normal size and i wasnt so happy as i was in the beggining.......i danced tho, and managed to have a good time.

Moths later, i had to deside on whether i would make a surgery to make me breath easier since i had a bad since birth diaphragm.
Well Amanitas made my descision alot easier, since i now had a freakier nose than before and couldnt breath so well.

The result was that i now after the surgery have a perfectly working nose, better than what i had when i first came to life.

I dont think i would have done this surgery if didnt hit that guys head tho. That made things worse enough to make me desire the better.

He he. very intense man! More than i could ever imagine!!!

I wanted to trip more because i knew that shamans in the past used to trip for a week or more with the king of shrooms. (i read that somewhere on the net)

And i see always some kind of continuation on the trips with Amanitas......so i wanted to see how deep the rabbithole goes i guess.....

My dreams have also increased in intensity and lucidity since I stopped smoking pot.  I keep having a sort of recurring dream with slight variations each time.  I keep getting nuked!  Last time I was surfing with my friend, when about a mile away, this huge bomb was falling to the ground at about 5 miles an hour...I knew it was a nuke, and we both dived under the water.  Well, we got vapourized   The cool thing is these dreams aren't negative - I get a big rush like "wow I'm finally gonna find out what happens next".  Most times this happens I feel myself being pulled up into the sky shortly after the nukage.  Good fun!

I had a very odd dream a night ago, and I discovered how it all turned it. The dream was a harbringer.

Two days ago, I discovered some unopened, but long overdue yogurt. I threw it out without opening it.

A night later, I had a dream that I was drinking some yogurt from the fridge. There were three yogurts, the same type from which I threw away in the fridge, and I gave my buddy (who's name escapes me right now) a yogurt to drink. I popped one open and drank it myself, and then felt this strange fuzz go down my esophagus. Oddly enough, as I peered into the yogurt I was drinking, there were two large and hairy amoeba like fungus moving around in the yogurt. I felt sick to my stomach and did not want to tell my friend what I did, but then I woke up, still feeling sick.

The next day, my grandmother was preparing some dishes and she accidently cut off a part of her nail while chopping some bamboo. I bandaged her up, but I thought where the nail could have went. Come dinner time, I was eating her fabulous mushroom soup, when I noticed something hard and shell-like.

You can piece together the rest of the story.  :tongue:rojectile:

I had a dream last night about a shroomery member :smirk:

It also combined this member with my job, me getting fired (because of the member in question!) and losing my girlfriend (I don't have one, IRL).

Somehow all that twisted into a LONG dream sequence about me trying to fix what appeared to be a computer from far into the future.

One morning about half a year ago, I was lying awake in bed. Worried. What was wrong with me? Why did the peace I felt a month ago leave? Fear and loathing, you guys get the picture. Then I clearly remember thinking: "will it be ok if I just stop smoking pot?" Bam! My cell phone rings, I stretch my arm and pick it up. In the other end I can hear a conversation, like if someone called you up by accident because they left the num lock off. One sentence could be heard: "It surely will." beeeeeeeep. Silence.

After this I got out of bed. Perplexed. I remain perplexed. Was it a dream? I remember a week later, telling my brother of the incident. Then I got the idea to check 'incoming calls' on my phone, but no such calls came that day. Weird. Anyways - still smoking, still stuck.

this dream made no sense.
i was in this huge house, more like a mansion. i was in the kitchen. it looked like it was atleast 50 stories high. it was a real nice place.. the staircase going up was strange, it was zig zagging up in all directions, there wasnt any handrails so it was a little dangerous. i decided to walk up the stair case. i walked up to about the 13-14th floor and that lead me into a huge open room with cribs and beds all over the place. there were babies crawling along the ground. some of them even tried pushing me off the edge of the stair case. i was freaking out heaps bad and kicked a few babies off the edge and ran down the stairs. i was back in the kitchen now and was walking towards a backdoor. but when i opened the door i realized i was in a massive purple void. all that existed outside the house was purple. i freaked out more, closed the door cos i thought id fall into the void. soon as the kitchen door shut the walls turned to lego blocks and fell apart. i turned around and there was this giant baby with a lizard head. it could blow fire out of its mouth, it wanted me dead. so i picked up lego blocks and threw them at its head and he died. WTF?

hello all.. just some friendly subconscious ramblings from your resident crazyman..
Some think that lucid dreams and nightmares takes place on the same plane of existence.. the 5th density. This realm is polarized in light and dark, the dark vibrations being much more dense then the light.. it is literally a place of purely spiritual energy (non-matter), any images being 'holograms' or projections of light.

Instant karma is also in effect. As well as the standard physics of spiritual densities.. thought is manifested instantly and this is also where instant karma comes into play.. always remember that there is a balance to everything. Consider dreams in the 5th density to be practice for when you actually live there. If you manifest a gun and shoot someone in the head, you will feel the exchange of karmic energy then and there. Reality is all what you make it by your thoughts and actions. In that plane.. that fact is multiplied.

The main influence on your orientation in this dimension (light or dark) resides in your center, and whether you are centered in love or fear. Nightmares would be when you are consumed by fear, or avoid it, and so it chases you and haunts you. The ideal way to handle any 'freaky' situation in a nightmare is to center yourself in the vibration of love, for all things.. love being the polar opposite of fear, dissolves it away just as light penetrates the darkness. The 5th density beings reside in either one of these two polarities, the dark ones feed on your fears or the light ones spread the love.

Center yourself in love and light, and you can face any demon, any fear.

Succumbing to fear and darkness is one path, but not my preferred method.. so I advocate transcending it with love and light.

And remember, you are always your best dream interpreter. Your dreams reflect your life and your reality. Look at the symbols, the intent, the meaning, the people, the colors, the surroundings, the feelings, the images.. everything is connected.

That plus a few other things has me feeling confused lately about things

i thought the people in your dreams were fantasy? everything is totally made up by you? so how does instant karma come into play?

does this mean i have alot of karma comming my way for killing a giant half human baby with a lizard head? or fighting a ninja and impaling him with a broom stick?

ive even had dreams where i was being attacked then all of a sudden all of these karate guys would manifest and would kill them for me.

when you killed the giant half human baby with a lizard head the bad karma would have been instantly present, wouldn't it? this means the karma was manifested and passed during the same dream. sooo ... no bad giant half human baby with a lizard head karma for you, my friend  it's all taken care of ... by you.

peace

That has happened to me now 3 or 4 times. It's really an interested experience. It's really like you just open your eyes, you see something, but you still realize you're just laying in bed with your eyes shut. I like when it happens, the feeling i get in my body reminds me of tripping.

My last batch of lucid dreams are getting REALLY lucid and vivid. I've never even tripped with such clarity, it's 100% as if my entire mind is simply focused inward instead of outward, and my senses turned inside as well. It's not hazy or unclear about what's going on AT ALL, which is a big step for me when it comes to dreams. Hope all of your dreamings are going well!

I find it QUITE amusing that everyone thinks Super is female. I saw another thread where someone thought he was a she. Sorry to burst your bubble.
But yes, I totally agree with what you are saying. Super is a very dear friend of mine who has the heart of 1000 men. From the very first time I ever met him years ago, I could and still do feel his radiant energy. I can safely say that he is by far one of the most devine individuals I have and ever will meet.

In keeping with the dream topic, I was tripping with a friend of mine who had never tried mushrooms before a couple of days ago.
I started feeling the beginning effects not long after we dosed. I've tripped plenty of times now so I have a good feel for them. About an hour or two later she still didn't think she could feel them but as we were talking, I could tell that they were afecting her. We got into the deepest convorsations disecting eachother's dreams, fantacies, sexual pleasures, and so on.

I found the similatities and differences in our dreams very interesting. before I fall asleep, I will form thought paterns that turn into a situation that I can control at will or sit back and watch as if in third person. I usually wake up several times and continue where I left off and eventually forget what I was dreaming and become "dead." This is where my mind
goes blank and I never remember whats going on in this period of time. When I wake up in the morning I almost never remember even a single thought that went on in my head unless it was really touching.
Unlike me, she falls asleep very quickly. She claims she goes to bed with an empty mind and stays in the "dead" state most of the night
except for a couple of moments where she'll wake up all of a sudden throughout the night;
but almost always remembers something when she wakes up.
I don't understand that. It seems mixed up or backwards to me.
I'm guessing that the "dead" state is r.e.m. sleep (rapid eye movements) A catscan will show that this is the most active time for the brain focusing mostly on the middle to back right side.
What I'm wondering is... Only 5% of the entire world is left-handed. (I happen to be one of those)
Could this determine a difference in a stronger right and left brain? If so,...would this determine a different result in a catscan durring r.e.m. sleep inturn making a big difference in the dreams of left and right brain thinkers?

i dreamt that i had to look after this radiator, i could take the thing around with me, but everyone kept trying to turn it down, or off. it did my head in, i had to keep turning it back up and watching out for people everywhere, and people would like start acting normal around me and start to talk and that, and then they'd suddenly try to grab for it, so i started standing back from people and speaking in a louder voice so i could keep a proper eye on them. thats it !

reading this thread of fun and eerie at the same time. It's like peeking into the mass subconscious, standing on the subtle soft dark of that thin line that separates dream and reality.
I am also left handed.

Quote:

What I'm wondering is... Only 5% of the entire world is left-handed. (I happen to be one of those)
Could this determine a difference in a stronger right and left brain? If so,...would this determine a different result in a catscan durring r.e.m. sleep inturn making a big difference in the dreams of left and right brain thinkers?

I would tend to think so, but I may be biased as everyone in my band is left handed . That's a freak coincidence if I've heard of one.

anyway.. keep on with the posting of the dreams.. because dreams are our subconscious memories, and as we share them and explore them we begin to see parallels in our dreamtime and realities and it is wonderful.

i had a bizzaro dream last nite that i was standing in kitchen with my parents. i was around 10 years old again. i was looking through our backdoor and everything seemed to be okay. i could see cars driving around and people in their backyard doing shit, normal everyday shit. then i looked up at the sky and there was this MASSIVE pink brain floating high up, the brain had this train whistle connected to it. everyone else seemed to not even notice it floating up there. then the whistle let out this loud "TOOOT TOOOOOT" (lol) and then time starting reversing. like i was getting even younger, turning into a toddler and grown up adults were turning into teenagers and so on. every so often this brain whistle would let out another "TOOOT TOOOOOOOOT" and then adults who turned into teenagers would turn into kids and i kids turned into babies and babies turned into nothing.
the end.

This is a very important thread. For a number of reasons.

For starters, everything is speeding up, people?s dreams become more lucid, we all know this from ever increasing reports on the board.

Then theres this matter of personal connections. Some you know as friends. But thats not all, upon examining certain member?s unique personal vibrations  i discovered that i know these individuals from various periods in my current and past lives.

We should post all unusual dreams here, it might not be apparent but your dream might just be connected to others here. I'm starting to notice this "collective S&P consciousness" rapidly developing

Everyone seems to describe their dreams in physical terms.

theres several types of dreams i have.

In one particular type i feel very strange unreal emotions. The dream itself is some wierd set and settings but i think this physical set is not important, but more it acts like a 3d cover to the real thing

These emotions are like deep long forgotten traumas, forgotten in my mind in this life but still kept in my heart. Very strange, i can not describe them any better but i can only assume that there is some activity on the spiritual level that my mind trys to manifests in 3d set to match it as best as it can

don't eat for 3 or 4 hours before bedtime. Go to bed hoping for a lucid dream, but not demanding one either.

that thing about eating works wonders. Dont eat before bed time if you want LD.

Any chemical aid will only be temporary. Don't bother with pot and teas. I remember one guy told me that if you eat like a lot of bananas before sleep you will LD like mad, thats true to some extent but once again its unstable and temporary.

There is no need for any herbs/pills. Everything will happen naturally and will continue to become more frequent and powerful as time goes by.

But not eating before sleep is possibly one of the best LD tips.

i wonder why my dreams are always in 3rd person view kinda. like im some invisible camera hovering around my body and im just watching shit go on. i have 0 control. their like movies.

anyway i had about 4 retarted dreams just b4 when i went for a nap.

#1. i walked into the bathroom and i grabbed my bottle of hair gel. i squeezed a small amount into my hands and my sister ran in and said "DONT PUT FOOD IN YOUR HAIR!" and i got confused and said "but its hair gel" and she said "yeah people eat that stuff, you know like hand cream and shampoo, they eat that stuff and get heaps high" and i was like "what the hell, no they dont"
the end.

2#. i was skating down my road on an axe, Yes an axe.
(i probably dreamt this because i had to buy an axe from the hardware 2 days ago) but i dont know why i was skateboarding the axe)

3#. this one freaked me out a bit.
i woke up (still dreaming) and walked out of my room cos i could hear my family making alot of noise. the house was pretty dark. i walked into the loungeroom and i saw my sister meditating about 3 metres off the ground. so naturally i was like "what the fuck". i left the loungeroom and walked a bit down the hall way. theres a room at the end of the hallway and there was heaps of blue light comming from it. so i slowly walked towards it and peeped in and there was this huge blue swirling portal and my mum was standing infront of it. but she looked so different. like a evil sorceress, big orange hair, glowing eyes, a black robe. then she said "wait here you cant come with me" i said "ok" then she dissapeared in it. WIERD

#4. again this dream weirded me out a fair bit.
i woke up in bed (still dreaming, i think, i really dont know rite now) becase someone was tapping me on my head, very lightly. as if he was trying to wake me up very gently so i wouldnt freak out. i managed to raise my head a little and i saw this persons legs, he/she was wearing blue jeans and black shoes. i tried pushing my self up with my arms but my body felt like it weighed 200kg and i just couldnt do it. he tapped me on my head again, i tried my hardest again to lift myself up but couldnt. i gave up and went back to sleep.
the end.

Hello [Re: sh0e]
    #3111701 - 09/09/04 12:55 AM (15 years, 10 months ago)

well I'm new but I've got one thats been nagging at me (still sends chills down my spine) first a bit of background I have had some pretty scary dreams (not as in I was scared but it fits the typical horror) if you have read H.P Lovecraft you'll know what I'm talking about I'm in some weird city/building that bairly makes fits logical understanding of angles and matirals ect. and there are "Things" just out of sight but all around as something big comes towards me slowly but evenitably made up of morphic slimy flesh (like some squid or eel) in those dreams I am not afriad but wait for what ever to reach me so I might confront or leave it be. But in this dream I was in a forest on the edge of some property with a large Mansion styl building but as I stand in the woods something begins to move to me from farther out in the trees nothing big maby 4-5 feet tall and dark in shape and form (it is distinc though in shape with arms and legs well formed) but suddnly I'm filled with Terror not Fear but Deep down soul clutching terror (even typing this is sending goose bumps and shivers and it was well over a week ago) so I begin to move towards the building (seeking safety?) as I reach the open grass of the lawn it reaches the edge of the tree line (no more then 100 yards behind me now) and I break into a full run untill I finnaly reach the door to find it locked now I "FEEL" it behind me but it has stoped at the edge of the front porch like area so I turn (my hand are really shakeing now and my dogs are barking LOL wish this was part of the dream and not real life) and the "THING" I see clearly but it's been wiped from my mind (thankfully I think) and that was it I turned saw it fully and woke up with a feeling of true dread I haven't known as far back as I can rember......now I've had some scary dreams don't get me wrong again back to the refrence from earlier many of my dreams have been very much like a H.P. Lovecraft story or worse (and I mean Lovecraft not some of the latter writers that worked off of his ideas and brought about the Cuthulhu Mythos)
any Ideas esp. as to why this thing would scare me so bad as to wipe its face from my mind. I am good at rembering dreams and I KNOW I saw it's face but every time I think about it or try to recall I get shivers down my spine and......other stuff. Thanks

ElfWizard, that feeling of dread you are talking about. Is it in any way familiar to you? like you know that you felt it before? If yes then it's shadows of your own past life actions.

I had an interesting vision last night. I was dreaming that i woke up in my room, normally there is this beautiful big tree i can see from my window, but when i woke up i saw white flowers covering its branches, mostly on top, as if it's just started flowering and there is more to come. Interestingly it brought feelings of relief...

Thats just the thing that made this so strange nothing has filled me with such dread. all though I would belive it might be tied to a past life I've gotten the impression I had a rather dark past life somewhere which still haunts this one. what I really want I think is to know what it was so I can deal with it and move past and not leave it to huant me further. or my family as I typed my dogs did start barking at nothing I could see which was strange my dog does not bark often and even then it's one or two barks and my son woke up as I finnished the post crying about a face in the window. Basicly I want to know if it is "something" or just my fears given form. and thanks for the reply

Trust me you don't need to know what you did wrong in your past life in order to deal with it.

In fact whatever you did in the past life is not related to YOU in this life. There is this broken bit of your soul that trys to reach you through this fealing of dread, perhaps.

But anyway, even if you do find out what past life you had its not going to help you in this life time at all, but possibly worsen your situation with guilt, false guilt i must say since its not YOU who has done those things but some guy who is long dead.

"Trust me you don't need to know what you did wrong in your past life in order to deal with it."

Your past lives are what make you...you. (when I say "you" I mean your basic self.) what lessons you didn't learn in your past life is the reason you are here today. I beleive that your past lives are very different from the one you are living today. It's just another angle on the world to get a better view. There is a lesson to be learned from everything.

"In fact whatever you did in the past life is not related to YOU in this life. There is this broken bit of your soul that trys to reach you through this fealing of dread, perhaps."

I don't agree. I beleive that every form of life that came before me is a part of me. Thats where I came from. Thats like saying your family isn't a part of you.

"But anyway, even if you do find out what past life you had its not going to help you in this life time at all, but possibly worsen your situation with guilt, false guilt i must say since its not YOU who has done those things but some guy who is long dead."

I'm not gonna go there.

These are my beleifs at the moment. I put them together piece by piece every moment of the day and change them every other moment of the day. To be real with you, I don't know. You don't know. We're all in search of something. That something is usually the question "why" or "how" but I am in search for peace and love.
What are you in search of?
Where do you think your journey will end?.

Create a good day.

Back to the dream topic:

Lastnight, I went to bed thinking about some of the things that have been said in this thread. It had made me more aware of my dreams.

I realized that most nights I dream about fighting people. It's uaually a different person every time. And I have this dream atleast 3 times a week or more.

I'd like to hear your views on this. Can anyone relate in some way?

I try not to judge and try my best to have unconditional love for everyone and everything. I treat people the way I'd like to be treated. I am far from selfish but sometimes very selfless. I'm workin on it! But hey, I'm not perfect but I do my best.

Does it sound like I have hate in my soul?

do you have some sort of conflict your dealing with? love money ect.?  could it been a message to stand up for something (not necessary fight but stand against the conflict?) dreams can be just a reflection of what happens to you in the world but more often are a message about something your dealing with will deal with

and none of us are perfect but it take alot to relies this you've taken a step many cant seem to

Everytime I have this dream, I'm protecting one of my friends or something like that. It's not like I'm on a rampage.

I see myself as a protector. I'll stand up and fight if it's needed.
I'd be quicker to stand up for someone else then myself. I enjoy making other people happy and by doing scervice. Thats where I get my happiness. I put a smile on their face and they put a smile on mine.
I know I should find it from within but thats something thats very hard for me.

The last time I got into a fist fight was the first day of 6th grade and I was actually protecting a good friend of mine. To tell ya the truth, someone was talkin bout his mamma! :nutkick:
But the point was that someone my size was pickin on a friend who was kinda small.

Whats interesting is, everytime I dream about fighting, I always use the same style. For instance, I block a punch, grab their hand and move behind them and place my other hand on the back of their sholder and then sometimes threaten them but sometimes I just break their arm by putting preasure on the back of the elbow. I could spend hours lucid dreaming about this move. It's something I truly don't understand. I have no enemies.

sounds like a somewhat passive fight just my opinion but you might be telling yourself to look inward stand up for yourself
"I'd be quicker to stand up for someone else then myself"
"I enjoy making other people happy and by doing service. Thats where I get my happiness. I put a smile on their face and they put a smile on mine."
try working on being happy all by yourself you need to be happy with yourself. it sounds like your looking outside for most everything your causes your happiness your fufillment. Helping others is important and I'm glad to hear your doing so much for others but you can't truly help others until you can help yourself. If a farmer feels joy in giveing the food he grows to the starving he is helping but if he gives all his food he will find himself starving next to those he wished to help, and how can a starving man work the fields and plant the food for next year. So in the long run he ends up hurting those he wished to help by not being able to give next year. a little bit of self helps. I may be missing the point myself and this is only my opinion but it just sounds like from your post that the person you need to stand up for is yourself you need to be happy with you and not look to outside sources for fufillment.

I see your point. I left out a few important points though. First of all, I'm a passive person; your right about that. I am happy with myself at the moment. I'm probably happier than I ever have been. See, I used to be a total and complete drug addict. I dropped out of school because school got in the way of getting high. I've sold them. I've lost all trust from my family because I stole from them for drug money. I lost my liscense and got put on probation in 2 counties...and sooo much more. At a point in my life I lived in an empty coldasac in my truck. Stole everywhere I went and lost friends because i'd rip everyone off. I used to be the most selfish piece of shit ever.

After a period in jail I realized my wrongs and decided to make a change. I've become a totally different person. I've quit all drugs except some mushies every once in a while. I eat healthy, work out, got my GED, i start college in 2 weeks to get a masters in automotive technology so i can design cars. I am happy with myself now. but i'm still getting over it all. i mean, 5 months ago i couldn't imagine a day or even a moment where i wasn't high. lastnight i was at a friends house and i rolled him a nice fat ass blunt and had no desire to smoke it. (rolling blunts is an art to me). I've make a 180 turnaround on my outlook in life but at the same time, i don't regret one damn bit of it.
If I was from a rich family and had everything handed to me, I'd be so blind to the real world. I feel like seeing the world from the depths of hell has really braudened my prospective because one day when I have a secessful career doing something I love to do, I'll be  able to look back and remember sleeping in the bed of my pickup truck everynight, rain or shine. To know that I started from the bottom and worked my way up without shit handed to me will be the best part of it. you know what i mean?
the problem is, I'm an Aries. I want what I want now. I have no patience. Everything is finally coming together for me and I've grown so much that I'm proud of who I am and where I come from.

But besides just being happy with how much I've changed, I am more concerned in making a difference in the world. You know, I used to think about suicide alot. every single day. I truly hated myself. One day I had a vision.
My background involves a VERY abusive father in more ways than one. He died when i was 8.
But this vision that i had started out as me going through tough times in my life and then becoming a dad. I was the best dad the i could ever imagine. I wanted to give my son everything i never had. and then one day i was a grandpa. a very loving joyful grandpa who loved his grand son very much.

This has never left my memory because i truly feel that i saw my future flash before my eyes. This is what i'm on earth living for today. peace and love. To make it a better place.

I strongly feel that the reason i enjoy showing other people love is because i have never received enough. And losing my father plays a big role there.

but I still can't find an answer as to why I dream about fighting people so much. I've done it for years now.

One of the first fighting dreams a few years ago was where I was in a class room and a man walked in with a gun and everyone was scared but I stood up to him. I didn't care if I lost my life because I was fighting for a good cause. thats just the way i am. if someone pulls a gun out (which has happened to me before) I'm not going to run off and hide, I'll stand up. for what Is right and what I beleive in. I have a very strong basic self and see myself as a warrior fighting for peace.

Last night i had a spectacular start to a lucid dream!

In the middle of a night i lie awake and calm. Thats when i remember my 3rd eye kicked into action. I saw a small white sphere in the centre of my dark mindscape. In this sphere i saw details of physical surroundings. So i 'willed' this sphere to expand and fill all of my mindscape, it happened very easlily and i saw my old flat and i was siting by this window on the 6th floor. I felt facinated with the whole process and proceeded observing what was going on, i rememebr sitting there for a while, people walking below me. Then i lost my concentration and forgot it was a dream, and sort of went along on autopilot.

Its amazing how in waking state im so looking forward to LD with a 'things to do' list in my mind and when im there i was pre-occupied with staying in dream state that i forgot it was a dream in the first place!

fungis_eata

I think i know whats your problem, dont play cowboys

You said it there yourself, if you lost your life that moment - pha like a paugh of smoke so what. Thats your attitide, think about it.

Then you said 'everyone was shit scared but me' yes every one else values their life and feels naturally frightened for it but you.

Now im only trying to help so if you dont agree thats fine

Another thing, you seem to belive that the world is a war zone

Repeat after me:

THE WORLD IS A SAFE PLACE
THE WORLD IS A SAFE PLACE
THE WORLD IS A SAFE PLACE
THE WORLD IS A SAFE PLACE
THE WORLD IS A SAFE PLACE
THE WORLD IS A SAFE PLACE
THE WORLD IS A SAFE PLACE

Next time instead of wacking the shit out of each other dream of an open field where your picking lillies and handing them out to strangers.

  :crazy2:       :tongue2: :sun: :rasta:

I can understand where your coming from. But think about it like this:
If someone walks into a room with 50 people and starts shooting, would you hide behind someone else and wait for your turn to get shot and die as a coward? or would you give it your best to take him out and possibly save 50 lives.

I don't have a death wish; but I have a wish to save lives and make my surroundings a posative environment.

I personally would rather die happy knowing that I did my best, than die with regrets saying I could have, should have, and would have done this.
Wouldn't you?

Oh yea..."you seem to beleive the world is a war zone"

Well, yes. I do. Whats going on in Isreal, Afghanistan, korea, saudia arabia, and quate? Whats going on in our own country? planes crashing into buildings, bombs, shootings, rapings, kidnappings, robbing, not to mention the drug war...Yes the world that we live in today is a war zone. I don't know where you live, but when I leave my house or car I have to lock my doors.

We're so off topic and I have a liking to this thread so if we can, lets show some respect and try to keep with the dream topic. If you're still interested in my insight on life as we don't know it, let me know and we'll talk elsewhere.

A strange dream that I had almost ten years ago.

I was at the veranda of my grandparents summer house and I saw mt grandfather coming with his gardening tools and suddenly he dissapeared into the horizon. Then my grandmother came, smiled at me, and see dissapeared too into the horizon.
----6 months later my grandfather died. 3 months after that, my grandmother died.----

Also, about 14 years ago when I was sleeping in my bed and my other grandfather had died almost 5 months before that, I woke up to see him shake me with his hands firmly grabbing the top of my pyjamas and saying: "I am not dead!!! I'm alive! I'm alive!!!!!" and I could only see his face and all else was kind of...white....and then he dissapeared. And this, was definately NOT a dream. I was shaken physically.

But there you go, these are 2 of my stories...

Well, yes. I do. Whats going on in Isreal, Afghanistan,...

Hold it right there, you said it yourself. Its a very common mental dis alligment in the mental institutions. Trust me it is very common, in one form or another. Remember K-Pax, there was this woman that refused to eat because she thought she didn't deserve it since so many people are hungry!

Or how charities broadcast images of skinned to bone children in africa, influencing viewers to feel guilt. I was staying with a guy from Africa, i think Nigeria, couple of weeks back, when we brought up this subject to him he laughed his ass off because its so over exaggerated and not like they say in TV ads.
Thats what it really is in your condition - over exaggeration.

In the middle earth  these things happen. Its part of life.
Its very easy to slip down that road, even if you can't rationally understand it do your very own self a favour, don't let it bother you.

If you own any guns knifes machetes ammo explosives go and chuck it into garbage crusher, don't think just do it. You'll feel like a whole mountain is off your shoulders

Well I guess you COULD be somewhat right because you said "in one form or another." The reason It took so long to post back is because I was giving it some serious thought. I didn't want to come on here and be all defensive. I know your not on offence, so why would I? I see your point from where your coming from. The K-Pax thing... I'd conciter that to be too extreme also. But I see no problem or illness in being aware of your surroundings and taking care of them. I don't leave myself out so I can help the world. If I don't need anything then I would, but in most cases I tend to care for myself first, as most people do. So maybe I fell into the same catagory n a much smaller level. Who knows.

Good on you mate

the bottom line is you can continue survival games and strugles or you can concentrate on the finer things life has to offer. Its up to you what you prefer, but at the end of the day option 1 means agony while option 2 is simply fun. Take it easy Jon.

Well the way I see it is that the "finer things in life" aren't so fine without the survival games and strugles.
Make scence?

When i first was using melatonin to sleep i had some of the best dreams ever.

My first one i was in a huge villa me and my older brother (20) and it was like i was in an action movie i had mad guns and so did my bro. We were shooting up the typical spanish/mexican or possibly columbian minorities. I had no clue why we were fighting but it was fun as hell. We went out the window after i hooked up a rope with a big rock on one end to slow the fall. There were big guard dogs, the black ones with pointy ears, all over with guards. That was cool

Two of the best dream's i had which was in the same week or so from the other was i was walking through the woods, the terrain was altered though like at a campsite with roads with ditches. I crosed a road and came appon a large lean to, like the onces common at boyscout camps. It was huge, about 100'x75' deep and the best part it was organized in a grid pattern with 3' square patches of shrooms everywhere. It was clearly a grow. Then a ton of people come and start picking em. I bought 2 large perfect fruits with unbroken viels for $10 and i walked away a happy camper.

The second shroom picking one i was walking allong a path and saw a mushroom went over to look at it and found it wasnt active but still cool. Then i look back to the trail and theres two kids there and there going shroom picking so i go with them. Its dark and lightly raining and we start picking shrooms. I filled my backpack and its time to go but then somehting happens with the bag, i left it somewhere. I find it go home only to open it and find nothing.

i stopped smoking pot so much and am having some very wierd dreams.

I had one were i was in the special ed program in school with my friends, only it was like a jail with bars so we couldn't get out. I had to wear an orange uniform that said 'retard' on the front of it. Every once in a while they would let us out to ride our bikes and i used to always think" o man, i think they drugged us"

and then theres thee occasional family member dying dreams.
analyze me dreams please.

A couple of weeks ago my friend told me to take some vitamin B6 right before I go to sleep. I tried this and ever since I have had dreams of all sorts. I suggest you take 150 mg (ussually 3 pills) of B6 10-15 mins. before you go to sleep. Dont take too much or you will wake up about an hour later and find that your hands and feet are completely numb. The B6 is supposed to speed up red blood cell formation and also helps convert food into energy for you body. Im not exactly sure how this effects your dreams but trust me it works. If anyone does know how this effects your dreams please respond.

I've taken xanax the past few nights and don't really know what the hell goes on in my head while I've been asleep. I've just been "dead" and passed the fuck out.

Alright guys I got off work earlier and took a nap for a couple of hours. I just woke up from an AWSOME dream.

I was driving down the road and all of a sudden I came to ...(I don't know how to put this.) There were a bunch of boxes in the middle of the road and there was a huge crew of people bringing them up a ramp and into a building which ended up turning into a factor/nice elagant home. I figured I wasn't going to be able to continue my drive for a while so I picked up a box and went inside. I met a very beautiful woman of about my age that was the head of the company. She told me that it was a company so that people without jobs could have , well, a job. I thought that was such a great idea.
We sat on a couch and as we continued talking we had such chemestry. We both had a smile on our faces and were kind of leaning toward eachother. She told me she couldn't pay me for bringing in the box today and right away I said," It's ok, I'll just come over again sometime." (because of her, not the money.)
I got up and walked off to get a beer and ran into a very cute girl. Right away I said, "I recognize you from Home Depot!" she said she also recognized me. We started kissing verry pationatly and started rolling on the ground. All of a sudden there was a movie theatre in the middle of the room that we were in and we started rolling laughing all the way down the stairs, not giving a fuck what anyone else thought. We were happy.
I woke up as My head hit the floor of the last step

After I woke up, I realized that this girl is a friend of a friend's who I really did have good chemestry with but havn't seen her in a few months. Her name was also missing in the dream but I KNOW her name.

What an awsome dream!

I just realized that almost all of my significant dreams start off with me driving down the road when I come to something. hummm...

crazy dream during a nap I took today

I was driving this car, all of a sudden I went onto this huge bridge shooting straight into the sky.. speedily I soared up the road, fear and excitement rushing through me.. I looked down to the river below, hundreds of feet below as I drove higher on this seemingly endless bridge.. I asked this girl( a long time friend) who was the passenger to take the wheel cause I thought I was goona loose it from all the fear of driving so fast way up high, a phone call interupted the dream and I remember the sensations clearly.. I FELT like I was flying at 100 mph up this road, and I could never turn back...

good insight it was : )

When you dream someone is dying, it is said to mean not death, but change (the same as the tarot card "Death"). So if you dream a family member dies, it means there has been (or you are anticipating) a change in your relationship with that family member.

a dream I once had

I was holding a woman in my arms one of my knees was bent, she was pregnant and about to give birth, in the corner of the room satan was there, screaming at me and the women, screaming to stop, I was trying to deliver her baby, then satan disapeared and I felt scratching at my back, scratching and scratching ... then I woke up...

another dream I had I wrote a poem about it this is the poem :

hree babies
as warm as their
afterbirth

in the arms
of a nameless
lady

the quite
not broken between
her and I

until she beckoned me
to lighten
her burden

a babe
in arms
I did take

the babe testyfied
that the one who can only lie
had arrived

'the one you call satan
is here, now'

I am to repeat the testemony
To prophicise
The vision
I had that night

The origin of sin
father of lies
culmination of evil
of all passing time

is here now
is here now
is here now

out of the mouth of babes
that were before my very eyes
did I hear the word of god
that I know phropicise

strangest thing is I'm not even christian, I dont know if there is a god or a devil

I've been having many dreams lately, and I might use this topic as a dream log.

Dream 1/2 (10/4/04) [brief vague recollection]:
I was sitting at some table with a few people. There was a homeless maybe slightly autistic black man asking for some change for food, I think maybe we were in some cafeteria somewhere. A middle aged man held out a few quarters in his hand and offered them, but when the homeless mant went to take them the middle aged man's hand closed and he insisted on teasing him with it. A childish struggle began with the two and I remember everyone was laughing at the situation and the homeless man started crying, which is when the laughter got more intense. I sat there just watching, and I also seen a quiet young adult (maybe 20) with a small build looking down obviously disturbed by all this. Suddenly, it all became unbearable to him, so he jumped up started screaming "Stop it!" for a very long time and shaking around violently and crying as if he had reached a mental breaking point and permanently snapped (he COULDNT stop convulsing, crying, or shouting). Then I think I woke up.

Dream 2/2 [fragment]
I am swimming in some huge open brick walled room with 2 of my friends. Hard to describe, really. It was almost like a man-made cave as there were rocks inside the room and turns, yet the room was very open and vast. Sunlight came in from somewhere because everything had a golden glow. We were heading towards a very distant shore, and I swam underwater. The water was super clear and when I swam down I seen the room was flooded extremely high, perhaps as much as 1,000 feet. At the bottom floor I could see stone ruins statues, collumns, and an upside-down "U" shaped door leading somewhere (but this all was submerged). I then somewhat panicked because I was afraid of such a depth...imagine swimming out in the middle of the ocean where THOUSANDS of feet are below you; to me thats quite frightening. Well anyway, suddenly this girl that I know is in the room that steps lead to (which were on the shore to where we were headed towards). I didnt see her as much feel her presence. After that I just remember swimming for a long time seeing ruins and statues everywhere, and I woke up.

Interpretations:
Dream 1:
I know what this meant to my subconcious. I felt very hopeless last night, as if swallowed by the negativity of human nature. People will always pre-judge and be rude amongst one another, it is simply the way things are. The black man wanted some change, but at the same time people needed to laugh so the man made them laugh through ignorance and humiliation. He could not see the despair in the homeless mans eyes nor the pain of the young man trying to ignore the ignorance. The young man symbolized my feelings as I wanted to explode and make everyone just stop and put away such primitive thought patterns, but like the young man I feel somewhat out of step with everyone else.

Dream 2:
I have no idea. It was a very old temple maybe, which flooded, and everything was destroyed but the sunlight still made it all look very beautiful. The girl that I felt in my dream, I believe is my twin flame yet I met her a bit early in life so I think we will be walking very different paths. I have no idea what this dream meant. It inspired many emotions from me. Awe, fear, love, discovery.

Anyway, my dreams are open to anyones interpretation, so if you have any comments I'd be more than happy to read.

Peace.

For fecks sake, this is what im on about, dream 1.

Its like life is hard enough already without some asshole humiliating you to entertain his mates.

Moral? The suffering person in question needs to learn to take things lightly! One must learn to maintain his emotional AND mental state without a take on outside circomstances.

Me working at the bar today: person buys me a drink, i'm glad but i dont try to kiss the persons ass as a way of showing thanks

Me at the end of the shift, boss can i have a drink? Boss: no, you start another shift in 6 hours - you cant drink between shifts

for a moment i felt a fire brewing deep inside...
but then, no big deal, i'm not gonna break down and cry, althought there WERE times when i would, NOT ANY FUCKING MORE MR MANAGER. I love myself

I have had this one recurring dream that is somewhat disturbing.I had less than a week ago and have had it several times before where for no reason I notice one of my teeth is loose. It starts wiggling and falls out. Then another one falls out. Then I spit a whole cluster of teeth out into my palm and am like wtf.I start freaking out trying to contact a dentist so he can pop my teeth back in, but I have no luck and I am left toothless.

My one friend said it is caused by stress and it is like my inability to cope with stress. Whereas my other friend actually found this dream in a book and said its supposed to foreshadow someone dying in my life whether it be me or someone else. I dunno about it but it weirds me out.

So, I went on a walk with two friends to a house that we were all going to move into. On the way, we were distracted by a field full of people sitting down in groups of about 4 people. Somehow, I intuitively knew that this was the site of a battle between Bush and Kerry supporters. A real battle, with machine guns. There were to be a series of these battles, with the party with most supporters left alive winning the "election". How strange, especially since I live, and the dream was set, in the UK.

So, we decided that we should join in and fight for Kerry. Somehow we had guns, I don't know where they came from. No-one was wearing uniform so we sorta guessed which were Bush and which were Kerry supporters, and shot them. We took out a good few Bush supporters, and probably a good few Kerry supporters. We then went and sat back down, to be told that the Bush camp had won. It was so strange the way it was a battle, and yet everyone was just lying around on the grass, smoking spliffs and things, occasionally firing off a few shots. Anyway, fearing for our lives, we legged it past the crowds of Bush supporters, firing rounds into them. There were no bodies around, no-one seemed to have died, just gone away.

Then we went back to the new house we were going to move into and drank a beer and smoked a fat joint.

Whoah!

I get this dream too, all the time. It probably happens once every week or two. It actually tends to get me into a lucid dream, because every time it happens it's just like "oh, my teeth have fallen out again. Must be a dream."

I doubt its caused by stress, I probably have the most stress-free daily routine known to man.

Ok this was one of the dreams I remember from last night

Somehow I came across a pound of brick weed. I found a dealer and he wanted to trade it for an ounce of the finest cocaine.. Now, I have NEVER snorted coke, but here in my dream I found myself snorting it like a pro, I felt the feeling like I actually had a memory of it.. I kept walking around and doing stuff, stopping to snort some more coke every now and then, it was actually a pretty good dream..... what does it mean, am I predestined to become a coke fiend? I am already having psychical withdrawal symptoms even though it was my ASTRAL body who is the coke fiend... is this metaphysically possible? : (

dude! that is one of my "triggers" to...
"oh, my teeth have fallen out again. Must be a dream."

weird..

i have a porcelain tooth though, so i "lost it twice" not dreaming, (or awake/what ever).. maybe a connection there..

Sub note (off topic):i also focused on growing a new tooth (where i smashed the one replaced whit porcelain ATM) just to amaze my dentist and see what limits my body got :P I'm thinking, hey i lost my tooth once, and got new, why not again? heck my dad even got a milkthooth still, and he is 40 something :P maybe this "dream type we are sharing" is to tell us humans we nead not worry about Thoth's and they always will grow back if we set our mind to it :P

sub sub note: funny when you loose one tooth and when you are to put it back in, it just don't fit any way you twist and turn :P

I had the weirdest dream last night:

I was discussing what I had found on the net with a couple at Wal-mart and I suggested that the enlightenment sought for by treppaners was a similar goal and means as those who self-inflict wounds in order to gain insight or favor. self-mortification as a means of currying favor.

I don't know if that is stress related. I think it has something to do with communication. Your mouth is your key tool in communicating (and your eyes), but your mouth is falling apart so to speak... maybe you're not telling someone all that they need to know?

I think that dreams may have some sort of meaning but I also think that any attempt to find it is likely to fail.

I can hardly remember my dreams anymore. I feel like I do not dream, except somewhere in my day I can sometimes trigger my subconscious to remember.

Anyways, last night I had a dream that I remember quite clear.

I won the lottery, right when I found out, i looked into the sky and saw a shooting star. WOW! I then made a wish for humanity to come to peace with eachother, and have heaven dawn on earth...next thing I knew I was flying around with my girlfriend with the most intense sensual feeling i have ever felt, watching as the whole world just started running perfectly. That was last night, and today i bought 10 quick picks! woooo wooooo

Must have been a crazy dream

My very amateur interpretation (and my first ever) would be that this is symbolizing some guilt you feel towards your sister, or a burden that has been placed on you related to her. Either, it was not your fault (the girl) but you were blamed, or that it was your fault and you are looking for someone else to blame.

Very crappy interpretation. Probably doesn't work for you at all . The best interpretations are the ones you make - as you understand your subconscious as well as past events the best

Ok, I've thought about sharing this dream for some time, but haven't. Here goes.

Once upon a time, I was entering the 4th grade. That year, while on the bus, I related a dream to my best friend and next door neighbor -- M,T.

M.T. was a close friend, and I, being the good Christian that I was raised to be, set out on a crusade to save all my friends. MT was my first target.

So that paragraph sets the stage for what is to happen. Despite how sinister it sounds, the mission was not like the Crusades. It was a sincere effort to share religion and spread salvation. I had pure intentions at that age, knowing only one reality.

So I am sharing church and Bible with MT for a few years, and one night I have a dream. All this build up was to explain why I only shared this dream once, and why to provide a context for it.

Well, in this dream, I was in my room during the day, enjoying my life. In an instant, I heard a trumpet. These trumpets immediately made me think of the trumpets soundin during the rapture. As a fundamentalist christian at the time, I knew exactly what was going on.

I ran outside and saw Jesus in the air. I immediately felt his presence. This is where the dream gets weird. I was 9 years old at the time, and I had never done any drugs.

I immediately felt a feeling of ecstacy. I was in the presence of the Lord, this was what heaven was all about. The feeling was like an immense euphoria in my brain. HOwever, it wasn't about my brain, it was me, my spirit, my soul, my emotions and essence, all feeling euphoria.

Later on, about 11 years in fact, I experienced the closest feeling to this dream feeling in my waking life while under the influence of MDMA. A year after that, I rediscovered that nostalgic feeling of childhood coupled with the understanding of my pure being, while on a high dose of psylocibin cubensis.

Hi everyone I'm new here..

I have a strange repeating dream, and I would like your opinion
on what is it, or does it mean anything, or what can cause it, or do anyone else have similar dreams...

Actually it is not the dream that is repeating itself, but one element. I dream normaly, different scenarios, different places and people. But the thing that keeps repeating is floating.
It does not happen every night, but about every 3-4 nights in avarage.

The feeling is so real, sort of like when you are in a pool of watter and start floating. The first time I experienced was a few years ago, but it is more frequent now then it was then.

I remember one specific dream a few months ago was spectacular.
I was in the nightime streets of my neighbourhood and I would
just make thes jumps that were very slow and moonlike. Sort of like walking on moon. At first my fear of height was active and I wouldn't dare to take long jumps, but later on I kept flying higher and higher
and bouncing myself from the walls of bouldings.
The whole time I still felt the subtle fear of height, but the sensation was overwhelming.
It was like in some computer game or something.
And every time I dream it I have that feeling like I have discovered something, and how stupid I was before.

The last time I dreamed this was this morning, I was runing away from someone, but I wasn't afraid of them because I could fly and play around in the air, and nobody could catch me by walking or runing.

And there is another odd thing about it. I reminds me of something.
I can't put my finger on it, but it feels so formiliar and natural.
The closes thing is of course watter, but it's not the same at all.
It looks like walking on moon, but of course I have never experienced low gravity. It's like I've done it before, but I haven't.
And the dream are usually so real and "linear" and I think and act like when I am awake, well exept for the flying thing
