40 Below Summer - Mourning After

Anyone else like 40 below summer? I really loved 'invitation to the dance' its a little harder than the new effort, but I think that 'mourning' really shows better songwriting skills and a better attempt to actually 'sing' by Max.
For anyone that thinks that my last sentance equates into a 'softer' CD, they should think again, there are still the brutal, heavy songs you'd expect from 40 below, but it just seems like a more mature effort.
Any thoughts/comments?

the first cd was cool the second cd I dunno haven't picked it up yet heard a song online and it was decent at best...I think the main reason I have not rushed to pick up their album or even know when it was released is due to their sorry fucking tour with kitty...I mean what the fuck why tour with them lol I'd rather see them tour with britney spears or something atleast at that show there would be some titties to ogle at = (

From what I've heard of them they didn't have anything that really impressed me....they have that nu-metal sound which I have drifted away from.

do you play??? cause part of the reason I think they are cool is because I figured some of their stuff out on my own, and thus its kinda fun to play to, I will say that there is alot of music I like way better , but they have this one song, I dont even remember the name but its SO fun to play to! I remember learning it back when I did a hell of alot of speed one night with some friends(a drug I DO not like at all or use anymore) but wow, quick leaning:) (its pretty simple though)

Yeah, I've been playing guitar for almost 6 years and drums for 5. I do know what you mean though, some bands are just fun to play along to. I remember I used to play along to System of a Downs "Toxicity"(the whole cd, not just the song) to drums all the fucking time. I never even really liked them very much, but that cd was very fun and easy to play along to. I too enjoy figuring out songs for myself on guitar, it makes me feel like I've accomplished so much more, especially if its a hard song.

Tottally the same way here.
I mostly write my own songs, but it is fun to figure out other peoples stuff, which I ALWAYS used to use tab for and more and more these days I can just use my ears!!!
Which feels really good because I feel like the effort is paying off and I have only been playing 2 and a half years so I dont know if its the same for you, but it just get easier and easier.
Its also fun to AD- LIB thats trippy.

they should've stuck with their old style. they sound like another stupid radio rock clone band now. He had one of the most unique screams i've ever heard, using the inhale technique. Ever heard their RAIN ep?
