Hypothetical Mycelium Question

I just recently thought of this idea, and I don't know if anyone else has already come up with it, but it seems as though it should work.

I just finished dunking three one pint cakes, and as I was examining the plastic bags they were in I noticed it was abundantly filled with tiny bits of mycelium. Having just used the Poor Man's Syringe Tek only the day before, it got me wondering. Instead of using Karo water and injecting it into fully colonized jars, why not just suck up the water used after the cake has been dunked? As long as you performed all aspects of this under sterile conditions, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Any opinions or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

do you add h202 to your dunking water,if so that would help in minimising any contam risk.

I haven't added any h2o2 to the dunks I've done before but I will in the future.

Id say its a damn fine idea...and cant see why it wouldnt work, although if you are going to be using the syringes at a later date i would fill half the syringe with karo water, then suck the mycellium water up into it and incubate it for like a week so the mycellium grows in the syringe.

I was just thinking, should I not use h2o2 while dunking if I'm going to try this? I don't want to damage the mycelium that's floating in the water.

the h2o2 wont harm the myc,it will just slow it down a little.
