OK so in my dream I had I was fruiting 2 beautiful cakes. One of which already has some good hyphal knotting that I believe should be turning to pins very shortly, the other is just starting to get knots. Now I have a small HEPA fan that blows into it 5 minutes every hour since I'm a very busy man in my dream, but I have to do the light manually... Here's where my dream gets scary... Out of nowhere I have to go eat thanksgiving with the boo's parents who live in another state. I don't think I'm gonna have any time to go get another timer to have the light goin on and off by itself... Am I fucked? Someone please tell me that light is most importantly used to initiate pinning.... I will be gone 3.5 days

I had a similar dream and won't be back until Saturday afternoon.
In my dream I just left it in a room near a window so that it would soak up natural sunlight for at least 7 or so hours per day. I'm pretty sure that would be plenty while you're gone as long as you have a clear SGFC or monotub.
I'm also pretty sure FAE is even slightly more important than light when it comes to pinning/ fruiting. I'd love to hear it from a trusted cultivator though.

Just leave the light on and lol at sir blunt. Or leave the light off. Either prolly will work. That is what my dream I just woke up from told me.

Sir blunt suck it lol.. Everyone else... I'm sure you will all be disappointed in me as I've just totally made my own fc. I've been thinking about making a sgfc maybe sometime soon but the one I have in my dreams works pretty good.

I hope it still works... All I do is mist it and turn the light on and off. And gaze upon my goodies... And talk to them... And cherish them... No but really, I'm not gonna mist them tonight til tomorrow night to see if my humidity stays between 90 and 99 percent rh. Which I think it will, if not I guess I could make some improvements in case this ever happens again. And worst case scenario is I ruined 2 1/4 pint jars which I don't care about anyways and a few of my half pints should be ready to go when I get back <3
By the way I was trying to find what fc tek would be closest to the one I built. But I couldn't find where those are on this site... I have I'd guess a 10-15 gallon not see threw plastic bin with a light and small HEPA fan sealed on the top to bring in fresh air. I leave the lid very slightly propped opposite of the fan to expel ço2. I've got a couple good cakes out of it so far so I must be doing something right, not sure if there is a ten like that already... I will be doing a mono sometime in the future to increase yeilds

You know..if you can somehow develop a trigger and realize you're dreaming whilst inside a dream you can actively control the dream while you're having it. It's called 'lucid dreaming'.
Then you can just make all your mushies grow in a matter of seconds.
