wet spot?

beat the black dot contam, now dealing with wet spot maybe. There is excess moisture in the jars. Some grains have a wet spot around them. Can't tell if it's sterile water or some type of contam. Shook half the jars on day five after a g2g. A strange smell is now out of the shaken jars. Should dy verm be added before pcing? Is a half inch about right?

If you are doing grain, then no. You are using a tyvek filter disk or polyfill, right?

A bad smell is not good, especially if it is really noticable. Wet spot has a distinct odor like rotten fruit.

yes, using tyvek, why not use verm, heard of people doing this before?
