non bruising Psilocybe?

hi everyone, this is my first post, hehe, although, I grow mushies for sometime now. I'm from Portugal and there isn't any record of any Psilocybe species here, which can be explained by locating the country geographically, BUT this explanation doesn't satisfy me because near(relatively)here, in the "Pirineus"(northeast of Spain) there's a record of a "Psilocybe hispania", which means that in some spots of Portugal with the same conditions in the "Pirineus" Psilocybe growth is possible. So I decided to go seek for the future "Psilocybe lusitania",hehe, I've looked and looked for it until a friend of mines called me and said I must see something in his lawn. I went there and I was amazed with the view: dozens of Psilocybe lookalikes all spread over the grass where a rabbit use to live and shit of course. I was absolutely sure that those were Psilocybes, so I did the first test: with a small blade I bruised the mushy stem and waited, right after that I took a print from a brother of the bruised one.
Conclusions: I'm very confused...first I waited and waited, and know signs of bluish marks of any kind, just the shroom's bruised stem, I'm still trying to get some "metol" to be sure, the second test proved to be a moralizing one, the spores where exactly the color of the "cubensis". I know the pics are very useful here but I want to know if I can hopeful since the cap, stem, spores, smell(hehe), gills and soil matches the Psilocybes.
So does or does not exist Psilocybe species wich aren't bluished when bruised? thank you, transcended hug,:) vasco

I'm unfamiliar with that area of the world in the way of mushrooms...
Luckily, MJshroomer might have some information for you. Wait to see if he will reply.

Since it doesn;t deserve its own thread, here's a question for you MJ:
Is there a kind of psychoactive mushroom that grows near the Oregon coast that would have a cap around 5 inches in diameter? I only ask because a friend found a patch of mushrooms with blue-bruising stems and caps that size.

Gills, I'm pretty sure. He said it looked almost identical to a bag of shrooms he bought from someone who said they picked them on the Washington coast. I'm not sure though, and to clarify, only one cap was that size. He's making a spore print now.

Probably Psilocybe azurescens yet most azure caps are about 2 inches in diameter yet I have seen one close to three inches one time. That would be the only magic species on the coast of Southern Washington or northern Oregon which would be that large if at all possible. mj

I've heard people saying there are Ps. Semilanceata growing in Porto and surroundings but i've never confirmed such story. I've found Panaeolus Subbalteatus and Gymnopilus Spectabilis growing in my town, near Lisbon. In fact, tomorrow i'm going to take some Gym pics, they are up and running Psilocybe hispanica was found by Nacho a couple of years ago but i think they are restricted to the pirenees. A good place to go hunting would be tr?s-os-montes or minho, specially ger?s. About your findings, can you post a pic ? If you can't PM me if you're willing to arrange something.

I think we should meet MAIA, we could make somekind of spore trade: like some Amanita's for some Gymnopilus's...

This morning my dad said to me "mushrooms are almost impossible to grow". I wish i would've known that term "mychorrizal" when he said that so i could've been a smart ass i told him that cubensis grow easily indoors (semi-easily). me and my dad can talk about a lot of shit, including drugs (although he's not too fond of them).

Amanitas are found growing in the ground and usually have a mycorrhizal association with trees. That means you need a tree to grow them, mycorrhizal associations make some species somewhat undomestic and Amanitas are one of them. I don't know about anybody being able to grow Amanitas. Do you know anyone ?
