Wow that is nice but what material is that in your filters? It better not be cotton.

I'm not familiar with that setup. Is that just water, pebbles, and a bubbler?

That is geolite, works like perlite but better. That contraption on the far left is an air pump. There are holes at the top to let out co2 and air exchange yet they are filtered so humidity can't escape yet air exchange can take place.

EDIT: Only problem that I can foresee which might happen is water droplets forming on the roof and dripping down. This is no prob though as you can install a drip shield no problem.

It absorbs water. Then it becomes water logged. A water logged filter is a useless filter.

How much water do you use for a given geolite depth?

It's a one-way valve.... so no water could backup in.

Cotton is a bad choice. Go to the hobby store, get some polyfil (something like that) pillow stuffing and use that instead.

Can i get a little incite about adding plants to my chamber? I basically want to do this for looks, but it would help with recycling the co2. Would bringing plants into a mushroom environment increase the risk of contams or have any other negative effects on the mushies? I was thinking of adding maybe a couple tropical plants, and maybe a venus fly trap. If i added a VFT (Venus fly trap) to my setup, would i have to manually feed the VFT or is manual feeding of a VFT just a myth?
