[/url] ya new here I came accross these beauties on beacon hill seattle....they were pulsing blue as I walked by so I took a closer look and grabbed some....I haven't taken the time for a print yet (I dried the other ones out already) and was going to go grab one more to get a print today when I get time. I'm excited about the find but not making any stupid decisions. Just want a couple of opinions...caps browned a little during drying but still a nice overall bluish hue. Ill get a pic of hem dried too and also a spore print later hopefully.

Stropharia is a genus.
I was saying it was a blue colored mushroom in that genus, like Stropharia caerulea, Stropharia aeruginosa, and Stropharia cyanea

"sp." is just shorthand for the word "species". If you know you have a mushroom in the genus Amanita, but you don't know what species, you call it Amanita sp. If you also know the species you call it Amanita muscaria.
