can i case these together and if so can i mix them together or should i keep the two seperate?

wouldn't here be an uneven growth on the casing if half is substrate A and the other half is substrate B? Or would he have to mix the two evenly through out the casing?

i dunno the answer to that one. if the strain is identical, there'll be no competition going on, so i suppose it'd all just do its thing. maybe one grain would be slightly 'better' than the other....

i don't case straight grains, personally - you can multiply your yield by 5 or more by spawning into pasteurised straw/poo, so i like to do that. i prefer bigger yields.

it'd be interesting to see if the rye side pinned/fruited differently to the popcorn side, so i'd be tempted to leave them unmixed, if i was doing what he's doing.

well since the last casing i divided the container in half and put a quart jar on each side. both same strain both same substrate. Its pinning nicely.

Id mix them but i like ur last idea shirley about not mixing to see if the fruits differ from one side to the next so i think thats what ill do. any suggestions on casing? I have been using a coir/verm mix. not sure on ratio usually a handfull or two of both

I would spawn but im running out of room in the fruiting chamber and am too lazy for lack of a better reason to build another. I prolly should have considered what i was gonna do with all the jars before i built this thing.
