So my FOAF a good while ago when she innoculated her jars, the one that showed the most growth got a case of the green meanie. So she birthed, with a sterilized knife cut out the little colonized pieces of the cake and attempted to case them. So after a couple weeks it started to fruit! It's still in the process of the first flush, so her question is, are the fruits safe to eat? It doesn't really matter either way, but she thinks of how people try to salvage their casings that come down with the green and make out alright. Just a question she wanted me to ask, thanks in advance....

I personally wouldn?t take the chance. I would through that thing out, just because you can?t see it doesn?t mean it?s not still there. You only have one life. Also on another note, if by some miracle they were fine and your friend decided to take them, they would risk the chance of having a bad trip just wondering if they are ok or not.
I can harvest the first flush and break the casing to see if anything was growing on the inside. If you didn't find anything, i'd say they are safe to go. As for the casing goes, you could dig a hole and make an outdoor.
