Lunar Eclipse tonight!
    #2083554 - 11/08/03 09:43 AM (20 years, 4 months ago)

Somebody may have already posted this somewhere...but there is going to be a total lunar eclipse tonight! I think it starts at around 6:30 EST and lasts about 3 hours, the moon is supposed to turn red!

Where can it be seen from?

As far as I know, all of the U.S., Africa and Western Europe--check out space.com for more complete info, there is a bit of text to wade through there, but they eventually tell you where/when it's all going down.

In EST the eclipse starts at 6:32 pm. Toatality begins at 8:06 and ends at 8:31. The moon will move out of our shadow completely at 10:04 pm.

If you are going to go out I suggest doing so around 8:00pm. (it is too damned cold to stare at he moon for three and a half hours)

The UT is 23:32 => 1:06 am november 9th => 1:31 => 3:04 am, for all you europeans.

have fun

from space.com regarding path of earths shadow....

Yes we still have the leonids to look forward to.  And we had all the spectacular auroras recently (that i didn't see because of clouds  :frown:).

Tonight should be amazing, especially with a little bag of magic.  :crazy2:  hehe.  If the sky stays clear the moon will blow many shroomery minds tonight.

have fun

I'm a little worried that all the bright ass lights around me are gonna dim it and shit. I'm also a little worried cause I have no weed to smoke.....but I got like 12g of copes so I'll make do.
