A bit of info on Mucuna Pruriens:
For those who are unfamiliar, Mucuna is an herb believed to be native to India that has been used as a coffee substitute, a treatment for parkinsons and as an admixture to south american Ayahuasca brews. It's constituents are primarily L-Dopa (5-8% usually) which is the direct precursor for Dopamine. It is the 5-htp equivalent of Dopamine one could say, bypassing the barriers that limit a high dopamine level through amino acid consumption. Other alkaloids of Mucuna pruriens include 5-htp, serotonin, nicotine, tryptamines, salsolinol, and beta-carbolines that are believed to have an effect on testoterone, libido, and muscle growth.
When taken with green tea, the L-dopa more readily enters the blood brain barrier before it is converted into dopamine and provides a stronger stimulation than taken without. Without green tea, Mucuna is more of an anti-prolactin agent (prolactin is what causes the feeling of a sexual hangover). Some have said that mucuna completely removes the "cool-down" time between sexual sessions. I do not find Mucuna makes me aroused in the way say catuaba does, but this should not discount it's use as an aphrodisiac. L-Dopa is also believed to play a key role when it comes to the body producing endogenous opioids, and consumption is believed to provide a mild analgesic affect in addition to it's stimulating effects and mood increase.
The main effects I notice from Mucuna include: -Stimulation -Focus -Confidence
Mucuna has many different varieties, colors, tastes and effects depending on where the bean is grown, whether it is wild or cultivated, and possesses a very large variable range of constituents.
My preferred method of consumption is mixing an equal weight of ground Mucuna with Green tea, between 3-10 grams of each, and I often include other herbs to modulate or potentate the effects such as cayenne, black pepper, turmeric, coffee or guayusa, catuaba, muira puama, raw cacao etc. I would not mix Mucuna with MAO inhibitors. That being said, if you are responsible there is definitely potential here when it comes to mixing. If Mucuna is considered for long term use, it is recommended to take 5-htp alongside of it to prevent an imbalance of serotonin to dopamine
Mucuna can also be smoked, the leaves and shoots being much easier to inhale than the bean itself. Upon heating, L-Dopa is converted into Dopamine and smoking Mucuna can provide effects quite similar to when it is mixed with green tea. I quite enjoy a smoking blend of Mucuna pruriens foliage with some crushed beans thrown in combined with kanna, caapi laves, & mullein.
I am going to try smoking a joint of it now!

Moonshoe, very curious to see how this works for you. I have a bottle from a USP rep that I got for free, was just going to sell it but may end up taking it if it works well for you.
Look into D-aspartic acid btw. Until I see results with this myself better that DAA, DAA is by far in my opinion the best natural test booster someone can buy. Cheap too.
