Acceptable concentration of mycelium?

Using a liquid innoculant, what do some of you experienced people find to be an acceptable concentration of mycelium? I'm tempted to wait until the container is chock full of white floaties, but i'm unsure. Any comments or helpful experiences?

i suppose it really depends on whether you pour your liquid inoculant directly from the jar or if you inoculate via mycelium syringe.
if using the latter youd want to be sure its not too thick and clogs your needle.

If you make a syringe now, the mycelia should continue to grow inside the syringe.

only thing that i'd be concerned about with making a syringe without acceptable amounts of mycelium would be the gas exchange factor...but thanks for answering my question, guys. Stay Frosty. R.C.

Well, if you put the syringe in the fridge, or if you inoculate soon, gas exchange won't be a problem. Liquid myc can survive at least two weeks without fresh air... at room temperature. Often, it can last longer. In the fridge, it'll last months.

On the same note, once the mycelium has started to grow, is the entire solutution then viable or only the pieces of mycelium? Ill break the mycelium up, of course, but does the solution have more spores in it or anything active?

I guess if you were careful, you could get a syringe full of water, but myc is what you want.
