They look good to me so far.  It looks like healthy myc. Cob web is kinda none existent in cakes, and like you said the mean green will take off with it's growth.  Just keep an eye on it.  If the spots you suspect to be mold get darker and spread toss the jars.  If not then birth them once they are ready.

You could spawn them to a mono tub.

P.s. don't use your 1/2 pint narrow mouth jars for future grows.  You wont ever be able to get your cakes out the jars without breaking them up.

No half pint regular mouth jars i.e. narrow mouth.  They are too narrow to get your cakes out of without breaking them up.  All cakes need to be done in wide mouth jars.  The shoulders in regular mouth jars will not allow a cake to slide out.

OP

you could spawn 1:1 in something like a 2cup takeout bowl..
its how I started to learn the concepts of 'bulking'
1/2pt WBR  to  1/2pt coir/verm..
i think this was the 2nd flush..you can pull it off!
:shroomeryhead: we believe in ya!

Willy

Im like

is this jar you speak of not pictured here?

Will just verm work for casing?

Also, I think he's talking about the second jar from the left in the pic. I have some like it but they don't have any change in circumference so I think the would potentially work but so far I like how fast the 1/4 pints colonized and if I end up casing more then there shouldn't be an issue.

Ya I was.  I don't know why I thought they had shoulders:shrug:, but those jars do tend stall out sometimes and have troubles reaching the bottom when colonizing.

Can't get your hands on coir?
Also since you don't have too much spawn why not just put them in a tray and inside your SGFC? The lack of spawn might effect pinset and I think the smaller surface they have to colonize and fruit the better off you'll be with 1/4 pint jars .

Glad to see you're moving on to grains!
Good Vibes

Yeah, I would throw those in a tray.

Not sure if you can fruit those as cakes or if you'd want to. Grains are normally bulk spawn stuff but I could be wrong since I'm not familiar with whole brown rice.
