I wanted to know does this look good for a setup / or is it too tight? Pleas assume Perlite will give even bottom. Pic below.
Btw 11 is a synergistic number and I like it.

about the holes and you're mushrooms aren't going to have much room in there. I saw Pasty do this a little bit ago with jars packed into a mono.

yea u can reduce it, but i feel like SGFC's that have more cakes perform better in pictures i see. i only have ever done a few cakes, a most were spawned to bulk, so i can't say from personal experience. but look at fhatsters cakes in the RR videos. the cakes evaporate, creating a small microclimate around them, so u can take advantage of that by packing cakes in to help boost humidity.

Now the process of studying begins. PC arrived earlier. Pressured the containers for 90 minutes. Now cooling for last two hours. Letting cool til cool to touch. Will be presenting spores for speculation tomorrow.
Process is that I will work in GB and sterilize in between damn near everything. Any advice before I go through that most tedious step in my studies?

Finished with setting up my studies. Though, I had some issues with shaking the syringes. The needle and syringe were seperated and there wasn't any air in the needle SO I had to draw the pluger back a back which meant putting on the needle and shaking it outside the box. Is this an issue? This was the only way I could of done it...
Also, when I took the jars out of PC ... they contents seemed more damp than when I put them in and more condensed. Though, I did everything in my power to prevent this prior to the PC. Did I do something wrong? And yes, I put tin foil on over the caps.
Lastly, for the life of me I could not inoculate from within the GB.. it was too hard to read the CC on the syringe.. so I had to do it open air However, I did so by placing the jars on top of iso alc wipes when do so.

Today is 7 days since innoc. Checked a couple times through the week. I am noticing little white fluffy bits near innoc sites. How long before I should expect full colonization? Also, as far as I can tell no contams have occured, but the jars are barely showing signs of inoc - just little white fluffs near innoc sites and not all jars are doing this uniformly.

another 7 days I would guess. Shake when those noc spots grow and the jar is about 30% colonized. If you shake it really good it will be 100% in the next 2 days after that shake
-------------------- An old man and his grandson are sitting by the fire outside the tepee, wrapped in furs and gazing into the leaping flames. High on a snowy ridge, a wolf howls at the moon and another answers from far away. Soon after, the old man removes the pipe from his mouth.
‘Grandson,’ he says. ‘There are two wolves inside you. One is white and the other is black.’
‘What are they doing there, Grandfather?’ asks the wide-eyed boy.
‘They are fighting each other,’ says the old man.
The boy considers this, then asks, ‘Why are they white and black?’
‘The white one is your love, your peace and your truth. The black one is your fear, your anger and your lies.’
The fire crackles and sparks flare in the night. The wolf on the ridge howls again and the old man puffs contentedly on his pipe. Finally, the boy says, ‘Which one will win, Grandfather?’
‘Ah,’ says the old man, removing the pipe once more. ‘The one that wins is the one that you feed.’

Shaking is only for grains, OP is using BRF cakes, and we never shake cakes.....ever.....it would compromise the dry verm layer and send any contams it has trapped right into the middle of the cake.
Terrible advice.

lol please dont shake your brf jars. There is no set number of days for complete colonization. I would say 15-20 is about average? plus consolidation times your lookin at a few weeks.
