Why are these pins growing down?

I have 2 pins that are growing towards the bottom of my chamber.

Should I let them grow or pick them before they touch down?

They might curl back up -- I've seen that happen a lot. If they're touching the bottom for a while it could be a contamination risk, but I've had that happen before and it was o.k.

You could always just prop it up, too, with something if you want.

I have been giving them light for anywhere from 4-8 hours per day. I thought that the pins would grow toward the light.

If light were reflecting off the plastic bottom there it might appear brighter to those pins.
