First time using flowhood question

Awww yea do Im freaking excited. Ive got about 30 jars to G2G and Im looking forward to the convenience of working in front of a hood.
Only problem is, I have a clean table it can sit on and be wiped with ISO but as for the location... the only place I can have it is in a basement. I vacuumed as best I could and tried tp tidy up but its an unfinished basement, they aren't known for being too clean haha Im gunna run the hood for a couple hours before I work but
So yea, not the most Ideal workspace, but as long as I keep myself clean and my work in front of the hood the dirty basement shouldn't factor in too much?

First of all, congratulations on the new flowhood. Welcome to the next level. Go to the next level above a flowhood, and get you an AA pressure cooker or plug in sterilizer if you haven't got one already.
Your laboratory plan sucks, my friend. Good spot for a spawning laboratory, but all 6 vectors for contamination using your current lab set up are open, flowhhood or not, unless you take SEVERAL more provisions to block all six vectors of contamination.
Let's begin with the walls, floor and ceiling of your basement/soon to be spawning laboratory. What kind of material(s) are the surfaces made out of?

I would just clean the room like normal, then just make sure the flowhood is on for a while before you use it

Is a plug in sterilizer that thing that looks like a cylinder that holds your tools?
The challenge is I live in shared space, I really only have a couple options and none of them are worthy of a laboratory clean room, friend
I mean I suppose I could frame up a plastic tent of thick drop cloth but aside from looking mega suspicious I dont think the GF would like it. Dont people bring small hoods on the road and do work in hotels?
Im really just a home mushroom enthusiast the best I can do is run the hood a couple hours, shower/wash and don Hair net face mask gloves and sleeves, do my work in front of the hood and hope for the best But im open to suggestions!!
Any who I just did my first G2G and I got 30 quarts done really fucking fast! Im so freaking nerdy haha Im like fantasizing about my first culture work haha I should have a plate ready for transfer tommorow
