A quick question about my resume

I'm a very inexperienced young guy who doesn't have much to put on his resume. I only have two legitimate jobs to put on my resume + a job as a kid mowing lawns for my family.
Also, I did have plans to start a business growing, foraging, and selling wild mushrooms. I sold to my friends and family, so technically, it was a business.
My question is: Should I put this on my resume? I had it on there when I got my last job 10 months ago, but I'm not so sure if me getting that job was only a fluke, because I don't have much success getting jobs.
If it matters, I'm applying to jobs like UPS, coffee shops, retail, etc.
Thanks.

If you're using the shrooming to make a point then include it. You need to sell the idea right though. Small self run businesses could signify a candidate with their own drive or someone who flits between projects never actually getting much done. If you talk of the shroom business makes sure to indicate that it was successful. ie it was profitable, you had X+ repeat clients and sold via different methods such as face to face, online or purely off the word of mouth you could generate.
if you're applying for a sales/retail role then you've sales experience gained from selling edible mushrooms for your own profitable private venture. You are confident with approaching people with an aim of closing a sale. You've customer service experience from managing your own client list meeting demands with what is a very tricky commodity to supply.
If you bundle it as a way of explaining how you have the relevant skills then include it. Although be prepared to explain why you're choosing employment rather than the venture. Also an employer might be concerned if it's still running while you'd be employed.
Retail jobs tend not to need too much experience though, generally the emphasis is on personality. So include anything that shows you're social, talkative and confident with the public.
Goodluck on the job hunting

Yeah but it wasn't successful. I was basically selling 4-5 different types of mushrooms to maybe 10 people tops. I was just a kid messing around.
My main concern is that it gives the impression that I do drugs or sold psychedelic mushrooms.
(also, my personality sucks and I feel like I'll never get hired)

well, that should be your biggest focus.
with jobs like coffee shops and similar low-skill roles, you've really got to just sell yourself. nobody needs to see a resume to know that you know how to take out the trash and serve coffee - they just like to see a resume because it shows you're intelligent enough to make a piece of paper look pretty and read correctly.
i'd throw it all on your resume, but be prepared to back up each bulletpoint with tangible real-world shit.
but the #1 thing you can do to get hired is to just be confident as fuck.

I feel like I am confident. It's just that I'm quiet and I feel disingenuous making myself talk more and bullshit more and it comes off as being fake.
I sit up straight, look them in the eye, answer their questions, speak clearly, ask questions about the job, etc.
Maybe unfriendliness is a personality trait that I have and can't shake.

People hiring for low skilled jobs want a few basic things.
1) That you will show up on time and in a condition to work for every shift. This may seem basic, but it is more important than many realize.
2)That you fulfill your role in their business. Whether that is cleaning or serving customers or whatever. Seems simple sure, but it is what they need.
If you are engaging with your business owner's clients, it is important to have a professional appearance. This is part of my first point ie. showing up in a condition to work.
Try to emphasize how your past performance in work/school/volunteer or other capacity supports their need for my 2 points.
Good attendance in other jobs? at school? etc
As noted, confidence is very important.
I was once hired for a position in the forestry industry based on a comment in my cover letter that stated one of my interests was mushroom hunting. My boss was into it.
Good luck.

I very rarely was ever late to my last job. and I enjoyed hanging out and talking to customers.
I just suck at selling myself to employers. I know that I have a weird personality and some people get a sketchy vibe from me. But I guess I'll keep trying.
