Mmm those Entoloma bloxamii are delicious!  I'm drooling just looking at them...  Very nice finds!  How far north are you finding these Ran-D?

I give you the choice of 2 pills.

With each containing one of the following:
Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk?
Didn't think so.

This is why Positive Identification prior to consumption is important.

You really think so? I've looked into all these names but IMO my find is different than all of them.

:inonothing:

Thank you for all the compliments everyone, just glad I have some folks to share my pictures with. Most people I know are really weird and don't have any interest in mushroom hunting, wtf is that all about?

And some kind of cup that I haven't ID'd...

Any thoughts?

Is that Hohenbuehelia edible?  I recently found a huge patch of them and they look tasty.

Excellent sharp photos my friend.  What was your settings for those first few?  I've been trying to get proper saturation like that and it's hard for my newb skills.

I've eaten them before, they aren't bad. I think I know the exact patch you're talking about.

I was about to say I don't know then I realized you can see all the settings to my photos on Flickr. Pretty damn handy.

I've actually been getting frustrated with colors and saturation. The thing about my camera is (in my opinion anyway) whenever I set the white balance to shade or cloudy it overcompensates and the picture looks way too warm. So now I just shoot everything in sunny mode which of course leaves me having to edit the colors in every photo.

RD - I think they did have the slightest stem. I dried some of those already but I'm going to go back this weekend and grab a fresh specimen to check out the spores.
