Touching Time
    #2078837 - 11/06/03 11:57 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

So i started reading about Einsteins theory of relativity. And i started to drift off in my thoughts thinking about how relative time is... how relative everything is in its juxtaposition. I was thinking about how maybe our reality changes so much... but since we are so engrained of where we are... being off in another place is just a thought. But i "thought" that maybe we did go there... For that space... Even as you type now... there is time... spaces in your thoughts as you try to plan this out... Spaces in your perception. Maybe we can do anything we want... its just the balance of our "reality" cancels out a change... Because we dont have the power to transcend the limits of time... Maybe... Is this totally bogus? Or Does anyone ever wonder anything simillar sometimes...?

i wonder about time, constantly.  it seems like the more open your perception is, the slower things move.  ie. paying attention to every detail.  i read a story once about a martial arts expert who slowed down his perception to do amazing things, like catching a glass knocked off a table, if you perceive the initial series of events, you can understand what the result of the chain of events will be, ie, understand what is to come.  i have several times (usually only on heavy dose psychedelics) experienced time slowing down to the extreme.  feeling like hours have passed, and its less than a minute.

i firmly believe that when we die, our brain releases its reserves of dmt into our bloodstream and slows down our perception of time to a standstill, thus our final resting place...the world moves on without us, but we stay forever.

we do have the power to transcend the limits of time, but only within our own minds.  you can make 1 minute last the rest of your life if you look at it the right way.  perception is time, time is of the essence, so percieve the essence and save yourself some time.

Do you happen to have anymore detail in that? I'm interested in reading up about that... sounds nifty.  :nut:

its been so long since i read that about the martial arts guy. it must have been 5 or 6 years ago, it was just mentioned in a story that had nothing to do with that whatsoever. ill try to find it again, but its been along time, i may come up with nothing.

it is words put to unimaginable things
