Am I a mild hoarder?

I have a lot of things. My apartment doesn't even come close to what you see on TLC, but I like to hold onto things. Mementos, souvenirs, pictures, trinkets. I'm not sure why I do this, I guess I am just sentimental.
I don't keep ALL my old birthday cards, just the ones that are special. I don't have ALL my old stuffed toys, just a few of the really meaningful ones.
I do really consider things before I throw them out. Can I re-use this old sheet with a hole in it? Maybe I can make pillow cases out of it. Should I really throw out this blue eyeshadow? I might need it for a costume or something. I'm a creative person, so I like to have weird and wonderful things around me.
Lately my sister is calling me a hoarder. I have this super awesome leopard print chair that I love, but everyone else hates it. I think it's fabulous. I got a new couch, I have to re-arrange things, she thinks I should put the leopard print chair on the curb.... BUT I LOVE IT! I don't want to get rid of it.
What if I'm a hoarder? What if I'm a crazy cat lady hoarder?
Maybe I should clean out my closet and donate a bunch of clothes or something and make myself feel better about keeping my gaudy chair.

If you like the chair, then keep it. As long as you can maneuver through your home without having to climb mountain of junk, I think you're fine.

As longs as you don't have this stuff laying around for years or you actually use it I think you're fine. I'd toss out anything that I don't use in over a year or that you don't wanna keep for emotional reasons.

No.
No you are not.
My mother in law has 30 year old plants in her house that are dead, her garage is packed to the cieling, you cant even get into there, and all of her condiment containers and extra jars are saved up all over random places.
If you met her she would stick you in the back of her closet and we wouldn't see you for a decade.
edit, I would post pictures but theyre on my phone and I havn't seen it in weeks

I'm a hoarder in recovery. My motto is if i haven't used it in 20 years then its time to throw it out. I am periodically on a kick to clean out the old junk and make room... for more junk of course. Another rule i have is if i buy something new, i throw away the old. New vacuum cleaner comes in, the old one which still has some use in it, gets given away or if no one wants it, tossed out. I will give away things before throwing away or recycle in some way.
If you hoard a lot of milds you are a mild hoarder.

I used to keep all sort of stuff "just in case". You know, things that are completely useless that you will never ever need.
I got tired one day and threw most of it out. Keeping things "just in case" is some sort of disease IMO. At some point you gotta grab that huge garbage bag and grab everything you haven't used in the last years and toss it.
There's no other way

I got boxes and boxes full of stuff. One day I'll probably have a big sale of some sort or make some cool shit. Been collecting a lot of old junk. Most of it would make a steampunk artist go
A friends dad was such a hoarder he had a throne made from TV guides and a labyrinth of old newspapers it was weird but pretty neat.

i'm the opposite of a hoarder tbh
i just don't find nostalgia to be an interesting or worthwhile emotion.
if a memory is significant and special enough to me then I shouldn't need a photo or souvenir to remember it.
