h202 in g2g

thanks to whoever posted the idea of keeping a 1/2 pint jar filled with h202 in the glove box and dipping the spoon in that before each scoop. It was just the right amount and allowed for a 60% success rate which was a big leap from the 0% success had as of late.

I think if you want to do something sterile and you don't have a glowbox you better work in a high table or shelve to avoid flying contaminaters.(english to strict teachers volume :2)That's my method ,anyway, both dealing with sterile methods and english.

Damn flying contaminaters....  hehe

No, honestly -- if you don't want to fuck with gloveboxes, etc., why not use bags and make inoculum with a syringe inside of the bag?  A place isn't sterile just because it's high up -- especially not for something like g2g.

I didn't like the idea of g2g transfers in my apartment, so I worked around it

If the spoon is your problem, why not just cut out the spoon all together??? Beat your fully colonized cake against a tire until its broken up into small kernels. You could then simply dump some spawn into your virgin jars. And since youd have a bunch of little kernels youd have a lot of innoculation points.

Because you use a fully colonized grain jar for g2g it's less sensitive to contamination problems isn't it?I think the problem may occur because of the sterilized grain jar,am I right? Thanks for this thread ,anyway.
