" What your saying is that going faster than the speed of light is a simple matter of going faster than the speed of light "

Well it all depends on how you define speed, which could be seen easly as the time taken to travel between two points. So if we just folded space and brought thoes two points closer so a 2 lights year gap would only take 1 hour, then in theory this would be faster than light. Oh and warping space is a possability as its used in gravatational lensing also time can just be defined by the warping of space by gravity.

I know what you mean. When I shroom or drop acid I feel a great connectedness, and later a great peace. Knowing what I am here to do and what I'm doing. I relied on that to get me by when it came to thinking about life and death. Then I smoked 5-MeO-DMT... It's a much different trip, at least for me. During my peak my brain was firing so much that the external world was nothing. The universe, me, my existance right here right now, was nothing. 'Shattering' is all I can say about that. So I can totally relate to what Shroomnoob is saying.

In Patanjali's yoga this is called the transcendental state of kaivalya or aloneness.  While we may yes be ultimately alone, as someone once said, that's all one!  Maybe someone already said this, I didn't read the whole thread, though I usuallly do. While we may be all alone, it doesn't mean that we are not all the one source. Only the e :nut:go is alone. All of life on Earth shares the same carbon based existance.

I can look around and see other people wearing pants. I can't look around and see aliens tho.

Its not completely irrational to believe we are alone. Unfortunately if one has no proof of aliens, what else is there to believe? Without any proof, you can only hope that they exist.
