North Korea??s Mushroom Institute has developed a new way of cultivating mushroom, using what the country??s official news agency described as ??domestic animals' excrements??. The institute, which is under Academy of Sciences of North Korea, said the technique made it possible to industrialize the mushroom production. ??Researchers made ferment substances with which they made a nutritive substratum for cultivating active and productive spores,?? the Korean Central News Agency said. This method can be easily introduced anywhere, researchers said. After studying the effects of temperature, humidity and the spawning properties throughout the year, the scientists also came up with new technology for growing any species of mushroom during any season.
